Welcome to my jungle...

Hahaha, how do you mean this dude? If you mean my growroom is a bit disorganized i am currently working on it, that's why it does look like that! Lack of funds does not allow me to make it the way i want for now. Shit, i am thinking about selling a watch of mine to get some stuff as quickly as i can.

Its not money bro. Its grow room safety. It looks like your house where you live and sleep so its even more important that everything is tip top.

I mean it looks like at any time you go near a plant you could trip on something, break an ankle and fall. On your way down you knock a bulb and it smashes catching fire. While trying to escape to get tangled in that mountain of shit and die of dank smoke inhalation.

I hope it doesn't sound like im giving you a hard time its just i would be a bad person if i saw a bro in trouble and said nothing to help him.

My advice... Take everything out and start again. Sell the watch and buy a couple smoke alarms & extinguishers.

Your pot looks good even grown in that mess. I can only imagine how good it will be when your organized and doing shit at your full potential.

Those buds were quite big, do you have any idea what the plants weighed? I just continued reading through this post after seeing that everything was so disorganised and i wanted to see what you would get from it and it looks pretty good :)

You should really REALLY get organised as that doesent look very solid in the long run, do you live in an apartment or a house by the way?

im subscribed to this thread! :) Peace

Edit: I just read the post over me and i just imagined someone very stoned, liying tangled in plants and theres fire + pot smoke everywhere from the plants, talk about getting high!

It was 5 months ago that the 2nd reply to your thread from fukndenny said how messy it was.

I can tell its not just your grow room but you whole life that is chaos.

Bro you really gota man up and face this. Its your responsibility to sort your whole life out. No one is going to do it for you.

The first step should be to just stand in the grow room and look around at the chaos. Imagine how great it could be. You already have ALL the tools right there at your disposal to make it great.

Second step should be to remove EVERYTHING flammable and all the tip hazards from the grow area. A mattress in a grow room? Hell fnk no bro! You seen how fast one of them fckers go up? I can tell you from personal experience when the fucker is on fire and huge flames are jumping at you, your on auto pilot while you pull the ring on the extinguisher with all your might your gona wish you had sorted all this shit out earlier.

I cant tell you the rest bro. You have this site. You have vids online not for just building a grow room but for every aspect of life. You really do have the world at your finger tips.

Fix your grow area and them when you have proved to yourself you are capable of doing that apply the same principals to your life. It will happen in the same order. Look, make a plan, clear shit out, repeat as necessary.

The 6 p's bro. Live by them. Prior preparation prevents piss poor performance.

I know if you really want it you could have an awesome grow room and maybe an awesome life too. Hope to see you doing well in the future.

Hey, thank you very much for all the posts :). Its true that my growroom is very disorganized, basically i have changed 3 or 4 setups during those months. I live in an apartment, so its risky. The mat you saw is soundproofing foam, i am using it to dampen the sound of the 6" exhaust fans i have. Plants weighed at about half a lb each of them.

You are right, i am gonna set it up the right way today. I am going to buy another shelf to make proper corners for my growroom (if you know what i mean). I also bought mylar, another 600w and another 6" exhaust fan. I am going jogging to relax, smoke a joint up a hill i have here nearby and then i am getting to work as hard as i can to make it proper. Pics are going to follow after i am done.

That's the shelf i am talking about. Also i am going to buy a fire extinguisher as soon as i can.

Thats great news dude. It wont all happen at once. Every day your going to have to remind yourself of your goal refocus and get it done bit by bit.

Fire extinguisher... That's a number 1 priority if i have ever seen one. Get 2 even

:tiphat:

Why do you keep buying more lights when you dont have temperatures under control? You already have over 1k wattage in a growtent :p?

Will be interesting to see what you mean with the shelf, cant quite picture what you mean in my head :)

Of course my friend not everything is going to happen at once, at least not everything considering my life. But i believe i could set up my growroom the right way with some hours of work. And i am going to tape this fking mylar right for once. You will have news from me soon ;), i promise it will look much better after i am done.

I have temps under control bro, a little bit on the hot side (about 82F), but they are not excessive. We are in the middle of winter here, so intake air is very cool. Now i have 2100 watts by 5 bulbs. And i have 5 exhaust fans, 2x6",2x5",1x4", more than enough if i set up my ventilation right. The wooden shelf could be used as a "corner" for my growroom, i have seen a thread in here where a dude used 4 wooden shelves, put mylar all around and had a very cheap and sturdy growroom. Hope you get the meaning :).

