Send me a ticket over there and we can match some bowls lol. W89 nothing wrong with a little fade at all. Some strains seem to do it more than others from my experience. Look at that poor bitch lol.

How about you get your own ticket and I'l sort the green LOL! Lovely plant btw!

All of the cannabis plants fade to yellow, it is a matter of feeding, some take more and some less, getting them all to yellow out like that is what i like to do...nice buds!

Thanks for the info!

vapor about the only bearing feeding has on fall colors is if you have too much N going on in flower it will take longer to see senescence

'feeding' as such {because you are referring to feeding the plant} isnt really applicable to the living soil paradigm

Yeah thats what I was trying to get it, maybe once I get my soil recycled a few times and into some bigger pots my soil will become more "living" and maybe my plants will look more like gas's nice and green through-out the cycle

You may want to throw a few ACTs in there W89, despite what some may say I find them useful to apply as often as every 3 weeks in a new soil or recycle. Seems to work for me and a lot of my pics are old roots organics with just shitloads of different teas and top dressings.

Yeah I have been giving an ACT about once a month, I would like to do on every week or 2 but my pumps too noisey and I cant sleep with it on in my room.. I might just go buy a set of ear plugs and see if they work

What strain is that in your pic above? I done a strain called Delahaze that looked like that

2 weeks even better man. That strain is Casey Jones "Joe Cut" I let her run real long for extra pleasure ;) She makes colas like 2 liter bottles no joke.

I am trying to understand here so bare with me. So i amend with organics for the last 5 years with the same soil do i qualify as living soil system? I know my soil has gotten better the more i reuse it, and sure does seem alive!....
When i mean feeding i mean the minerals and such you are using,biozome, mycos, compost. worm post{vermi} etc. from my understanding microbes make{break down} the purest forms of the element for the plant to use.I use my vortex brewer{55gallon} every 10 daze or so. So i see you want green plants all the way through, me myself prefer the plants to yellow out and eat all there food and the smoke is nice white clean ash, and usually smokes fine 4 or 5 daze off the dry line. sometimes if plants are too green they dont burn great. so every plant is different. just trying to understand what you guys are getting at thanks peace.

I would highly doubt that your soil isn't alive. For being that old and just feeding it organics goodies, you should be in tip top shape. Alive and well!!!

i still maintain that any medium growing a plant is going to be 'alive' to varying degrees

the distinguishing factor in living soil is the emphasis on that microbial life and really making your decisions based on keeping the medium's biology thriving

i believe many have success and attribute it to a product or practice not realizing something else is actually the key factor

it's essentially the case that canna is a prolific weed and actually kind of difficult to kill <which mostly means there isn't a need for it's own category of botany. 'stoner science' and it's tenets {like flushing} has become it's own category of 'botany' but; w/ some techs that are actually ineffective if not counter-productive.

and; it's not really a heavy feeder {that thinking just sells more fancy bottles}

anyway, feed the soil not the plant and dont worry about cleaning the old nuts out, white ash, pH, brix, et al

worry about sourcing {making your own?} quality humus {w89 last post in the new improved ROLS thread is a hallmark of that thinking}

We have a whole industry built on the "stoner science"
I havent been to hydro store to buy fert in ages

I use the ideal soil book as a guideline and for the last 3 years have been refining as per my taste in cannabis. I still think there is a difference in a plant that has cannabalized its nutrients not "flushing", then one that does not. That may be personal choice. I have grown a lot of seeds over the years and there is definitely plants that use more rootspace and "food" and other that do not use as much.
I understand the making and sourcing your own "foods" as i learn more and my wee farm here grows i will be growing more crops for "ferts" i compost my scaps weeds leaves etc etc etc. humus building is important, and takes time{ a long time!}
anyways the more i learn/experiment, the more we learn as long as we study and keep a open mind,microbes are our friend with balanced minerals.
ps would love to see a organic cup of sorts...more of a friendly way to see what everyone's plants end up like then who is the best, many factor in personal tastes.
peace

I've not grown these plants before so not sure, but if it was cold surely they all would purple out? it's only the 2 sk1 x afghanis it's the buds and leaves that are turning purple, really pretty buds

Old_Headbanger

I love when the buds and leaves start to show more colors. When the reds start coming out you know your on the home stretch. Everything looks incredible!!
