having met countless people that have never been able to complete even a simple logical process correctly, I can safely inform that computers have been smarter than tons of humans since when I was sporting a tandy 1000
I am sure cell phones are smarter than many people using them. Had people almost crashing into me while talking on their little computer communicator.
Walking down the street talking into their phones non stop, I figure anything they are saying is pretty dumb. Smart people do not tend to talk all that much in my experience. As far as people with proper brains or geniuses, well overall I would say no. In certain areas the computer could overtake an individual in ability.

I didn't know about that one. Here's another book, called "Colossus", this one a novel, about a similar situation. It was written in 1966, so was undoubtedly influenced by Asimov's earlier story.

if you mean proffesional as in traditional education, then no, I don't believe that traditional education has anything to really teaches us in the domain of consciousness. i'm just a human being that loves these topics and has been studying them where it counts, in my personal, direct experience. Consciousness is personal, it is not something that can be taught in school, or something a group of people can prove or discover. We, as consciousness can discover this for ourselves...if we have a desire for it...and a love-based intent.
Fear-based intent will not get you there, and since the majority of the people are making choices using fear-based intent, they listen to and respect politicians, scientists, and religion leaders.
Just the kind of people that are all about love.
These three fear-based, low consciousness, greeedy to the bone organized mafias are behind the majority of the evil that the world has seen, and will continue to see, as long as the masses continue to support and believe these mofos.
