Not sure HZ. Wonder if those that are and have been growing are still gonna be able to or if the monied interest behind this bill are gonna hold us captive to $55.00 1/8ths?

Humm,
Been reading through this bill. So those that want to open a dispensary in the State of Nevada-
1-Don't need to be a state resident like the patients they sell to.
(Read that as anyone from out of state with the money)

2-Don't need to be a registered MMJ patient like the ones they are going to sell to
(Can't have that pesky little problem in the way)

3-Can take marijuana, finished product and plants, given to them by a registered patient or their caregiver without having to pay for it and can then turn around and sell it for their pocket
(Just continue to fuck the guy they are selling to)

4-Having the rules regarding past felony problems not apply through exclusions instead of abiding by the same rules that apply to patients on the registry.
(Makes one wonder why they would even put this into the bill if there weren't some problems eh)

5-Need to have 150,000.00 of liquid assets to even be eligible to open a dispensary.
(Lets keep the little guy out of it that have the means to do the same)

Wonder who SENATORS TICK SEGERBLOM AND MARK MANENDO are really looking out for? Damn sure isn't the patients in Nevada.

requires a 2/3rd majority vote, most likely because it is attempting to alter the twice voter passed MMJ language. 12 plants and 2.5oz is still too low, but at least they don't add any new cultivation crimes.

NV DOES NOT HAVE A LAW AGAINST GROWING CANNABIS (only selling or possessing).

after growing in texas for a decade, there is no law that is gonna scare me away from growing. I'll do what I always do regardless of legality.

Only thing I can find, HUGE, is send a message to your districts rep/senator. Not easy to find info as to where one can voice concerns over proposed bills or even public comment. Found out Saturday that there was a public comment session this past Friday in Vegas at the Sawyer Building I think it was.

Didn't you get the memo?

But... it was posted in the cellar of the capitol building... right behind that old filing cabinet. Yes, the rusted one that's falling apart... just pull it away from the wall and, THERE! See? There's the memo of that meeting.

And you're all huffy like we didn't post it or something. Geeze!

Lol. SEGERBLOM was touting the fact that AZ dispensaries he visited were charging $55.00 an eighth like it was a good deal for patients. They probably meant $10.00 a gram. They don't know how much a gram, eighth, or oz look like. Just the tax dollars, for "the children and schools".
Also they are discussing full legalization today on the floor.

Lawmaker says marijuana dispensaries could be open in a year, if bill*passes

By*Cy RyanFri, Mar 29, 2013 (5:30 p.m.)CARSON CITY — Medical marijuana dispensaries could be open in Nevada in a year if a bill to allow them passes the Legislature this session, a lawmaker pushing the measure said. Most members of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Friday voiced support for the bill, which has been amended to permit private businesses to run the clinics rather than nonprofit groups. The bill would allow one dispensary for every ten pharmacies.Medical marijuana is legal in Nevada, but state law does not permit dispensaries to distribute it.Sen. Tick Segerblom. D-Las Vegas, sponsor of the bill, said he hopes the first clinics in Nevada could be operating in a year. Segerblom, chairman of the committee, said it must vote by mid-April.Segerblom said there are 3,500 registered medical marijuana users now, but he envisions that number growing to 35,000.The purchase price for marijuana would be $10 an ounce. A person would be limited to 2 ounces of prescribed marijuana in any 14 day period. There were questions about whether people with medical marijuana cards from other states would be recognized in Nevada and how the dispensaries would obtain their marijuana. Those issues will be addressed in amendments before the bill is voted on.Metro Police representative Chuck Callaway asked the committee to include stiffer penalties for those who illegally sell and use marijuana.

Fuck Chuck Callaway, I ask the committee to strip funding from PIGS who don't know how to protect or serve, what a worthless waste of cells.
