Romulan these days ... any good?

im not sure if it was reefs but i tried the grape romulan a few times on the island and hated it, the sweet peppery flavor is a turn off for me.

the grape romulan from norcal isnt sweet and peppery at all...

its more welchs grapey

i wonder if its two seperate cut both tagged with the same moniker
e.g Candy Kush -being another name used on the Loompa HB, as well as being the name of the #12 selection found next to the #7 bombthreat...

i wonder if the two grape romulans are two totally different cuts...

i recently got 20 romulan seeds in a trade the person told me they were Federations Romulan
is there a good chance that is not truthful? If it is true how old would it make those beans?

Federation Romulan... I may be speaking out of place being as I don't know exactly when they stopped operating, but I remember the days of Federation being strong pre 2004. From a post here in IC from Rez it looks like Federations last bunch of seeds went bye bye some time around 2009 so that would make their seeds a minimum of 4 years old now... but if its stock from when they were a premium company then they might be 8-12 years old

I took a vacation to Canada late 2008. I picked up a few packs of seeds during that trip, one of those packs was Federation's Romulan. The vendor commented that these were among the last batch of Romulan(as it turns out I guess Fed stopped producing shortly thereafter) that he would be receiving. I cannot speak to the quality, I have not popped them yet.

So our beans are probably +/- 5 years old.
