what is the difference,and understanding the n-p-k ratios that are using the decimals like on my H_G newer bottles. Vs the older no decimal bottles. its probably simple ,just not getting it yet. explanations anyone.

It's the same as understanding it with whole numbers, only it's fractionally different.. lol

G-d I love H&G man. I'm actually harvesting my first run with full H&G line and it really turned out amazing dude. I swear I used to dread mixing nutrients when it came time to. And no joke. I like get excited now to mix it all up. It's fun cause I know the shit works amazing. Only thing is. Mixing A+b and waiting. First mixing A wait 15 minutes or so and then mixing B wait 15 minutes. Then PH if necc. And then add all your additives. It's not so bad though. I just know this way I don't get any lockouts from mixing the AB too quickly. It works well. That's the way it's supposed to be done. If anyone isn't doing that. Start right away and you will see how much better it works.

Just made up my second res mix for my first run last night. I just spent the waiting time cleaning up my room and taking clones.

Yaah. I get lazy too but def can't be when mixing 2 part nutrients. Cause you might of caused a lockout of come sort and that's why they are light. Next time you need to mix a Batch of nutrients up. Try it the way I said. Take a 1 gallon water jug Mix (Part A-) shake the shit out of it let wait like 15 minutes. Let it Seymour Go do something else in meantime while you waiting. And then Mix (Part B) up shake the shit out of it Let it settle. Wait an additional 10-15 minutes. Then PH it. Then you could add to additives. You don't gotta wait 15 minutes in between each of the additives though. Just dump iit in. Shake it up aggressively. And then add the next one. Etc etc.

Trust me. Just try this method 1 time and you'll see the difference your nutrient mix. Will actually work the way it's supposed to and actually be absorbed by your plants. Then tell me if your plants look a lot better after trying this method.

Ok,today i added protekt to some ro water,then part A,waited 20 mins,then added part b,waited 20 mins and ph'd the mix to 6.0,w/ my bluelab.Then added drip clean,hygrozyme,amino treatment,roots excel,and sea green.I mixed the solution up after every additive.After everything was added I ph'd the solution and it was 5.0!!!!! I then let the mix sit and tested it every hour.And it only raised to 5.1!!!!!! Ive been doing this same thing for a while now,this was the just the first time I ph'd after I mixed in the additives.This all just doesnt make any since to me.Feeding your plants at a ph of 5.0-5.1,cant be healthy for plants in coco.I dont see why you shouldnt reset the ph after you add the additives.I really like H&G but this ph issue really makes me want to give canna a try.....

Well check it out here is the first mistake that I can see you did right off the bat

Don't add/use both drip clean and sea green in the same nutrient mix. That will def mess things up from what I've seen asked and spoken to many people including reps of both companies and I have both products myself and used them both Great products but def not together . Second. Instead of adding the protekt first. Add it after mixing your base since its going to raise your PH anyway you could even add it last with the additives part. Now also. After doing your first mix which I suggest doing is:

[Part A---->*20min*---->Part B ---->*20min*---->PH---->Additives]

Now as long as you PH after mixing your base nutrients your good. Do t worry about the additives messing with your PH levels they will do that naturally but stabilize themselves.

I even do this

[Part A---->*20min*---->Part B ---->*20min*---->silica---->Additives]

But just follow the first one and you'll be good trust me on this method it works perfectly just the way it's supposed to. I never had an issue with it. Drip clean is def the shit. Really helps avoid the nute burning issues. No real burnt tips. Unless you OD on stuff. Give this a try and let me know what's up.

Well there green now "really green"

Yeah- pick one sea green or DC.

A , B then pH... This is so the beneficials from the additives can live.... Get multizen...hygrozyme is not food for pH

I get a little residue in the bottom of the rez , but it never seems to be a problem.. once in a while, I pull it out and rinse it.. good to go..

Thanks
Whats the word on a airstone in the rez with h&g cocos

Remember reading that the root excel is the main additive that ususally cant be in a airstone rez cuz the bacteria requires low oxygen.

Could be wrong tho, just a newb learning.

a small pump recirculating the res would work better than an air stone, a far as keeping everything in solution. An air stone should keep things from stagnating.

Ive read several times that protekt MUST be added 1st because the silica undiluted,binds with npk and render them useless.So Im a little confused on this issue.I think I will be dropping the drip clean because I think sea green will give my plants more benefits than the DC.:thank you:

Ive been using multizen all along,just started using hygrozyme because I was having some issues with my roots.But now Im back on track and seeing new healthy white roots,so I will switch back to multizen.Also Im gonna start inoculating with ogbiowar cap bennies.Will the multizen be harmful to the bennies??I know hygrozyme is harmful to bennies.:thank you:
