Thanks massa.

Do the natives know you are getting high? Did you make anyone smoke joints with ya? Or do they use other stuff to get ¨high¨?

Wifes family and some others know what the plants are for, and Ive never "Made" anyone smoke with me, my main man berto see's me burning it every day and asked to give it a try,,and liked it, likes it better than the rum now....

NeNe was supposed to have called last night. I hope she's doing well.

Yup we had NeNe on Skype Fri night before we left,,tell ya the truth we wasent leaving until we heard from her, shes there and ready to get started, the " honeymoon" period is gonna wear off quick so we're planning a quick trip there in a few months, gonna be fun to see how she's gone from a dirt floor hut made of bamboo to being driven to school in a toyota. Kid can spell the word "shopping" and can tell you what the word means in 2 languages,,but shes never done it,, gonna be a lota fun for some one.:ying:

wut up!!!!

hows the fam?

The Fam or Farm ?????
Fams doing good, I love it when I come home after a few days out and the boy comes runnin up on me, never had that with the girls,, my fault,, each x-wife all had the same "issue",, I was never there....:tumbleweed:

The farm is kickin like Elmos chicken,,, old growth coffee trees love wet feet and its been wet,,,not wet but WET... The river was high and running fast yours truly took a deep 6 on the way back, almost got to the other side when I stepped in a hole and went right under and away,, I was carrying 2 things in my hands when I went under,, one stayed above water,,, my camera was in a small bag the other hand.

We'll start this 2 day hike to the farm with ??? a nice doob, cause I know whats in front of me,,and I am in no hurry to head down this goat trail that will lead us to the river,,, dont know if you can see the steepness of the hillside in the fotos, and this part isn't to bad, its just that the little steps dug in the dirt are set up for native feet,,,not mine,, I got some decent wet/drys that give me a good footing ,,,these guys do it wearing rubber flippers.. We were told the river was running fast but still crossable when we came across a nomad family from another island farming rice on a hill side, Ive heard about them but have never seen or met any,, you guys think my wifes tribe is old skool,,,these guys are Flintstone skool,,native cloths and wraps, slippers made from the inside skins of big coconut tree leaves, not a sight of the anything from the last few centeries, the sight of me got them asking questions and looking a lil jittery ,,when they found out I lived here with my wife, they started laffing, one thing I know for sure,,,when a native laffs,,,its a good thing and weather you understand his words or not, the fact he's laffin is a sign of acceptance and what evers going on is cool with him,,or her, they travel from island to island living on a hectors worth of hillside for a year or so then move on,, the oldest male and my wifes gran pa sat down and chatted for a few minutes,, granpa getting up with a big smile showing them 2 sabers for teeth he's got sticking outa his jaw and the other guy getting up with a satisfied look on his face, dosent take a rocket scientist to figure out what went on there eh ?? Found out later the deal was for 20 kilos from each harvest they produce while here, to be brought to the village before they leave, big time honor system eh ?? I say they show up in the ville one day a few months from now with a few baskets of rice fulfilling their agreement with grandpa

Ok,,first we gotta get across the river or this trips over and we turn back.

sorry bout that (english isnt my first language), think i didnt say that they way i ment it to.

Silly question, that you've probably addressed, but I'm mostly stoned when I read your stuff so indulge me please:
Do you get papers from passing freighters or do you have to go into civilization for them? Asia in general is notoriously lacking in rollingpapers,no?

No prob Mop,, thats one of the cool things about this site, when Im up at night I get to see all the Euro posts,, try as I may I can only read every other word,,I just like lookin at the fotos till I go blind....

Nice update too bad about the camera

Im going to give it another day of dry out time and see if I get lucky, this is the last one I have..

Man aint that the truth,, I tell ya the place that freaked me out when I saw it,,,Manila,,theres even a handful of 420 friendly shops selling bongs bowls papers and grinders,,,but your spot on,,Asia is lacking in the paper Dept. That one in the foto was rolled from some flavored papers a friend in Scotland sent me, just got them and some Auto beans to try out,,,Thanks Haggs.. I says send me some papers so just to be a Scotish prick whats he send me,, EZwider pineapple and coconut flavored papers,,, and you can bet he's laffin his fat ass off cause all I did for years was complain about the fact everything tastes like coconut.
I have gotten papers from a few ships passengers but not as many as Id like, and theres a small shop on one of the mining islands that sells papers, but,,they have Rizzla papers in the blue pack and its like smoking cardboard.. Papers are a treat,, when I get some they go in a jar to keep the gum from going bad.
I do roll some nice banana leaf blunts with dryed leaves re-moistened with sweet coffee, rolls great cones, smokes tasteless and low ash,, but its just not a rice paper.

