I've got them on a 20/4 right now......haven't thought of playing around with the schedule at all to be honest. I've been thinking more about what to do when I get my light built.

Tweaking the light cycle would be very beneficial when trying to play with the stretch/growth of the plants thats for sure. You can really maximize growth depending on the plant and how she grows while vegging.

Can't wait to see how your diy LED light goes man. I am excited to see more and more of these popping up.

Hello All:

thank you all for the kudos....especially medmaker420 and drfever..........

So, I've decided that I'm happy with the size of my little girls and I've began their conversion to the flowering cycle. First step is that I've changed out the nutrients and instead of an all around general 20-20-20, I've given them a 5-45-19 based product which is 'Open Sesame' by Foxfarm....DUH!! almost wrote Firefox! LOL

I will also start changing out the light cycle as well from what it is now at a 20/4 to a gradual rise or lowering, whichever you want to call it, of 12/12. I'll probably decrease the light by one hour ever day or two.....

Plants look amazing there vuk great job there buddy so more or less in 8 days you should be on 12 /12 ??? vuk i swear you going to need something to hold them buds up lol with your skills i would make a folding scrog table fold it away when done hahahah , but seriously dude you should make some sort of supports cause i see like 15 + bud sites on the plant on the right and same on the left so what probably 40+ bud sites all said and done poor girls will be leaning over like that leaning tower of pisa lol but much worse.

The one on the right is the purple kush but the other two are the ones which are going to need huge supports.. The are blue satellite and I've seen these produce main colas which are almost the size of a 2L bottle of coke!!

Yeah, also, you're right about the time.. more or less.. Also, don't forget I'm building that light so I wouldn't mind seeing it in action as well but today fucking Murphy struck..I knew he would sooner or later so I need to get a tester to see where the connection is broken........Always fucking something...

Well, I changed my mind and in honour of all of our fallen, I have decided to make today the first flowering day.

I've snapped a few pictures just for reference of what they look like now before they stretch out too much. I don't know how much the Purple Kush will stretch but I know the Blue Satellites will gain a bit of height which means I will definitely need supports coming up very soon..

Hello everyone:

Well, it's the second day of the flowering cycle and I say why wait? I wanted to clear out the under brush while it's still manageable so that is what I did.

Here are some images of that and then I'll stop posting here until they actually start to show flowers or if there are any other changes to be mentioned...

looking good buddy take your time under plant as to not stress them out i usually wait week or 2 then get under my girls in flowering stage, if height is not a issue i also would let them free from the bindings tie up a little higher and keep slowly stretching plants out
and if your not sure about cropping to help from stretch phase i would suggest to try one then

Hello Everyone:

It's been a few days since I've updated this and I wanted to let you all know it's still all good and going quite well. Flower day 5 today on Friday Nov., 16/12 and here are the pictures.

As you can see, I've had to do some trimming and lollypopping as some people call it. I just say that I had to shave their legs..hhehe

I am loving leds more and more especially as I see them finish LOL. I can't wait to see these girls of yours finish up. It looks like you have some yielding phenotypes that you are running so that is exactly what our LED community needs more of.

Also I really can see having a 300 - 400 watt led panel running 8 plants in 2 gallon pots and getting 2 ounces per plant ( with the right pheno ), what are your thoughts on that and do you see it feasible? A pound using less than 400 watts? I see that strain you have there would be prime to test the theory with.
