Looking interesting, just a suggestion now you've flipped, a small desktop fan blowing a gentle breeze over em will strengthen up the stems, help with humidity and help them grow bigger buds.

Not critising, love to see how adaptable cannabis is.......good one.

Cheers

Hey guys, I hope everyone had a great new year!

Plants growing along and looking great!

Here we are almost at week 3 from seed popped. Week 1 flower!

Them 2 HFH Danish Cheese's that had a rough start are pulling back and looking good! The other one that had a good start is starting to stink a lot too and looking great!

CJxSB's are a beast, best and biggest looking plants! Pretty stinky too!
The biggest CJxSB, if its a male, will be a daddy soon! :)
picture.php

The 2 HFH Brown Super 007 that are potted together are a bit slower but coming along too!

Here are some pics, I'll try to snap some individual pictures soon!

The stretch should start anytime soon, the CFL's been keeping close internodes tho! If they get too out of control I plan on LST'in them in there!

Cheerz everyone!

Here are the some better shots!

CJxSB#1, looks like a nice 50/50 pheno
picture.php

CJxSB#2, definitely the most SB dominant of the bunch
picture.php

CJxSB#3, looks more Thai dominant pheno, thats my guess at least!
picture.php

CJxSB#4, this is the stinky one, my favorite one of the bunch

What are you planning for ventilation/air movement, and lighting?
You planning on leaving it as is?
How many square feet do you have in the cab and how much height?

I'm very interested in what you can Really 'get away' with. After all it IS a weed. lol

I'm playing with T5s myself, as I don't have a lot of space to work with YET. Here we have a 'plant count' limit of 3 per person in bloom and 3 not in bloom.

Hey 2LegalCo,

I got 3 24w CFL's going for light. Nothing ATM for ventilation, I ordered a PC fan that I will be hooking it up in a few days. The cab is not air tight, there is a lot of gaps in the corners. The CFL's barelly put any heat, so the cab doesnt get too hot, maybe 25C when they are on.

The cab is actually under a kitchen sink cabinet. There is a bunch of other stuff in on corner, and I use the deep corner of it. The total cab is prolly 1.5m deep, 1m wide and about 1.5m high... Not exactly sure, but thats a rough estimate.

The plant's dont really seem to mind the lack of ventilation so far IMO, but I'm sure a fan in there can only help!

Thanks for checking in bro!
Best of luck on your setup! If you got any questions, i'll be glad to try to answer! :)

:thank you:
Peace BW!

I have done a few micro grows myself. First i gotta give ya mad props for the design and idea. Now let's get down to business. There is not nearly enough intense light to make any kind of quality of flowers, you prolly have 4500 lumens at most. I had a miro with a 42 watt ballasted fixture cfl, two of the 65 watt regular cfl's and two 4' t5's, it wasn't enough. The plants survive and flower, but have barely enough energy to finish seeds on time. In another micro grow i had 65 watt cfl and two 2' t5's and that wasn't enough light. So for me the purpose of the box was to sex plants, it works good. My big box , the one described in the beginning of the post, is used to make seeds, i just cleaned 4 plants that finished out around 12" high, and i prolly got 1000 seeds, i love it. Anyway's just my two cent's. Rock it man things look good. To end a quote from moonshine " You can never have too many lights"

Hey Frankenstein2, Thanks for the input bro!

I have experience with CFL's grows, as well as T5HO. And I've grown excellent bud with it! It might not seem like much light, but as long as you are able to keep the plant's a few inches from these lights they grown some nice buds! More than a few inches you get lengthy skinny plants, but at 2" away they have a nice intensity to it!

Here is a picture of some bud grown using 2 40W CFL.

Thanks for checking my grown out tho! :) Hopefully I can prove you wrong by the end of it!

That bud looks awesome, looks like you can do your thing with them cfl's, now your making me wanna try a seedless run in my big box lol, and change the way i have it set up, thanks for the inspiration. I'm kinda old fashioned and love my hps's. But little experiment's like these are what keep my wheels turning.

Definitely man! CFL's are great if you only need a bit of smoke here and there, of course, you can't compare the yields to HPS lights, since they take a lot more energy. The thing with CFL's is you need to train your plant the right way, such as SCROG and LST, in order to get good light distribution. They are also a lot easier to control your environment, they put way less heat than a HPS!

After a few inches away CFL's are pretty useless, i gotta admit, and will lose most of the lumens before it reaches the plant, but within an inch or two again, you can grow some great smoke!

Also course, if you have the setup, the space and the money to invest, go with an HPS, but if otherwise, you can still grow great herbs! :)

Hope that helps! Check out a few of the CFL/T5 threads there is, you can see some great success from other members!

That being said, I think Vertical CFL's are the way to go, we'll see in a month or two for sure! I bet a few plants around a big 100W cfl would be a great experiment. Especially with a Vertical Scrog!

Take care!
Peace!:tiphat:

Just a quick photo update on my grow! Both the Brown Super 07 are males, just seen the 2nd male preflowers of the 2nd one, not sure what to do with them yet, if I'll use them to pollination or just eat them =)

All other plants look great, I'm waiting to see some females to repot them on a little more soil, in order to get fatter nugs! Hopefully soon enough!

The CJxSB are looking great, the more sativa one is a bit behind the others, but coming along nicely!

I think I over fertilized some of them therfore you can see the claw leaves on some of them, so I've been taking a bit easier on the nutes!

Anyways, I hope y'all are enjoying the show! :)

Peace!

Here is the previous plant from the nugshot before, it was grown using 2x42w CFL's. It was grown on organic soil and was such a great smoke! Got to enjoy it on 4/20 a few years ago :)

nice man, those are some hefty buds for CFLs. have you concluded that a few plants in big containers is better than lots of little plants in smaller containers?

My plan is to once I see the sex on them to repot them to a bigger container... I've been able to identify some males so far, but haven't been able to confirm them girls yet, so I'll prolly repot them in a few days once I can for sure tell the sex!

I'll try to snap some pics later when lights come on!

Thanks for checking in guys!

Just checked the girls, they looking great! Couldn't find the camera, but ill ask my girl later so I can snap some pics!

I think 2 of the CJxSB's are males for sure. The big buffier stinkiest one is a male, I'll be using to polinate some of the girls, it showed great vigor since day 1 and has some fat ass stems to it, and nice branching with big fat indica leafs. The more sativa dominant one of the bunch is also a male, showed sex a few days ago. It's a big lengthier, lighter green color and a little slower vegger, not sure if it will make the selection to pollinate the girls.

The other 2 CJxSB are looking to be some nice ladies :) Definitely more indica looking as well.

The Danish Cheese that is on a big container is a beast, looks like it's a girl and I see some (CJxSB)xDC in the future, if things go as expected. She's a real stinker one and probably the more vigorous quicker growing of them all.

The other 2 Danish Cheese's looking good too. I Need to re-pot them to a bigger container, so they can grow a bit bigger. I can't tell the sex yet but if I had to guess, its looking more like girls than boys!

In a few days they will be putting flowers out. The stretch has began a few days ago and I might start doing some bending and training in the near future!

Hopefully I'll have some pics up for y'all in a day or two!

Peace guys!
:thank you:
