Yeah please enlighten us. What do they say the reason is?
I only heard about it a little while ago and it seems like great stuff.

Azamax is better anyway........it's just a more concentrated form of neem and it doesn't stink like neem.

Actually... both azamax and azatrol cause muscle tension and other issues with bio-accumulation. Dunno if that's why they banned it, but I know I, and those around me, have become aware of it and won't use it.

I'm running in to other people that have had issues with the muscle tension pulling on their injuries and increasing pain. Stopping the use of plants treated or sprayed with azamax and azatrol makes it go away.

Don't believe me? Don't use any cannabis that has neem or az products on it for a couple months... then go do a bunch of oil hits from stuff treated with azamax/azatrol at the beginning of the harvest. Pay attention to your overall muscle tension.

Surprise! (Dirty rotten trick, if you ask me.)

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

I believe its a product registration/labeling issue
funny story but if a AG Can inspector were to hear me sell you neem products as a insecticide I would be liable for fines of some ridiculous amount like $10 000
but if I were to sell the neem as a leaf shine and to be careful that any pet insects that get treated with it will become ill AG Can would be fine with it
just another day in babylon I guess

a buddy of mine was curled in a fetal position upon learning that neem will be banned as it is an unregistered pesticide, by usage. my friend got in contact with the guy behind Einstein Oil, who claims that his product will still be on the shelves. Im not sure how this will be possible but that is the claim...

If your friend was using legitimate Neem or Karanja oil then he will be very unhappy with Einstein Oil not only with the price (about $400.00 USD per gallon) but this product is adulterated with Sesame Oil and one of the Mints - I can't remember if it's Oregano or Rosemary (for the compounds Linalool, Camphor, a-Pinene, et al)

The only connection to higher intelligence (ala the Einstein name) is the jamoke who figured out how to take an ancient material and screw it up 10 ways to Sunday, jack the price up 500% and still be able to push it out at 'indoor garden stores' - maybe intelligence is the wrong term - chutzpah and/or hubris is more accurate perhaps.

CC- I found a study that shows the compounds in Rosemary oil are effective at killing spider mites, something that even need doesnt do... Im buying a liter of rosemary oil to test fully...

I tried to buy some Green Cure which is mostly Potassium Bicarbonate, and cannot get it in Canada anymore. Green Cure is the best non-chemical remedy I have found for PM. Im working on getting the Potassium Bicarbonate in bulk, hopefully it works just as well...I also had a hard time finding End All... Does anyone know are Pyrethins also banned?

lots of bugs could be killed with only repetitives spray of fine mist with natural soap without perfume

soap dissolves the wax that protects from the cold and they die of cold and diseases (fungus)

Neem!!? Yet all sorts of dangerous pesticides, pharmaceuticals & G-mod shit is perfectly fine.:cuss:

Its sad to see Canada sliding SO backwards (human rights, politically/internationally) this past decade. Too many bad choices.

RE: Potassium Bicarbonate

This is not a recommendation about using any bicarbonate and especially the rip-off prices of GreenCure specifically, but here is a paper from an agency within USDA on helping farmers, horticulturists, etc. move from conventional >> traditional >> organic certification which goes through Potassium as well as Sodium Bicarbonates as a fungicide.

RE: Rosemary Oil

The active fungicide compounds in Rosemary (and other members of the Mint family) appear in a number of pesticide & fungicide products sold both commercially as well as retail/consumer products. There is one out of Canada that has been shown to be effective thru test conducted in conjunction with one of the regulatory agencies - EcoSmart and/or EcoTrol which is approved for organic food production in the USA - you'd have to check on Canadian regulations.

The active compounds that you're working with in almost every plant in the Mint family are: Linalool, Camphor, Eucalyptol, a-pinene, b-pinene, Borneal and a slew of others.

Other Mints that you can consider using in no particular order: Cilantro, Oregano, Peppermint, Spearmint, Lavender flowers, Tulsi (from India aka Holy Basil) or any of the other purple Basil types from Southeast Asia which do not taste or smell anything like Sweet Basil used in Italian cuisine. That's from the Camphor compound.

will it be available as a commercial pesticide?

honestly, spending 80 bucks on the pesticide license is worth its weight in gold

so far nothing about pyrethrine with the neem its more of a registration (with AG Can) issue
if you want a laugh buy some pesticide from crappy tire, you pay for it then a sales associate will deliver it to you in the parking lot almost feels like you are doing something shady

CC do you know a brand or source for pure neem oil?

This is the agent in the USA for organic neem & karanja oils and meals. If the edict only lists 'neem' meal & oils then karanja may be legal. These two trees are almost exact in the pesticide and fungicide compounds - NeemResource.com

This is the where I source both the oils as well as the meals (soil amendment). They will be able to give information about what is or is not being banned.
