So far I am really diggin her. She has been easy for me to grow and likes the same mix my OG cut does so its been an easy transition. Hope to do her justice. Big thanks to those who made it happen. This cut is locked down in my personal mother room.

My buddy just got a fire cut. I hope its raskal's as iv herd there are some other cuts going around with the fire name. Also is tohoe and sfv getting played out as they dont seem as popular anymore?

OGR says no one has his cut that is doesn't trust not to give it out

it's all from his Fire OG Bx. which is Xed to Alien Genetics, and not really just Fire OG

Bout to do my first production run with a new clone I picked up over the summer. It circulates around the east side of Detroit mostly as purple OG. I got it labeled OGPK. It's Tahoe og x lvpk. It is real funky. Smell just pops out of the bag. Leans real heavy on the sweet Tahoe side. Grows like most OGs, but clones like a champ. Grows branches thick enough to hold itself up. Real nice plant.

Here is the Real Deal Fire OG there are many cuts labeled Fire that aren't and the CC Raskal cut is nothing close to the Fire dont waist your time.

that looks familiar. i may have a room of that about to come down. I have long suspect it to be Fire since tasting "fire"here and there and having others postulate it on tasting, though it came to me five years ago called simply "OG"... but those pics look exactly like it. I wouldn't bet the farm on it till i grew it side by side with your fully vetted firsthand cut, but the evidence is stacking up. FWIW i am growing it side by side with what came to me from a very reputable source called the Irene cut. The differences between the two are negligible. Less than two weeks from a proper taste test!

how does she clone?

Well i just read the last 30 pages of this thread.....annnnd There went my night.

That platinum prop has is fire. The sfv is dope too but I still like the platinum better.
Been having my folks in the A ask about the Irene alot lately. Im Curious to see what that cuts all about since I've heard alot about it but never read or seen anything about it. Stoney saying it's an OG wouldn't be the first time I've heard that.

Funny how no one In the east coast really knows about OG kush. everyone just wants sour. They apparently don't care much for the OG. Funny It's completely the opposite on the west coast.

LOL When my folks come out and visit if I tell them I don't have any sour but I got some bomb og they look all butt hurt.

People out here on the East Coast are only going to get to know whats up when they get dispensaries.( or legal stores I hope..)
Until you walk into a store and get to stick your nose in the jars and then repeat it over and over are you going
to understand the differences in strains. No states on the east coast with real disp scene except Maine and they got only 8 of em.
Michigan has had lots of shops for some years now and you got an OG scene like Venice Beach in Ann Arbor. ( kinda )
I bet you do a survey of students in AA and you find lots of folks who know OG.

I understand that there are plenty of growers in the know but I'm talking average
consumers who consume all the beaster quality west coast outdoor.
Only the 1% out east have access to the kind of fire that anybody in the Bay Area with a card can grab 24/7.
Either the very rich or the very lucky to be close enough to a grower
are going to be able to get their hands on OG out here.
I recently got passed a cut that is supposed to be over 10 yr old Abusive OG.
From a strain hoarder in CT. Just flipped her over and I'm waiting...

i think that "sour" has sort of morphed into the new york term for extremely dank, high end, very smelly weed. many people I have heard using the term haven't come within a mile of the actual product, but anytime they have been sold something high end, the word "sour" has been bandied about. much like the term "OG" in other places.

Just call your OG sour and people will be on its dick, NorCal.

nOmaad those folks sound similar to a lot of the new growers in CA the past few years. These guys only know $$ and wouldnt know a nug of oG from a nug of ecsd...if its nice they just call it og lol

sad really but thats what this green rush brings about...

best packs ive seen are not og or sour but seed plants that dont have the brand name. Not saying really good og an sour arent out there, just a lot rarer than the market makes it sound like.

Sure, it seems like everyone grows og and sour, but not many of them grow it really to its potential (weak genetics getting passed around probably has something to do with it)

another thing i see with og and sour d is that when grown really well, its some top ten herb everytime...but when grown mersh or whatever it looks really weak and has no bag appeal what so ever...meh

Do the plant justice, or dont do it at alll

its called branding

dont hate, understand

"sour" and "OG" are brands now. and yes, its a consequence of the illegal market.

illegal means hush hush and hush hush means widespread ignorance. everything you see is a consequence of widespread ignorance. when we and the public can speak openly on this subject and buy/sell/smoke dope legally, and companies can build actual brands, thats when you will see the bullshit dissipate quickly.

in the mean time, dont try to fight a force of nature. work with it and use it to your advantage. know your audience. if your customer doesnt know his ass from a hole in the ground and is obviously ignorant, then just tell him its sour or OG. if its fire, hes gonna be happy with it, i promise. make that sale. on the other hand if its an old head youre dealing with then by all means tell him the strain name details etc. if its quality cannabis? well you probably made that sale too if you know your shit and the product is good.
