If you're asking about surrounding areas, you can use the E20 for that, too. I wouldn't, but it would work. You can also use rubbing alcohol and the peroxide, I don't know how effective bleach is on the spores, but also Physan 20 would be effective here.
sounds good, clean well, spray again, rinse, repeat.
I have to agree with Burning Tree, I think you could have gone full strength with the peroxide, easily.
Im going to redo the room, this time with straight 3% peroxide. Is the physan 20 safe to use in a bedroom closet grow? It will be sprayed on carpet where I will be sitting on, and things I will be touching with my bare hands. Its cheap and I think I'm going to order a bottle. It does say its environmentally safe.
Yep some would say safer than bleach. Even safe to use on the plants as well. Take a look at there website. I noticed they changed their instructions and added this peculiar sentence at the end of the hydroponics section:
Physan 20 as a Foliar Spray for Pathogen Control
Physan 20 can be applied to plants as a foliar spray to control pathogens. However, it is NOT an insecticide and will not kill aphids, mites, scale, or pests of this sort. Physan 20 leaves no harmful residue if foliage is dried and smoked.
So how does this sound. When my grow is done, I wash and spray with water/h2o2 as much as I can in the room. This includes walls, carpets, and whatever I can. Then Ill bomb the room with a fungicide one day. Then turn my exhaust off and let the temps in my room get 100 degrees for another day. After that just use some kind of spray and keep my grow room environment in check (temps, humidity, air circulation) to prevent another outbreak?
isnt high temps a bad thing? wouldnt u wana lower temps ? if anything?
Thanks I have some of that sitting in my cabinet. No mixing of water just straight iso alcohol?
For this application, I would not add water. I would use it straight. This method was recommended to me by a surgeon last year post-op for cleaning up some of the medical devices I had to use for bathing and such. I didn't want to have to have that surgery again, so I was hyperfocused on infection control.