Its only when your an old man like me that you realize all those colloquialisms you hear mean something. You know...

Think twice, cut once.
Look before you leap.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Get baked on the hill, relax and take your time to come up with the perfect plan.

I changed my growroom as i had told you. I made it lightproof, also tried to make it as "air-tight" as i could. I also changed ventilation pattern, made my exhaust fans lead to my bedroom window. Added another 600w as well and a 370 CFM exhaust fan that i am using as active intake until i can get its carbon filter.

Tomorrow i may start some seedlings from bagseeds and some seeds from my AG that had hermied, something like an experiment. Thinking about starting them straight into my organic soil just for the fan of it. I also have a soil for seedlings (Biobizz Light Mix) just in case. Generally speaking i made it sturdier, although it can not be perfectly pictured. I am gonna take more photos tomorrow, bye :)

Hello, i havent updated for a while. I made a tidier growtent, started from scratch many times, changed many setups upon figuring out what suited me best. I have 3 big plants left and when i say big i mean BIG, imagine they became rootbound in their 7 gallon pots. They were tortured by setting up my growtent, lost some leaves on the way.

I am trying to figure out how to setup my lights for the most efficient way of illuminating my babies. I have 6x600w HPS for now and 1x400w HPS. They way i see it i wanna buy another 600w HPS and have lights and plants like this:

x o x
o x o
x x(this one will be under o, don't know why it does not let me picture it properly).

where x are bulbs and o are plants.

These 5 bulbs will be put vertically. The one in the centre will remain lit all 12 hours, the other 4 will be divided in pairs of 2, pair #1 lit for 6 hours, pair #2 lit for the other 6. And with the other 3 600w, they will be placed horizontally with reflectors, 1 above each of those biggies. What do you think, could you provide me with a better way on illuminating them?

I would like to ask a question and if you could answer it i would be thankful. I am planning on buying a portable air condition 9.000 btu (my growing space is 9x8x7). In the description it says: 2.6 kw Olympia Splendid Friddo air condition energy class A, inverter. And in the cooling consupmtion it says:760 watts. How many watts would it use, 760 watts or 2.6 kw?

Now i am using 6 exhaust fans. I have 1 inline fan that i am not using. And planning on buying 1 more or give some more money and buy the portable air condition unit. If i use 8 inline fans, electrical consumption will be 680 watts. I suppose i would not need so many exhaust fans if i used a portable air condition unit. What do you think, should i buy the air condition or 1 more inline fan and advance with this plan? Thanks for any inputs.

Hellow fellow stoners! Time for an update! Plants got into their first day of 12/12 today! Each one is about 4x4x5 feet, i went them a bit too far! Of course they stretched much since i have already mentioned, they were without proper light for a month or so since i was constantly fixing things. Only a cfl was used most of these days to not trigger flowering.

Before i proceed a few words about my setup. My space is ~10x10 feet. Basically i lined with mylar most of my bedroom including my window. Intake is passive through the window. I am using 8 bulbs (7x600w, 1x400). For exhaust i am using 3x400 CFM exhaust fans and 1x200 CFM.

As i said i have 8 bulbs at my disposal. 5 of them have been put vertically around the plants like this:

x o x
x o (an error occurs when i am trying to picture this properly, x is in the center here, o in the right)
x o x

where x are bulbs and o are plants. Under each vertical bulb i have an oscilating fan, it looks something like this:

IMG_1134_zpsbe769ec7.jpg

So, 3 bulbs are remaining which have been put horizontally in cooltubes, each cooltube being ventilated with a 175 CFM exhaust fan.

All this electrical power would be too much for my house, so i did something. 4 bulbs are lit for 6 hours and the other 4 for the remaining 6 hours. So i have 4600 watts of light, using 2400 watts for 6 hours and 2200 watts for the other 6. Temps are in the 75-80 F range with lights on for now.

I am planning on adding some bat guano or something like this as topdressing for soil now that the plants are entering flowering. Hope all this strange schedule with light did not mess them up. Still having to buy 2x6" carbon filters, i will go with odor-sok due to lack of money.

And the babies:

Any questions, i would be glad to hear them. Sorry if i did not explain something well.:tiphat:
