Is the info in those links different than the ones we been lookin' at since Friday in other threads? Peace GS

I can't see major corporations taking this over. I meant there are only 21,000 patients? I'm assuming most of them live in BC.

I would look to open up shop in Ontario but wonder if the numbers of patients per province/city would be made available? I mean if there is only a couple thousand patients how many growers can the approve?

21,000 times say 3 grams/(very conservative number)is 63,000 grams a day times 365 days = holy shit. Peace GS

Yes and they expect 50000 by 2014!

In the link Rube provided they have the guidance doc for "Technical Specifications for Dried Marihuana for Medical Purposes"

In which they are more specific about testing for contamination's.

Damn the regulations don't seem to hard and definitely doable. I'm gonna get a lawyer and have him go through them and gimme a breakdown but I guess we don't see the full regulations for at least 75 days.

If its doesn't have to be on ALR land and can be in a commercial warehouse its tempting.

This will probably be for pesticides and mold. Anyone thinking about this should probably be taking IPM courses.

Now with mold I guess this means no big monster plants anymore. Bud rot is quite common with big plants and huge buds.

It is for microbial and chemical contamination.

These are the full regulations, they have a 75 day period for comments, they may decide to make changes but I would guess they would be minor. The new regs will come into effect this spring and will be in transition period along side the old regulation for a year period until the old regs expire.

Im curious if they'll be signing new licenses after this spring...

Either way, there will be so many emaciated cancer patients on welfare in the news talking about how they can't afford to do anything BUT grow their own at home.

I can see some kind of home growing being allowed in the end.

Been growing monsters my whole career. Only ever had bud rot in one plant. It was a LUI. Peace GS

Microbial would be mold and pests with mold being there a lot especially with the way a buds grow unlike say a tomato, cucumber and etc... Tight buds retain tons of moisture and thats where the mold will grow, I see this plenty with plants vegged for 6+ weeks. The the top buds just get too tight and retain moisture causing mold to grow.

The pesticide side will be interesting as a lot of people will be smoking it and I haven't see any studied on what happens if to pesticides when they are burnt or exposed to heat.

This is going to be interesting and could also be a great boom for indoor gardening/farming clean room technologies and methods.
Any company that can set up full clean rooms and start with clean stock will have the advantage.

Get yourself a dehumidifier, your humidity is too high apparently. Good luck. Peace GS

Currently there are no pesticides registered by the PMRA for use on marihuana for medical purposes, and therefore, there is no acceptable concentration of pesticide residue in the finished product.

The QA manager is in charge of all related aspects.

Clean room practices and standards will be the norm for LP's, no chemical controls should have to be implemented to assure proper quality.

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean its not there. Any mold contamination would void the product and this isn't you hobby farm anymore, this is real medicine in the eye of HC so they will require stringent testing, that's what they say you need to have

LOL hobby farm. Keep guessing bro. I am stating facts. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean no one can. Peace GS

ps. maybe if dehumids don't help, you need better air movement.
