Enjoyed reading through this thread mate, you're doing good things. Just wondered what extraction and inlet you're running, with a decent powered light I'm just wondering why the temps are that low? (I noticed you said air change is not perfect). As for the clones in clear cups, great way to see root progress, so double them up with a black external vessel, then you get the best of both worlds.

I'm a newbie myself but just want to offer my 2 penneth worth.
Thanks for an interesting read :)

Glad you enjoyed it! :tiphat:

I love the input! New angles to think about!

Are you asking about the air-inlet/outlet?
Or did I missunderstand you?

Well, here we go!
The room where the box is placed is like 2.5x3.5 x1,6m (8x12'x5'5").
The walls are really shitty isolated, and its cold outside so I have a "passive" intake from a even shittier isolated frontroom, and a outlet that works like 5 mins every hour, pushing air into the colder frontroom, and allow the back room to take in new air.
If I had a active intake Id probably never get up to 20C.. there is no heat-buffert from the outside-> inside. :/
I add about 100gr CO2 every second/third day throu open flame, and cut the fan outlet for the next 12 hours to give them some co2-boost... I really dunno if its sufficient since I lost all my school-math to calculate this things... and the half hour I spent on google it gave me a headache, so I left it.. (for now)
If you are a math-teacher I would love to hear the answer.. :D

Thanks for the tip on the external vessel-thingy. Ill give it some thought for sure!
lol, im fast... ! figure... to spraypaint another identical cup would be really easy to keep on the outside... just remove it, check roots, put it back on..
Re-usable for cuts over and over again, until you break them by misstake and have to ductape them to get em working for another 10 grows.

Edit; ps. yeah, ill start flushing, so if its overfeeding its not the end of the world.. these beauties are going down within short.. I guess another couple of days with just water would do them good if they are overfeeder right now thou..

Really neat thread. Great pics and story so far.

Have heard nice things about Euforia. Can you describe her scent?

I had some great friends from Sweden; have not seen them for years.

Best Regards,

Ok I must admit I didn't realise your room was as big as that. All I can say re your "passive" intake etc is that if it works well for you, which it seems to, going on your pictures, then stick with it. You don't need me to tell you that increasing the light wattage would lift the temps (and yield) during the light period, also if you're running CO2 then I believe the plants can cope with a slightly higher temp than they could without. Lower temps depend on the ambient temp which isn't always easy to keep optimal. This is my main issue, the "dark" period. It's really tricky getting the 2 respective temps in scope if the ambient temps are against you. When is your light/dark periods? For eg. I have my lights off during the middle of the day as it is the warmest ambient temp, and my lights on during the evening, as this prevents my light/dark getting too hot/cold.

Depends where you live mate. Keep me posted.

Put it this way, if I owned yours I'd be happy, so you can't be far off. Keep us posted!

I have a 2.4 x 0.6 set up, which is the same as your 1.2x1.2 in terms of M sq. and I run 2 lights (600w), I have no choice really due to the long and narrow size I have. If I had what you have id try a single 1000w light, providing I could keep temps okay, & from your stats I think itd be very do-able.

For the record, if anyone more qualified than me thinks I'm off the mark please correct me.

@mg, im glad you have something out of this thread :)

@R.Fortune, Im sorry you havnt seen ure swedish friends for quite some time. We can be real nice from time to time. Hehe!
I'll isolate a Euforia-bud next time I visit and smell it like a dog smell for a piece of sausage, to give a really detailed description!
Hope youll catch up with those swe-mates someday!

@jackjayUK;okay... Where to start... Hehe!
I feel like a friggin Yeti when telling you this..
The outdoor temp drops occasionally to -30C here from late dec - late feb.. And with my shitty spot I cant do much but say "oooookay, this sux".
I have a electricity-issue too (like i didnt have enough issues alteady...LOL)
The wireing to the spot is a 3x1,5mm2 for over 150 meters.
If I load the wire with more then 1000w i get a volt-droppage, and im afraid this effect the ballast (well, and the rest of the stuff in there..)
Right now im at 850w with hps, le-veg ang fans/indoor lights.
I dont dare to add that extra 400w on a hps-upgrade..
I dont have any ground-wire, so I could use one more phase, but I dont know if thats possible concidering how the wireing was done before I sorted this out..

LOL, i really feel like a ghetto-yeti when I look at my own thread... :p

Btw, you should have a look at Marlos vert-scrog with that narrow space.. (The W.O.W- thread)

Well.. When this scrog is done Ill rebuild the growroom to 2 rooms 600w each, and blow the air frim the onroom to the off-room all the time to keep better temps.

I dunno what will happen to the summer.. Ill probably get heat-issues then, but uts solvable with active intakes i figure.

Stay safe! :)
Fem~

Bravo! I like this thread, your attitude and the grow. I'll be tuning in and really like the perspective you give us into your adventure.

I'm pretty sure you have most of everything figured out/dialed in being at the end of your grow, so I'll be chillin' for those trimmed colas

The yellowing tips on the previous page was indeed an indication of over fertilising.

Prolly in combination with too much heat/low humidity from the lamps, or a temporary drought at roots level.

I felt a bit sorry for ya that at first noone responded to your thread even though I was chimed in to see what you are up to. I'm glad to see ppl are joining in now.

I'm much looking out for your outdoor adventures soon to come too mate. I notice you got plenty of ambiton & entiousme to make things work.

