multi-strain perpetual SOG with cfls

just keep it simple. my friend grows one or two plants, in any commercial soil you have seen on here. he says Roots organic soil w/coco, like $20 a bag is good. my friend even had good results with miracle grow moisture control. next said he might use fox farms. stay real basic and things will be much easier on your grow. oh and buy a nutrient kit that includes nutrients for all phases. you will be amazed how easy it is.

however if you are growing illegally i cannot recommend growing at all, especially in the USA as the laws are fucked. judges putting people in prison for a plant is ludacris!! I worked there for 16 yrs, and saw first hand that growers dont belong in prison.

Update 12/3/12:
I am making a new soil mix and popping more beans!

My new soil mix consists of Lambert sphagnum peat moss, Coast of Maine Lobster compost, and some perlite.
I added to this some DE, azomite, and KIS Organics nutrient pack.
The KIS nutrient pack contains (KIS Microbe Catalyst, Gaia Green Canadian Glacial Rock Dust, Calphos Soft Rock Phosphate, Pacific Pearl Oyster Shell Powder, Sulfate of Potash (Sul Po Mag, K Mag), Alfalfa Meal, Fish Bone Meal, Crustacean Meal, Kelp Meal, Ahimsa Organics Neem Cake/Karanja Cake, Tera Vita SP-85 Humic Acid, Fish Meal, Feather Meal, Steamed Bone Meal, Natural Calcite, Mycorrhizae*, and Benefical Microbes)

OK so if you saw this thread already or looked at my original post, you will know I started with some Resin Hessassin from Weedbeat, House of Love's Killer Queen redux f2, and some classic blue satelitte 2.2.

I managed to save one female Resin Hessassin and one female Blue sat. 2.2 from my horrible summer experience.

I have been revegging these and taking clones while I was waiting for more beans.

So as of right now, I have 4 Resin Hessassin clones, 1 Killer Queen( waiting to be sexed), and 5 or 6 bagseeds under 12/12. I also have the blue sat 2.2 revegging( taking way longer than the R.H.), the Resin Hessassin mom vegging, a R.h. clone vegging, and 5 more bagseed waiting to sprout up from under the soil.

I just recieved yesterday my order from seedbay.

I ordered Stank Bros BKGK bx1, Carolina Blue x digiberry, Hammerhead's GDPx Querkle. (for freebies I recieved original thai haze x skunk#1, kaya gold, and otm)

I am soaking 2 cbxdb, 1 BKGK, and 2 GDPxQuerkle.

So far both of the GDPxQuerkle's have broken soil and 1 carolina blue x digiberry.
waiting on the bkgk and another cbxdb.

Im going to put them straight under 12/12 so i can seperate males right away and not waste my small space on them. Once i determine the females ill reveg them and take multiple clones.

On the other side of the flower can, we got a few (4 or 5) bagseed about to start week 7, should be chopping around new years. Some more bagseed beginning flowering now, 1 killer queen redux(confirmed female), and 4 resin hessassin clones starting flowering, which are looking very promising.

These resin hessassins are tiny tiny clones and the amount of pistils they are throwing out compared to the size of the clone looks like these might be some fat ass colas, perfect for SOG....?
I hope so!

Promise pics will be coming soon

This next plant is bagseed that i found in a QP, the bag was labeled BxK....

BxK could mean a whole lot of things but my first guess was bubba kush but why would it be B times K and not just BK??

Either way here she is...

Up first is a bagseed plant that was labeled BxK on the bag i found it in...
This plant is in a red cup "hempy" style being fed maxibloom.... Everything else I have in soil but this thing is growing like crazy... I may split my cab next round. And run Identical clones, 2 in my organic soil and 2 in hempys.

Either way heres some pics of her... you think its bubba kush?

picture.php

Sorry for the blurriness. My hand isnt the steadiest. I need to get a cheap point and shoot really soon...

Next is my best Resin Hessassin Clone

picture.php

Finally here is a Killer Queen plant from seed. Im not sure how old maybe a month and a half. But she has been giving me trouble... I started a bagseed and the same exact time and it seems to be doing much better...

picture.php

It looks overwatered I know but I have tried drying it out too. Oh well I'm letting this thing dry out until atleast wednesday or maybe even friday then see what happens. This plant and the bagseed started at the same time have both been sexed and are confirmed females but the bagseed is pumping pistils out and as you can see this Killer Queen has barely thrown out like 10 total.

