I have made a habit of bubbling the Earth Juice (both Grow and Bloom) for 24 hours, but only because I have read about it online. To be honest, I bought a pH test kit once and tested a sample of the EJ after bubbling and it was still too high by a wide margin. I decided that its too stressful to worry about ph levels while still dialing everything else in. I have seen no burning or other symptoms. I used that rich BOG soil mix with the bone meal, blood meal, and a stiff dose of Fox Farms Big Bloom when I flipped.

MOAR pics! I wish I had a camera because my iPhone doesn't do these flowers justice. I took down the Sam the Skunkman Skunk x Original Haze plant today and it looks good. More on that when it's dry.

Today I also took even more flowers off the two remaining Sour Bubble plants. I didn't do a good enough job of training them- the leaves are so big and thick that there were a lot of buds in the shade, Hopefully the remaining ones will continue to swell for a bit. The strategy of harvesting a few at a time has worked so far.

There three clones of my favorite plants into the flower tent today. They have been veg'ing for 12 weeks . I feel very lucky to have had a pest and disease free run this time around.

Thanks Rocketman and Chunkypigs! Took them to 60 days roughly. Cold temps probably slowed them down a little bit. Another harvest coming at the beginning of May. It has taken me a few days to get used to how strong this stuff is. I slept a lot the first few days

Hey Bandito,
I thought the pH for EJ bloom was acidic (low pH) right out of the jug, and mixed with neutral water..I remember Bushy saying on OG that his water or soil was more alkaline, so he did not bother to bubble...Maybe that was in Montana, eh Bushy?
I may be adding to my problem when I recycle soil if EJ is alkaline- as I don't usually bubble it; just let it sit, then add to bottom of run-off trays where my aerator stones brew it a bit. It definitely rocks, tho, and I have a hard time matching up a substitute for a bloom nute like this one. I do make my own EWC.Molasses teas and a mix called Garret Juice with compost tea, molasses, liquid kelp, and cider vinegar to acidify and feed the "herd"
My biggest problem with organic soil is waiting for the composting to cook and make the less available bone meal and other minerals active and absorbable...
U obviously don't have any problems there! Frosty enough!
Wish I was in the Sac area to help sample... and get some select clones of SB.. maybe later... until then I'll have to "make do" with what comes in the Royal Mail envelope. He He 1 pack of SB BX3/4 chillin'...So many sours to try...so little space..

Yeah Doc I am ph dyslexic and I always think about higher acidity being high ph. It was low ph. I was using one of those color coded testers and it looked like maybe between a 3 and 4.

With that batch of soil I had whipped it up a few weeks earlier. When I opened the plastic tote I had stored it in, there was a thick white carpet of hairy looking mold. I think that soil was alive enough to take care of its own ph fluctuations.

Anything that grows in your pack of seeds will be amazing I'm sure. If a noob like me can grow world class weed with this strain in non ideal conditions, anyone can.

Ps: these buds are savagely dense. I have read that about this strain hundreds of times but until I actually watched a bud dry and handled it, I didn't understand just HOW dense. A small chunk lasts quite a while.

Hey folks- it always gets quiet during harvest time! I'm drying these flowers in my garage, and it's taking around 2 weeks to get them ready for jars. I staggered the harvesting, so I've been able to avoid any trim-a-thons. Just a solid hour of trimming every couple of days. The people I've shared the Sour Bubble with have been absolutely blown away. I haven't had one friend go beyond three puffs.

Today I got to experience a new first as a grower. I have a good friend at work who has been pretty distraught the past couple of weeks. His best friend has been fighting cancer (lymph nodes) and the doctors have recently decided to stop any further treatment. It's spread too fast and he is rapidly deteriorating. He is not eating and has lost an astonishing amount of weight in just the past two weeks. Heartbreaking. The doctor told him that it's all about making his last days more comfortable now, and recommended that he get some cannabis to help with the nausea, appetite, and pain. Today I loaned him a vaporizer and gave him a bunch of fresh Sour Bubble flowers. He had no previous experience with cannabis, and no money to buy it.

We'll see how much it helps him, but I have a good feeling about it. It's amazing to think that the flowers I've been cultivating for five months are going to serve an incredibly important medicinal purpose. If I was in his position, I think Sour Bubble would be MY choice. We'll see what he says.

So now that I have a patient, I thought it was worthwhile to have this batch of flowers tested. Just got the results back from Sequoia- 20.05 percent THC, no pests, mold, pesticides, or other contaminates. 10 percent moisture is probably a tad too high. I will post the entire report when I am on my work computer- need to convert it from PDF to an image file. I am ecstatic with the results! BOG for life.

a good tutorial on qwet extraction for Rick Simpson style oil. I think cali everclear is only 150 proof so you need to run it through the distiller once before using to get the excess water out.

