Thanks for weighing in with ya'lls opinions. It's always good to hear info from people certainly more knowledgeable than myself.

Temps are pretty steady, they usually stay in the low 60's with lights off and occasionally dip down to the high 50's when it's really cold out. Highs are in the low to mid 70's. I try to keep the bulb as close as I can by doing the "back of the hand test". Some of the flowers are starting to fall over themselves closer to the light now so I've had to start staking them up. Another lesson learned, put up the trellis netting when stretch is almost done and keep the shoots under the trellis more. They have grown out too much and aren't getting nearly the right amount of support.

This is again why I don't monocrop. I would rather have 4 or so flavors that I know well enough then just one. So if stuff like this happens it's not the end of the world. I pulled the alaskan ice and it's going to get the same treatment as the grapefruit. Not the end of the world, I threw a triple diesel in where the AI was and the world keeps on turning. Triple diesel I've ran before so I know what to expect and I know it won't just arbitrarily spit nanners. I guess that these two strains are the more finicky end of the spectrum and I won't run these particular cuts again. Just one great big slowly evolving research project. Still have my fingers crossed that the ones I've ran before don't do something similar - Big Bud Blueberry, Headband, and now triple diesel.

*Edit* Forgot to mention, just ordered another bulb and light socket to use with my other ballast! Shits gonna be rockin'

some of the strains I have throw sacs when they start to ripen. maybe the last 2 weeks.
never seen pollen or a sac that opened from this type. only time I've seen a viable male
flower on a female was a time when a bare bulb burned a plant and it spit a little pollen on itself.

Day 51 - I fed them with the last watering which was 4 days ago (day 47). Pretty sure that I'm going to feed them again one last time. I was checking trichomes and most were clear/cloudy. Only saw a few ambers starting to pop up.

:tiphat: thanks ya'll

Don't know about a P though, haha. Maybe might have stood a better chance withought the alaskan ice and grapefruit herming. On that note though, the Blackberry Bubba Kush and Triple Diesel that took their place are doing really well and definitely stretching. BBK might be slowing down at this point just need to check the dates.

Keep sticking your heads in though, I try to update at least once a week.....except for this past week, haha.

*edit* Anybody know anything about Jedi Kush?

Been awhile again. I don't really keep track of the flower date until I get around to throwing together an update. Just so happens that today is day 59 of flower for the girls that have been there since the very start of 12/12. Got another socket and bulb and finally got around to putting it up. Potted up some girls that were getting waayyyyyy too tall for what I wanted but what are you gonna do? The answer this time is to see what the defoliation thingy is all really about. You'll notice in the pictures that I lolipopped the shit out of the ISS especially and the other ones to a lesser extent. I know that I went over the top but I was hoping to control some vertical stretch by doing this. I pinched some tops as well (pinching stem not topping). Fresh females on the scene are Purple Flo, Templar, ISS, Headband, Cheesehead, and Triple Diesel. I know I went heavy with the leaf chopping but I wasn't too concerned with these and wanted to see how the structure unfolded. Enough jabbering on, pics or it didn't happen.

Thanks for stopping in ya'll, props to JBonez and DHF for the inspiration to chop leaves off. There are certainly others buy you guys are the first to come to mind. I have been steadily pulling fans of the big girls too. If anybody has any info or feedback I'm all ears, ya'll know the drill.

My little science experiments, (the ones with the super hacked fan leaves) are already bouncing back no problem. I gave them an ACT right after they had been stripped and potted up and I'm sure that has been helping them get over the extreme shock. Everything in there is going along just fine. I keep removing fans at a nice steady pace on the girls that are 2-3 weeks in to try to keep them opened up. Temps with both the 600s in there are getting a little on the high side for my liking (mid 80's) but I think with the purchase of a better fan for under the new light instead of the little 6" clip on the temps will see a couple of degrees decline. I had to really crank up the inline fan to pull the heat out and fortunately the lights off temps are where they still were with the single 600 (low 60s to 60). I was up late last night potting up the next round from beer cups to gallon pots. I always end up kicking myself in the ass after being lazy and not doing it sooner. Some of the new girls were showing signs of deficiencies, some worse than others and luckily some no deficiencies of any kind yet. I want them to be ready as quickly as possible to throw in there after the original girls come down. Last night I also started really looking at trichomes and it seems that there will still be another 10 days or so yet for most of the girls. All trichs were at least cloudy across the board but some weren't even showing ambers yet. I think that headband will be the first to come down as it was showing maybe 20% amber. I still want the girls to gobble up their reserves in their leaves and soil and whatnot, no harsh smoke around here :spanky:. Been feeding just straight water at this point and watching pistils turn brown and fans yellow and fall off.

On another note I think that tonight I'm going to pot up some more Master Kushes and an MK Ultra. The master kush I have in there now had a ridiculous amount of stretch, even after topping and looks like the yield will be nothing to write home about, so I'm throwing the smaller ones in and won't be topping them and hopefully this will work out more. The Jedi Kushes I got over a week ago are finally starting to come around. They got absolutely smoked going into straight FFOF, scorched earth style. Most of them are coming around while there are still some laggers but I think they'll make it too here soon enough. Also, the Appalachian Mud Squid mystery strain might have been solved too. Apparently the most likely cross of it is (Appalachia x Super Silver Haze) so that is good to know after all.

I think that just about wraps up my novel for this here round but I felt like I needed to have an update with some info rather than just a gob of pictures.

Great update wdi

:good:

Thanks man  I didn't know if people were still sticking their heads in here, seems like more of a ghost town in here lately. :tumbleweed:

I hope your pond fogger works out for you man. Here in CO I definitely embrace the dryness. Like so dry it won't ever show up on temp/humidity gauge haha.

Trust me - I go through the same shit in my head all the time - whether it's all in my head or in the thread, who knows. :D

So, after your first vert run, what's your impression thus far? :D

Vert convert hands down. It's like having two cars that perform the exact same and look the exact same but the only difference being one will drive twice as far as the other one. Why have the car with half the mileage? For the sake of saying it's just always been that way? I'm always down to tinker with shit, always. I'm just glad I was paying attention to all you guys making the switch. Shit, I sold my 1k and hood months ago, haha.

...when everything goes smoothly...you can only say "great pics" so many times. :tiphat:

 Thanks man. Granted, I spend wayyy too much time on here reading about stuff, watching threads for new methods and ideas, and researching strains and crosses. Certainly a bit of an obsession right now but I just want to be learning as much as I can. I'm just glad I stumbled upon this community when I did. My knowledge has grown exponentially compared to where I started and there is so much more to learn. The more you learn you realize the less you know. Shit man, I can look back on my old grows and laugh but everybody has to start somewhere.

Thanks for popping in ya'll