Anyone have any thoughts? Maybe I Should get this thread moved over to the micro section...

once a plant gets bigger than just a tiny seedling and has any sort of root system developed I think it is going to be pretty hard to over water in a solo cup.. if anything I have trouble with them drying out too fast it seems. Your budding plants actually have a little chunk to them, looks like some nice nugs. If you really are limited in space so much you can't grow in any containers taller than solo cups I think maybe you should at least try to find some sort of square containers that are at least as wide at the base and have more volume than the solo cups. more room for the roots is only going to help... if you could grow your plants just a bit bigger and have a healthier more developed root system then your production would go up quite a bit.

growbig789,
thanks for stopping by, I appreciatte the advice. I can probably get some containers taller than solo cups but what do you think would be better? Taller? or Wider? i also had the idea of cutting the bottom of one solo cup off then slide that into a solo cup with drain holes in the bottom so it would pretty much be the height of two solo cups. What type of container would you reccomend? water/gatorade bottles? 2 liters?

thanks for stopping by!

i think if you had to choose between taller or wider i would first choose wider... square so you get the most volume of material for the space thats being taken up. I picked up some small black square containers at my local garden supply center/hydro store for like 60 cents a piece. if you're using soil (thats all i really know how to do, no hydro/coco stuff), then I would def try to use a container that i could fit the most soil in and still fit in the small growing space...

So I missed my update last week and then snapped some pics yesterday to post but never posted them! Lol

Well first things first, I harvested 4 bagseed plants, 2 because they weren't progressing much, another because it looked like it had nanners poking through some of the calyxs, and the final one was actually flushed and ready to be harvested. lol I have no pics of the other 3, i doubt you guys want to see them anyway, but heres some pics of the one that was actually flushed and pretty much ready for harvest...
This plant was a bagseed found in a bag labeled "BxK"...
Other seeds from this bag were grown out but this was the only one grown in a hempy bucket. all others were grown in soil in beer cups.

picture.php

Heres pics of two other plants from the same bagseed, these are both in soil...

picture.php

picture.php

This plant is another bagseed just from a different batch. This batch was not labeled or anything but this plant even though it is young is impressing me. It is growing with small internode spacing, and overall healthy growth.

Next are some pics of the Resin hessasin clones...
Unfortunately I lost my mama, due to ignoring the veg cab... so I might be trying to reveg on of these clones.

picture.php

I still don't understand how i took 4 clones from the same mother, 2 clones grow out double-headed and the other two grow out single budsickles?

Here are some pics of the seedlings I started about 3 weeks ago...

CarolinaBluexDigi Berry Bx1( has been confirmed a male, might try to do some pollen chucking)

GDPxQuerkle ( Confirmed female, vegging out so I can take cuts)

BKGK(unknown sex, hoping female)

thanks for the advice man. I was on HTG checking out some flourescent lights and checked in their container section, they had some 4 inch pots. 10 pack for like 4 or 5 bucks, so about the same price you paid...

Oh and forgot to mention, I snagged a 2 foot, 2 lamp Pll light setup from HTG. Even though this is less actual watts then what I'm running now, we all know its not watts that matter, unless you're worried about the electricity bill.

I will supplement the PLLs with CFLs if neccessary but I have a feeling these little babies will be more than happy with the new sun in the sky.

If anyone is curious what PLLs are, check out this thread:

yah i see those 4" pots they have, the ones right next to them are even a bit better, 10 for 7 bucks 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 6 in tall. Now those would give you quite a bit more room for the roots than the cups, even the 4" ones would probably do better too.

yeah i just didnt want to limit my space and the amount of plants I can fit in my chamber, because after all, this is a SOG. foor my next run Im going to put 1 clone of each strain in one of those 4 in pots, one in each corner. The rest of my cab I will load up as normal, beer cups, and gatorade bottles. I came across something interesting the other day while reading a thread in the VERT forum by ANTI.

He's using these things called tree pots, they come in mini and regular. Originally he was using a mini size, 2.5 in wide and 10 in tall. These pots have a volume of 857 ml.

Some one in his thread discovered that they make a regular size version called the SHORTONES and these are 4 in wide and 9.5 in tall but hold a volume of 1.65 liters. If my estimates are correct, thats about double the volume it can hold, with not much size increase. I may be ordering some of these to test out in my cab...