On our hike to the coffee farm, from this foto we're about half way there, were on top of the mountain where I went down on the bike. I found the burned carcuss under the growth and gave it a snappy salute, it was a good stead.
Ok camp here tonight, have to make it to the top of that mountain by tomarrow before dark,,,the farms in the valley on the the other side..

Haha, your friend is a class-A smart ass, with dickish overtones. He could have thrown in some regular ones,or at least some other flavors, ffs.
Well, living in paradise has to have some drawbacks, right? I'd still take up bananablunts in a heartbeat to be able to live out my Robinson Crusoe-fantasy. But yeah,I won't be as quick to complain next time the headshop is sold out of my preferred brand. This bud of ice x thai, rolled backwards in a 1,25 raw is for you:biggrin:

While in Egypt I found they use papers without gum. They tear a fine strip of the long end to help bond the joint.
They rip an stick.
Have you seen them mas?

If you have a dry bag of rice you can put your camera in it to dry it out.

Dude,,,like a salt shaker at the beach,,Its in there now,, thanks for the tip. :ying:

Ive seen um but in Amman, and had a hash tobacco mix rolled in them, it was a little tie loop that had to be slid as you smoked.

One of the worst Ive ever seen was a place thats not the easiest on the planet to get a bag of weed in the late 90s, but money talks and has no language barrier and I soon had my needs met but had nothing to burn it in. I needed a paper,,needed to keep up appearances,, I smoke, so if seen smoking a doob,,,,You get the picture we've all been there.
When I explained my needs to the guy that got me the weed he says "ya ,,sure,,you wait here"
He came back an hour and 6 coffees later(no shit) with 2 fat packs shaped like rolling papers in a small bag,, i felt on one ,,it was a paper,,,cool, I'm gone.
Find me a nice quiet park a good walk from the embassy making my plan as I walked,,,all I needed was 4-5 good chokes and I'd be where I wanna be,, being a professional stoner I know I can roll a doob in this bag no prob, just need to see which end the gums on,,,hey , no problem. Find me a nice spot, take out my bag of papers and get my weed ready,, for the first time I look at the bag and see its from a beauty supply shop,,I says huh,, pull out a paper,,its thick but rice paper for sure,, couldnt read the writing on the paper pack, looking at the paper ,,,theres no gum,,
W T F ,,no prob I know what to do,,just gotta roll one and get it all slobbery wet till it sticks to itself with out tearing the paper.
Got one rolled smoked and in the books, later that night I found out that the papers are for hair dressing ,,dont know for what exactly, just some kind of hair dressing tool.

The foto is the entrance of the coffee valley,, you can see the difference of plant life right on the edge going from jungle to wooded low land forest,, the coffee is under the trees from here till the end of the valley. From here you can see the valley dogleg to the right going in between the two mountains
To give ya and idea on sizes of things Im standing on the side of a hill still on the down sloop,,the lone coconut tree is about 70 feet tall, and the banana trees are about 40 feet high, 2 of the banana leaves could cover a car and make great temporary shelters. The pink looking trees in the center of the foto are Cashew Trees, really BIG Cashew trees,, they run along both sides of the valley growing from the side of the mountian in an angle that looks straight from here, sorta, but under them you can see how they conformed to the steep slope and grew outwards before upwards towards the sun,,,kinda cool.... Cashews will be the next crop after coffee,,, the pink and white cashew flowers are there now the fruits will set soon, I'll be sure and get something going on the cashews for sure, so next time yer in 7-11 bitching about the price of a 1oz bag of salted nuts you'll know why...

Open sea is on the other side of the big mount.

Now heres a kick in the ass for ya..
At the place where Im standing we've been walking for almost 2 days,, we'll be on the farm in about 3-4 hours, made good time getting here.

From the ville, in a boat (with engine) and good weather you can get to the sea side of that mountain in about 3 hours, 9-10 hour hike over the mount and yer in the valley,,, but theres no place to land a boat,, the waters are dangerous:shark: with open sea currents and tides and is avoided by smaller boats to the point of going a kilometer or more off shore to go around the area...

The sea facing side is a shear face going straight down to piles of huge jagged boulders sticking out of the water ,,from a boat (far off) you can sit and almost see how the entire side of the mountain slid into the sea, in the clear water you can see the same style of jagged boulders 20-25 feet deep until they drop outa sight into deep open sea water. Ive gotten stoned contemplating what it was like for the whole mountain side to slid away,, rocks sticking out of the water now were the last to come down,, so at one time were near the top,, and when did it come down ?? why is water wet ? do these shoes look stupid ? and lets be honest,,its not the dress that makes you look fat,, is it ????

Ok one more small river at the bottom of this hill,,, cross it,, and we're there.

Enjoying the updates. You mentioned Annapolis and some associated beach trips...ima sure our trails have crossed somewhere on the eastern shore of md. I spend a lot of time of my life in that part of the states.