Catch ya laters neighbour. :)

Heya!
Aye, Ive just been sniffin' that lady a good 10 minutes or so..
I find her to have a relative weak smell to be CB. The smelly one in that box is for sure the other ladies. :)

I would describe her mainscent as citrus-ish, with hints of bitter/musk and quite alot of honey.. and there is some exotic fruit-scent in there too.. something really subtle of something like a mix of papaya and the peel of mango~. Its really hard to nail it closer then that.
I can give it another try when the cure is complete... lets find out what she brings forth then.. ;)
Anyways; Its like having a small rainbow up your nose! :dance013:

@JJ UK, Yeah, im doing my best, and Ill try to keep it up! Its closing in...

@LC, Thats just what I like to hear.. Love to entertain in my own kind of way, and seems like you among others appreatiate it! <3 a good audience!

@my neighbour, Terve!
Thanks for the nute-burn input. I concider that case closed.
Tho, Its for sure not cus of low RH/to hot. Im between 26-15C, and the RH 55-85%.
Guess a stupid friggin' burn is what it is..

Dont feel sorry for my sake... Instead be happy that we NOW have a party going on! :comfort:

ye, that outdoor-adventure will be something special... Ive got it planned to about 90%.. And I have about 20-25 hours preparations in the forrest, and another 5 with the plants/pre-veg chamber.. Lets see if I keep it, or if its (as usual) will explode in my face and be like 100 hours!

Ive just flushed the girls, point of no return! The sissors will have to work within 10 days!
And I ripped another 2/6 of the leafs (total of 50% ripped..)
Really nothing to show this time. Could upload some more budshots.. but this thread already have plenty of that kind!

soooo..

They will come down on Tuesday. they have their last "day" now, and stand in darkness about 36 hours prior to chop-chop.

Gave them their last watering just now.. and Ive removed the heating-device since 5 days, to see if I can get some colourchange om them.

I expected them to get a bit yellow-ish, but so far its like nothing going on.. On the other hand they have like no leafs left, and I guess there is some nutes in the soil even after flushing.
The waterings I gave them now and last time was like 50% rinceoff, to try and force out any remaining nutes. I dunno.. maybe they dont get that yellow when stripping all leafs..

Here is the last pics, for sure, before harvest pics!
Note that there is like no yellow stuff at all in there (yeah, might be hard enough to see anything yellow at that pic just under HPS. hehe..

A closeup on Princess.
She really look tasty to me!

Here is some WWxTU buds

picture.php

Followed by a Euforia-bud!
I accidently broke a larf-popcorn that I put on the ballast to quick-dry. The taste is not that bad.. A bit candytasting.. Gives a lil irritate in the throat, but I guess that all go away with a proper dry and some weeks curing.

picture.php

Now I could use some piece of knowledge.. Whats up with my clones?

I dont get this re-veg-thingy.
They rooted
They started growing
Then they started getting funny, curled, strange 1-finger leafs.
Now its like a finger-army in there.
I know they go backwards with the fingers/leafs after bloom-reveg, but I figure they grew so much before counting down.
Hmmm!
I would appreatiate a "its all normal, just hang in there"-answer.. hehe..

And; Should I remove the lowest part of the growth? (or use them in the vert-scrog also?)
I dunno if its stupid, and they only make those brances into crap.. Thoughts to share with a new lil' one?
Note the backside of the top. Its just like two bent fingers on those one-finger-leaf.. ??

Good evening!
Stay safe!

Gotto rip em out and start all over.

Is not going to be much with those.

Sorry man Femora for spoiling your good hopes. It's guys like me that just can't refrain from realism and tell it as it is.

Man n' man.. I dunno about that.;p

Anyways, now im utterly confused..
I have no clue how to progress from this point.. I could, and will, pop some more beans within short.. But those were supposed to grow up meanwhile these cuts were to flower.. And lead me throu the minefield of recirc-coco-dripper-vert-scrog..

I could speed the veg up of new growth, but I rather have some more info on why those ladies are lost before I make something stupid..
Mind to explain why they are goners, offthehook?

Cuzz in my early 'cloning days' when I had 1-leafers like that, they would give a very crappy harvest after deciding keeping em around anyways.

I only had them in the beginning though.

Doing all the cloning procedures right is a learning process.

If you're going to continue to veg those now for a very long time, then they will start making those 1-fingered leafes again when they are in bloom.

Lousy harvest, that's all. Better start a new so yu're not going to waste time on this one.

When I judge by the colour of the 1-leafers, my guess is that you planted them out in too rich soil.

Soo... any idea what I did wrong when I cloned them? I took them like 15-18 days into flowering, so I expected something like this, but not this extreme..

Ill need like a month to veg the new ladies for the vert-setup since I atm only have a 200w CFL to veg under.. so it will take forever anyways to get started. Might as well learn something from those 1fingers I guess..
If I not use the 600w hps for veg ofc.. hmm.. but then again... I cant use the 600w to veg 18, and use the 5-6 fresh clones to vert in a 12/12.. To overload the powerline would be a failure bigger then anything else..
hmm-di-dumm-dumm.. I have to reconcider this for a day or two..

More input, anyone?

If you decide to keep, then all ya can do is keep into veg for as long as possible.
It's prolly best to cut out the upper stem with the one leafers already now, but continue to veg with the under growth only.

As to why... All energy would otherwise go in the wrong retarded main cola whereas the lower branches would still have a chance to at least produce something.

:biglaugh:

I have some reveg clones that look just like that if you want some pics... It's fine. Perfectly normal. Leave it grow and the leaves will return to normal. During reveg growth, recessive traits that might not otherwise display themselves may become apparent.
