Look like some nice lil bushes man!! When do they go into 12/12??

NOTE: brown roots can mean they are dying, possibly due to a warm reservoir??

:respect: SL

I'll flip them to 12/12 as soon as my screen is filled to about 60% capacity.

I think the brown is nute stain when I accidently spilled some AN B52 directly on them two weeks ago. I have a chiller keeping the water in the res to 68F and it hasn't moved from that temperature in 29 days so it's doubtful it's rot.

added 2 gal. of fresh RO water today, adjusted pH from 6.3 to 5.8 (hadn't touched pH in almost two weeks, it was very stable). I added more Voodoo Juice (myco) + CarboLoad to feed them, did not add any nutes. PPM at about 800 (EC 1.6).

I've been supercropping them like mad with good results. Yesterday I fimmed many branches as well.

I've placed the screen 1 foot above the reservoir. I have three feet of space above the screen for the plants to grow, so if my plants were really to triple in size during the flower stretch (unlikely, but it's not impossible since kali mist is mostly sativa) I will have the vertical room to handle it.

I should receive the new bigger chiller this week. When I do I'll add the second SS400.

Day 33
pH: 6.0
PPM: 830
ResT: 68.81F
AmbT: 84.4F
rH: 64%

Plant 1 is almost touching the screen...my guess is another week and we're starting to fill the screen. She's turning into a nice lil bush. I hope I can fill the screen without ending up with a gigantic forest of mess.

Day 34

Plant #2 has almost caught up with plant #1 in growth.

day34c.jpg

Successful fimming?

day34d.jpg

Early nute burn (around day 10-13) that was never resolved. This is the only leaf on the plant that is significantly damaged, so I presume this is not a problem for the future health of the plant.

day34e.jpg

The stalk has grown to be strong. You can see the little leaf on the right that is wilting? The ones I removed yesterday were identical to that, but more degraded in appearance or in one case, completely dry and dead.

day34f.jpg

This is what happens when you do not premix your myco powder in a jug before putting it in your res. I just dumped a few tablespoons worth in the res... made a mess. Not sure if I should wash it off. It certainly didn't hurt the plant, if anything it helped boost growth.

Watching a even closer now... I was just gifted 3 Kali Mist seeds from a collective I go to. The plant had hermied as a result of a light leak, but comes from a mother that isn't normally hermie prone.

So yea show me what these beans can do! I'll be growin right behind ya!

Screen is filled to 30%, I expect to flip to 12/12 within a week. Is 7 weeks of vegging from seed long? Sure felt like it.

It's worse when I know I have about 90 days of flower ahead of me. I didn't about flowering time at all when picking my strain. For my first grow, it sure is a nice test of patience. And to think some local strains flower in 42 days... lol

Hopefully the results will be worth all this wait :)

Hi m8,

lovely lookin ladies u got there m8.

Them pics are stunning, and them plants look like they enjoying that light. I hear ya on the vegging from seed. Im on day 32, and im itching to flip em...lol

Im tagging along ....this is gonna be good..

Day 45

Vegging from seed takes forever!!! At least next time I'll be working from clones.

Girls are healthy. Had pH issues last week because of an abusive use of myco powder (100% my fault) but a res change (and cleaning) fixed the issue.

They're filling up the screen nicely.

Very nice, excellent photography. I'm interested in the Kali, but they sure are expensive to order. Looking forward to the finished product and especially the smoke report.

Tbh I look forward to it as well because I almost regretted my choice. For my first grow anyway, I should have went with something that flowers a little quicker. But since I'm a medical user (I have UC, a type of IBD) I vaporize multiple times a day and cannot be stoned while I work. All the smoke reports about Kali reported an "energizing" high, which is something I would like.

If you consider the high price of seeds and the ridiculously long flowering time, I am praying (and I'm an atheist!) the results are worth all this time and effort :smokeit:

They will be worth it, if they're anything like the Kali I smoked in Amsterdam. In the future, you may also want to consider Female Seeds' Grapefruit. Two of the phenos I had had a nice, clear, motivational up high (one a bit trippier than the other) and they flower much faster (about 55 days). Not quite as magical (or strong) as the Kali, but a tasty, quick, and cheap pick-me-up.

That said, the femmed Kalis are the next thing on my list, and will also be under LEDs - hence my particular interest in this thread.
