Puffin that since 95 , know it so well. Not to say been in the dam in 98, nothing is like the haze. That being said I knew something was a little off at time got conformation from a someone who really have some facts. These two guys got picked up by the boys in blue with some dubs-sacks-they went to the system the pigs sent that shit to the lab,latter they got more than a herb charge they also got charged with pcp,and only bougt herb from the same shot they get on the reg. I'm ready for cats to come up with backlash.This also struck me cuz I was burning this hard as hell and I lost my dam mind around02. But never dug sherm I did get some real deal all over the rotten apple. Before all the hieghts Nyc had haze pumping those in 30's west side had the haze from dbs to 100 sacks sraight fire that hit u in the center of your crebral cortex. Yo I dont give a flying f*ck if you object opinion's are like as*hole s evyone has em---Peace We get banded out in Nyc--RUDE BOY SINCE TOO YOUNG TO FU*CK

Just wanted to bump this after not logging in in a few years lol.


"The Piff" or "The Church Haze" is hands down my all time favorite strain. I've hoped to see this thread bumped over the years. Some people know about it, others not a clue. I've you've smoked it or been around it you know the deal.

Definitely one of the most distinct smelling herbs i've ever encountered. The smell of the bag, the taste, the exhale smell. You smell it on the wind 100 yards away and just KNOW.

Hope to come across more info soon. Maybe this bump will help

Edit: DEFINITELY hope this thread does not get de-railed or become about race but it def seems as tho the Dominicans are holding this shit! Hear about it in alot of songs from NYC rappers (Styles p, Diplomats, Max B, etc) Harlem is definitely in the building. I often wonder if this shit even exists outside NYC in plant form. Mystery strain lol

Ive mentioned it to older growers (40+) and some seem to have heard of it. Others mention "Lambs breath" or "Lambs bread" in the same conversation. Maybe something is related. Seems to be some type of Jamacian landrace sativa strain. There is also The Church from GHS. Never ran it or smoked it but I wonder if it is similar. Seems hard to believe someone hasn't found these unbelievable genetics and capitalized.

Its almost like it's too sacred and heady to be shared LOL

I'm in upstate NY & don't think i've ever seen it .been growing for about 5 years & smoking fr 35 years .

Seeing the Piff/ "the church" mentioned really takes me back! :yummy: (1995’ish-2004’ish)
It definitely ranks up there among some of the finest, most memorable East Coast flowers I’ve ever smoked.

It made it’s way down 95 to the Commonwealth/D.C., selling for crazy inflated prices.
It usually went by “black haze” and came in those little cube containers, a’la the “cartoon network”.
There was one that reminded me a bit of black licorice, and was almost kinda peppery, we also got “green haze” which was more a piney flavor, along with several others like SSH, 4way, ww, cotton candy, juicy fruit…and there were a few others from that same source, in the same containers, etc. who’s names aren’t coming to me at the moment…

I know she was up in Utica bout 7 yrs back a wild dominican cat had locals lovin the NYC haze . I've seen some amazing mushrooms from up there but the bud i seen was far from impressive




The Cartoon Network used what we would call coffins , last i seen they use plastic jars . They had some nice haze but I wouldn't cop haze from them , it was better n cheaper on the block

What are the prices like on the street in NYC??? Was in Daytona Beach this winter and all i could find was $25 bucks for like a gram of loud!!!! All most shit myself lol Im from Ontario and its 10 bucks straight up for a G and no one pays anymore than 180-200 for an oz of some bomb ass shit!!!

Deff looks like a strain of uptown haze, there's another variety around now that's fluffier and wispyer. I had a batch more like that about 2 months ago, both have that frankincense piff twang.

How do you guys buy your haze from uptown, on the block or you know papi?

What are the different varieties you encounter?

Besides the church standard, what's the textures like?
