334,000W running on Aptus nutrients

Dutch, I figured since there has been a lot of chatter about using different bases along with Aptus I'd ask if you've ever heard of or used "Mills Nutrients" It's a brand out of Holland.. Standard 2 part A&B for base nutes then they have 3 basic boosters too. I've been hearing a lot about it from all the hydro shop guys using it on their personal grows.. they all seem to be stoked on it but have yet to start carrying it.

Hi P

I have never heard of it when I was in the Netherlands but I have seen it in so cal

I don't know anyone running it but you can get it from long beach hydro

Im guessing it's ok but I'm sticking to Aptus and whichever base comes out top on these tests.

It's hard to mess around with these different bases. This will be the last side by side I will do for a while it's a pain in the :moon:

Cheers :thank you:

Hope this helps

DT Thanks for the reply man. I've been looking around hard to see if anyone else is using it and seems that they aren't... that would usually discourage me but a guy who I have a lot of respect for says it works so I bought a small set to give it a test.. You're def right on the side by sides being a pain.. I can only imagine on rooms your size lol... My next run is going to be canna coco base with aptus and this mills base with aptus if the run goes well.

Also I remembered that somewhere in this thread you mentioned how many opticlimates you were rocking..I looked but couldn't find it.. I'm looking into doing a large scale flip garden and would like to run these units but they don't have figures for how many non-air cooled 1k's the largest unit can handle.
Thanks for all of the info you've posted on your rooms!

Haters b hating.

Keep doing you thing. Its great!

Extensive setup top notch!
You must have a huge AC unit.
What is the power setup like?
Do you use any flip boxes?
What brand ballasts?
Running that many lights how many fail on you?

What strain works best for you in your setup?
I'm glad Aptus is working for you!

I use the Opticlimates in a few rooms but it cost me to much in shipping to keep bringing those in. In the bigger rooms I just use reem A/C units.

The lights are in 3 different locations I didnt want to put all my eggs in 1 basket if you get what I mean

I dont use flip boxes I use Solistek ballasts ( not the remote control one )

I think I had to change out 1 ballast in the last 2 years and I change my bulbs every other harvest and reflectors every 12 months.

I will be switching everything over to Adjust a wings on the next cycle

Aptus is working great for me and the insect frass as a foliar feed

Master & Bubba strains work best for me but I'm looking for something new. I may take a trip to Denver to see TH seeds and see if they can breed me something good

Cheers and good luck

opticlimates are the bomb but the shipping takes to long and is mega expensives do i just use Reem A/C's now

Horti control do great flip boxes They are local guys in So Cal I think they are made in OC but the guys who carry mills should have them at their store

got any new pics? so mostly just running master/bubba good solid commercial strains..

also whats the point of swapping the reflectors? ive been running the same ones for 3 years now and see no dimishing yields or quality..in fact yields have gone up as i dial the room in and quality is always top shelf..

You lose about 3-5% compounding annually on an old reflector. Commercial greenhouses switch them out frequently too.

Seeds are the way to go bud. A lot of people make a lot of $$$$ from seeds you just got to be good at it

Keep it simple !

Good luck

I will take some when I get my camera back. I visited Europe before the holiday and screwed up my camera. Best buy said it will be back with me in 4 weeks.

The reflectors lose 7-10% per year , So with the bulb & reflector both degrading Its costly and if you air cool you can add another % of loss onto that

You see all these huge hoods but reality is the reflective material is screwed after 1-2 years even with a high quality reflective.

A china company wont have changeable reflective but a Dutch one will or it will be that cheap you can throw it out and replace it every harvest.

Change one reflector and you will see the difference for sure

god damn had no idea about that, im rocking blockbusters and friends are using raptors i wonder if those have interchangeable reflectors...no point in buying a whole new hood if you can just replace the inner lining. or maybe just taking new reflective lining and sticking it on top of the old one?

Hi DT

Just want to say great work.

I was the first guy to jump on the Aptus hating Train but now I have to say after seeing yours & Jacks thread I tried it and I'm very pleased I did

I used the Aptus base boost pellets in my greenhouse and every plant looked identical.

The insect frass ass a foliar feed was killer.

Im going to try Caps tea on the next run I heard nothing but great things

Peace!

it's funny, but i read the first 3 pages and then i went to the last page and read from there backwards, which sort of explains this grow guide? . a big argument about aptus ,which i have never heard of (from england but spent many a weekend in the dam as we call it (holland) around the cafes and grow shops) greenhouse seeds do a 1 powder feed from start to finish.anyway a few nice pics at the start and thats it. about 16 pages of utter shit and arguing .what a waste? that aptus does sound dear for what it is ,but if he thinks it works for him what's the problem? .he did not force it down anybody's throat .if you dont like it or using it ,then dont.apples and oranges springs to mind.peace and good tidings to all

It was funny to read this for me. DAMN you guys grow some weed. I have a flip flop setup in 2 5'x8' rooms and I run Old Age kelp, bloom, grow and grammas molasses. 2kw per room. I aspire to grow weed as great as yours, even if I don't grow as much. It is turning out bomb, and my patients are SUPER HAPPY. It took me 4 years to get there, and I'm not cocky at all. I'm much better at growing magic mushrooms than pot but ITS LEGAL lol. This was a bonzer thread, I love it. Hate aside, keep it real friends. We all grow pot. No need for hang ups or anger.......
