All this talk of og; never tried it; I don't think there is any around here.
Plus where I live people aren't very sophisticated about pot; they don't talk about specific strains; it's just "hydro" which doesn't necessarily mean hydroponically grown, mostly it's just shorthand for dutch genetics. And then there's "bush" which means your equivalent to Mexican brick weed.
After all this talk on here about og I have to grow some; hopefully what I can get from seed on the Boo will be similar to the cuttings you folks are growing.

Strains are hyped up by rappers. OG and GSC is very popular in Cali because of these rappers talking about Kush, Sour and GSC. Like 2-3 years ago it was all about Purp. Many different variations. Grape Ape, Grand daddy, Purple Urkle etc. There will be another HOT new strain w/ tons of hype behind it. Shit if 15-20 growers on here all got on board to hype up a new strain it could be done in less than a month. Most people dont know what they like, they have to wait for a celebrity or everyone else to tell them what they like or what is popular.

Ive smoked and grown the Tora, my was a heavy X18 leaner and pure gingerale diesel. Euphoric head, med body relief, super flavor and bag appeal. Doesn't sound crazy for a flame cut to make the rounds. Maybe not good enough for cali, but for those with no access to kushy types, it works.

^That is exactly what i am trying to do. I want to make lime-warp the next fad strain. the bag appeal is so high it should be easy. I just dont have enough people growing her yet because she is still really new. I have not passed her on to a club yet. been passing her around to all my friends first.

Bluedream and greencrack still fly for me...maybe not on the wholesale level on packs,once 28 now 25 but Breakin it down $200 oz all day!!!most patients prefer the high over OG...but one thing I do notice is all the street cats want OG,cherry pie Everytime ...the squares like the gc and BD cause its a brighter green and a functional high......

Sometimes hype machines aren't machines. Properly present with a bud in a little jar and don't tell people what the strain is. If it is truly distinctive fire the people will straight up make up their own name for it, and word of mouth happens automatically and spreads on its own. Then they are asking around for it by the spontaneous alias, feels good when you make it a priority to put out that kind of quality and you hear an echo from the wilderness. I have witnessed this viral effect with Island Sweet Skunk, got it to taste so good that you would not get cotton mouth because your mouth was drooling from the flavor.. I won't say what people started calling it on the small chance someone recognizes it.. fuckin internet, ya never know.

marc emery worked the strain in the feds with pollen and cuttings smuggled in to visitation by willie nelson. someone should write him a letter in yazoo and tell him to back the story. be sure to include a $20 money order for commissary.

didn't feel good doing it, but i had to call it something, so i picked a name i was SURE wasn't already a strain so as not to disrespect anyone's work.

tonight i was looking at the website for a local delivery service i've started working with recently. guess what? there's the name of that strain. not even remotely close to mine.