Thanks for posting those results on the SB, Amigo!
If you compare with other non-sour flavors (without the high limonene) numbers, you see where the THC is made from- that's the basic molecule "building block" for high delta cannabinoids... Keep it Sour- it will be Sweet!
I commend you on your effort to help a friend in need, many kudos!

I also have had the opportunity to assist in boosting appetites and morale with relatives, even with the repressive and profit motive-driven interests holding up our progress in medicine. Cancer is one opportunity, Crohn's Disease and all the problems associated with natural immune response is another of many opportunities. If they don't know a cause. they usually overdo the quantities and dosage of symtom-relievers, when all is needed is an accurate view of the indications and the historical use of cannabis and other "tried and true" remedies from centuries of testing.

So in addition to being 20 percent THC, this Sour Bubble tastes fantastic. It's changing as it cures, and the sour smells seem to be coming out a bit more. I have several ounces to hold me over:


With the hot weather coming I only have another couple of months of indoor growing left, so I threw everything into flower, including the young ones. I figure I can use a small female for seeds. It's been almost 2 weeks in flower and I threw out 3 males today. Here's a shot of the tent through the glasses:


I have the 400 and 600 HPS lamps in there side by side in air cooled hoods and I got a big boy extraction fan to handle the extra heat. Cap controller turns the fan on at 75 degrees canopy temp. Things are good- 50 days or so left!

I did just take another ten clones from my keeper that I put into flower:

I can tell you love the sour bubble as much as I do. Nothing gets peoples attention like the aroma of sour bubble either being rolled or smoked in the air. If I take 1 pre-rolled doobie in a bag in my jean pocket I make friends from 20 feet away!

I have seen many a folk puke, pass out, even heard of 3 people puking at once in the shower and toliet. One time a woman was annoying my Mom and the lady mentioned she hadn't smoked yet that night so my mom smoked a sour bubble with her to "shut her up" she said. The lady passed out under a pine tree at 9:30pm on a saturday night at a party. Oh, and don't light that shit up at a party. Totally ruins it if it is more alcohol type thing. People are drunk and don't know what they are doing, smoke a whole sour bubble with you, and they are going home. Only weed I have ever known to end a party.

I have a SERIOUS stash of sour bubble storys lol. I have grown out and smoked alot of weed but nothing kicks your ass like a Sour B.

When curing she starts out kind of chocolately and then around 2 weeks starts limeing up for me, if that is the case for you, sounds like you have a good pheno. After 40 beans now I have only found one sour lime keeper like this. What seeds did you run? bx2/bx3/bx4?

Wow! You are right PK- I am giddy with excitement and totally in love with SB. I am also stoked to have growers like you and BOG check out my noob operation and reminisce a bit. I have read your thread several times and that's why I am growing SB, using smart pots, and pinching the ladies a lot. Your willingness to share your experience means so much to so many of us.

I think I got lucky on my keeper- first pack of bx3/bx4. The others are more earthy/chocolate smelling. I haven't been able to get any friends to take more than 2 hits, but tonight I am going to ruin some folks . Playing hockey and going out for beers with the team afterward. I'm not Nostradamus but I have a feeling somebody's gonna turn pale and break out into a cold sweat. I am a monster smoker with a huge tolerance and this shit makes me take a knee every once in a while.

I know you're a video game guy- last night I was playing Battlefield 3, super high, and on a capture the flag map. I was riding around in a dirt bike like a maniac, doing nothin productive for my team, in a permanent wheelie, laughing hysterically. I hadn't notice that a teammate had snagged the enemy flag and hopped on the back of my bike. All I had to do was drop him off at our base and we would have won. Instead, everyone on the server chased me around for five minutes. Just as I figured out was was going on, I got kicked from the server.

I am sure I will collect more stories because I will be growing this forever. My lymphoma patient reports amazing progress with appetite stimulation and is eating some solid food again! The smell of food makes him nauseous unless he is high. It also helps him get off the couch. He is really weak and mostly lays down but yesterday he was sen out front of the house sweeping his driveway. Guess he had wandered onto the porch to vape a bowl and sort of forgot he was dying for a few- felt like doing some chores! His best friend told me all of this with tears of joy in his eyes. You played a part in this too, PK. Enjoy your good karma.

Bubble bags! Oh yeah baby. I only got the 3 bag kit but whatevs. Here's what went down today after I came home from the smoke shop:



This was about 175 grams of SB trimmings and loose buds with a little side of Skunk #1 leaves. I used premium ice and distilled water.



After 20 minutes of mixing I yanked out the work bag and cleaned it out. Here's what I found in the next bag:



So now I am down to one bag- the 25 micron:



It's gorgeous. It smells dank and stanky. Will wait til it dries before I weigh it and I am sure I will get it tested as well. Love these bags though!
