You should start practicing LST. Just bend the plants sideways and bring that light closer. I used a 2x55w PL-L light and it needed to be really close or the plants didn't grow at all. Definitely let them grow with a 18/6 light schedule for a few more weeks.

psyphish: Thanks for the input! I'm waiting for my oscillating fans before I bring it down cloer. I don't want hot air being stagnant around my plants. Your advice is welcome though :)

Get them under the HPS,they're big enough.Just hang the light 18"-24" from the top of the plants the first day or three, then start to lower the light about 3"-6" a day until it is about 12" from the tops of plants...closer if canopy temps allow.Always use the back of your hand test, just place the back of your hand x inches from the light for 5 minutes.Chances are if the back of your hand is comfortable x inches from your bulb then so will your plants/buds,but beware of light bleaching when getting as close as 6" or less.

Get some nutes, don't wait...you din't have to spend a lot of money, just try the lucas formula...

All the lucas formula is is a base starting ppm N-P-K-Mg list of 100-100-200-60

GH FloraMicro & FloraBloom @ 8ml/16ml per gallon of RO water comes damn close to this and you can pick up a quart of both for $25 total.

If that's too much you can try the K.I.S.S. Method (lucas formula with GH's MaxiBloom powder) @ 7grams per gallon of RO water, and you can pick up a 2.2 pound bag of MaxiBloom for $15-$20 and it eill definitely ladt you more then one grow.

After running with the lucas formula for a while (particularly with one strain yo learn just what it wants and when it wants it) you can toy with using additives/supplements in your nutrient regime to truly dial your grow/strain...assuming all environmental factors are dialed.

So,get them under that HPS and get yourself some nutes and watch them explode with growth.

Since I brought up Lucas Formula & K.I.S.S. Method I'll provide some reading material on both as well as a little extra...

Cheese is one of the hardest smell to control. Some growers do not grow this strain just for that reason. Think about this. If your whole place smell like cheese now and they are seedlings. What do you think it is going to smell like at 5 weeks flower? That carbon filter will be maxed out. Interesting to see if it will contain it. May have to use some additional methods to keep it stealthy...especially in a apartment.
As you have found out water quality should be of the highest. R/O is the way to go.
That crap early on that someone was talking about plants thriving in 90+ temps in total BS...not indoor they won't. Constant fresh ait flow cannot be underestimated. The room door closed technique is not going to cut it down the road when they start to get big.
Its fun learning right?

dank: Thanks, but I'll keep going with hempy. Dead set on learning this, not copping out just because things are tricky. As I said at start, I didn't even think I'd get the seeds to pop. Sure morale is getting beaten every now and then, but that's learning right there.

negative: Yeah it will definitley be interesting. Right now the filter removes all the smell (that I can tell anyway), we'll see what happens. I'll get some ona gel/blocks if it doesn't cut it.

Definitley fun :)

Edit: Jnugg thanks again for your input! I went out and got Flora Nova Bloom, oddly enough the cheapest one for me. The Maxibloom isn't available in europe according to GHE. They will go under the HPS today, not repotting today though. I reckon they can grow some more in current pots.

good on you lazyeye for sticking with it would it not have been better too get a good root system in the rockwool before transplanting them too the hempy system...i have heard the hempy buckets are good

The roots were popping out of the bottom of the rockwool before I moved them to the current buckets. Based on what I've seen on vids and read on different forums I should even have been a bit faster with moving them to the pots. But I didn't have the pots at that time.

Just placed them under the HPS, it's dimmed down to 400W for now and will be at least until tomorrow. Been a while since I did a temp check when the HPS was on so we'll see where we end up.

With the CFL I was running the lights 24/0 thanks to buying unearthed timers when I had to have earthed. Bought timers today as well, HPS is set to 18/6.

Bought the smallest Flora Nova (16oz), it will last for 47 batches using my 5L jug that I mix in. Plenty of time for my wallet to be reimburced and able to purchase more. Since my jug is a little bit bigger than a gallon I will mix 10ml of Flora Nova Bloom to 5L of water. To be precise I would need 10.4ml but bah, 10 will do I think. They'll get the first feeding later today.

I wanted to go with micro and bloom first, but nova ended up cheaper somehow. Everything I've read says that that is the easiest one to work with, but the most expensive one. Well I don't mind... As for the Maxibloom, it's impossible to get in europe if you don't want to order from abroad. When asking GHE a while back they said that the european market don't carry this. When asked why I didn't get a reply... The only powder nute I've seen here is the Green House Seed Company one, wich I can't find any review on at all (was a while since I looked though).

My oscillating fans will hopefully be here on tuesday according to the clerk. After that all I need is more nutes, more soilless mixture and a 25L jug with a tap to have as a water res. The 5L wont cut it once I repot into the 10L buckets.

Take care guys, appreciate all the help I've gotten today - priceless!

P.S When mixing the nutes with the water the water obviously is colored by the nutes. With me using GH drops to check PH I'm a bit confused. The water/nute mix is like brown/yellow, wich makes it hard to tell what PH I get. When I tested this time it said around 5, but now I'm a bit worried that the coloration from the nutes are making me unable to check it this way. PH from the tap is still around 8, can nutes really lower it that far down?

Don't worry about the coloration of the nutrient/water solution when using pH drop test kits but, they're only good for getting an idea of what range your pH is in,a pH pen will give you pretty accurate readings from 0-14 in 0.1 increments allowing you to fine tune the pH of your nute solution.

Yes nutes can drop your waters pH to 5.0...when I used to use FF's liquid nutes Tiger Bloom would drop my pH to 4.0

Just adjust pH as necessary.

Jnugg: Another run to the hydrostore it is then, I only bought PH down when I noticed my PH problem. Didn't take this part in to consideration. It's alright though, they are starting to get to know me at the hydrostore :D

5th: Welcome back bud! Havn't seen you in a while, you good? Yeah I was thinking of getting two, how long have you had yours?

Nah...I'm still fuct. Another month or so I reckon to get shit sorted.

I've had mine for 14 months, only used for 4 months though. I bought the other as a spare just incase my drunkard ass stepped on the one I use. Once in awhile I'd pull out the spare to compare readings...they were always the same between the two.

PH pens are like condoms bro. Disposable.

What's the matter? Can talk over PM if you'd like.

Funny thing, my paypal account that I've used before is for some reason blocked. I think it's due to someone tried to hack it. No matter, I had no funds on it anyway. BUT I then recalled "didn't I have two...", sure enough, and this one was funded as well. 2 pens ordered, and I count them as freebies! :D

lol, score.

I ordered the DPDT relays I built my Flip Flop box with out of the US. Terrible customer service, had to call a dozen times to find out what was what.
Checked my Visa after I finally received them to find out that they didn't charge me...sweet...free shit. Then I felt bad...karma I reckon...so I called em back a few times. They still didn't charge me for them....score. Nice when things like that happen from time to time.

As far as me its nothing serious. I'm going to plead to the Production charge. The crown is going to drop the assault on a peace officer, breach, and possession charges.
It's a great deal and I was stupid not to have jumped on it earlier. ....then again..."earlier" I used to think laws where put in place to protect people...not fuck with their civil liberties n' rights.

Haha! Well at least karma can't shit on you for that one!

Oh, didn't even know you got busted. Will there be any repurcussions to the plead?

On another note: The plants are doing great under the HPS. Like 30 minutes ago I cranked it up to 600W and the ambient temp is ~29C. This is with the window hatch open and a few degrees below 0 outside. As long as it's below 32C (90F) I'm happy. Heat will be an issue when it gets hotter outside I reckon...

Might be best to start looking for a small, cheap AC right now.
