Hey guys, great thread here.

Hey One Hundred, I saw it asked before but no definitive answer.

Whats the ratio, if any, of coco to perlite used in your mix? Or are you using straight coco with hydroton top and bottom?

Thanks for the great thread man!

Hi anferneybra, I don't use perlite in my mix. I tried it before at a ratio of 20:80; Perlite:Coco. Although I didn't notice any negitives I failed to see any major benefits so I dropped it and everything has been growing just as good if not better. For a 6.5Ltr pot I add 1-2 inches of hydroton to the base and a small layer at the top to halt evaporation as much as I can.

Perlite breaks down over time and turns into all but concrete if not watched regularly for a "bottom" layer of insured drainage as HGO`s usin the lil clay balls for.....

I always used extra coarse/chunky perlite screened and washed free of dust to allow max drainage , while putting that same type layer on the tops to indeed retard evaporation , but.....

Also retarding rootborn insect larvae from proliferating if in fact they were still present after SM-90 rootmass innoculation during pre-charge setup before adding fully rooted cuts to each container.........anyways....

HGO.....Been thinkin boutchas......Hope all`s well in your world Bro.......

Peace.......Freds.....:ying:

how often would you water in 3 gallon pots?
Until you get runoff each time. If you feed low EC, you can't over water coco, and in fact 3+ feeds during flower with runoff each time will help prevent buildups and lockouts. Drip Clean at 1ml per gallon helps as well.

Well i got my setup going for about a week.. Now and im geting what looks like
A cal mag issue. Strain is known to be a heavy feeder so im feeding at 800ppm
Of canna coco a/b with cannazyme and spray feeding the ryzo. I went ahead and
Added some magical hoping to solve the issue.

Ph has always been 5.6 to 6.0 dtw setup.

Guess my ? Is is it common to have to sup cal mag
With canna nutes?
