Airpots RTA System Grow.

Great grow, I have just ordered the same system :)

I know you had the problem with the brain unit, but overall did you rate the RTA dripper system?

Any other problems or comments?

I noticed you had the 10L pots, what light and final weight did you pull?

Thanks,

Hey bigstevo,

I like the RTA system but its a lot better used with sms nutramatic seconds timer to drip feed the plants more regularly with lights on, this also will improve the results. Like you said the brain bucket caused me problems but I gravity fed the whole system to just run straight to waste bypassing the brain side.

Very easy to achieve great results with this system.

I cannot remember the final haul from the system now but I know I could have done better if I had more headroom as the pots on their stands take up a lot of head room and if your in a loft its all very crucial. I suffered with light burn but still did well.

The light I used over the 6 plants was a 1000 watt adjusta ballast, so ran at 400 and 600 veg and 1000 in flower and 1100 in late flower in a Magnum XXXL Aircooled shade.

Cheers and good luck with your grow mate, any questions just ask :)

Thanks Speedemon,

I was looking at those nutrimatic timers today as it happens, do you feed to run off with those timers? are you still in the 10L pots? how many seconds do you have the timers on for?

Sorry for all the questions, but really keen to get the system nailed from the off.

So you're not using the RTA system anymore, Speedy? Just wondering if you'd recommend it (minus the brain bucket and draining direct by gravity)?

Great thread mate looking to run airpot in my wilma system next run

They are great systems mate. Thanks for the kind words.

great grow like the system love airpots myself.......

Hey VWG60 Glad you stopped by and thanks for the compliment. Yeah the airpots are a great pot and produce great yields.

Hey Harry mate, Nope not using anymore due to 8' x 4' compost heap reaching maximum overload, so needed to look a reducing waste. I know somebody might come on here now and tell me how many different ways you can reuse coco, but I just cannot be bothered with it.

I would highly recommend this system to anybody who can ether reuse or dispose of the waste without suspicion.

Peace :tiphat::ying:

Yep, it's a fucker dumping all that coco.

I've reused it a few times, sometimes I just cut out the rootball and stuck another plant in the hole. Girls stretched waaay to much that way.
Other times I dumped the pots of used coco into a big dust bin with holes in the bottom and left a hose running into it all day. The coco worked beter but it was a pain to do it and easier just to dump and buy new stuff.

I'm wondering if giving pots a good flush in situ, leaving drippers on for a few hours would leave the medium better for re use.

I'm well sold on the air pots though.
