So , i placed my order for a 180w Extreme flower unit from AdvancedLedLights after speaking with customer service about the difference between the Ds100 Model. My main concern was that I didn't want to loose out on any tech the the new Diamond Series had to offer, and after a lil discussion he assured me the actual leds are the same yet I would get better coverage with the 180w Extreme Flower Model. Good guys over there an very friendly. So hopefully it gets here quick as I want to start week 2 with led.........now the wait, stay tuned folks.
Im missing my 4k already.
Broke a rule moving into this new house, I didn't check the breaker box cause it was infested with wasps an just figured it had atleast 200 amps to play with an run my sub panel into my grow room......nope only 100 with no extra slots.
Got to love the hps lol, 4k is always fun to play with minus paying the ebill for it. In the end it all works itself out but yes mass wattage is always a blast. Everytime I move I worry about water quality, what sort of power panel and plugs are in the place.
Have you thought of doing a flip flop box and just using 2 of those 1ks? Have 2k on during the first 12 hours and then 2k on during the next 12 hours.
Yup I have thought of every possible way. I only like.to run on 240 so my bill is cut in half but no space to add my double pole 240 sub panel breaker in the main and all the rooms have 15 amp single breakers which wouldnt even hold 1k since all that comes with runnin 1000watters like my ac unit my maxcanfan and fans pumps for automated watering.....my ac alone is 10.5 amps lol.
I always run a sub panel with dedicated 6/3 wiring from main to sub panel for reasons that you just never can trust house wiri.g when ya running higher wattage grow rooms with all the bells an whistles.

Im running 2-600w hps lamps, A/C, 4bulb T-5, inline fan, and 2 standing fans on 1 curcuit.
I have 2 Sentinal PXM-1 power expanders to handle it all. I do however have a flicker a couple times a minute. Like a half a blink. 1 of my 600w ballasts burned out 9 hours into the day. Soooooo lucky I was in the room when it happened. It was smoking bad.
This place Im at sucks to grow in. Very shady electrical. Do you think if I unplugged my fridge, which is on a different curcuit than the grow rooms, I could add 1 - 1000w hps lamp with another PXM-1 power expander to the room with the 2- 600w lamps? If the curcuit can handle the fridge, do you think it could handle a 1000w lamp?

Before you started growing did you map the the house yourself by seeing what plugs actually are.connected to each breaker. some shady electricians will come in to fix a burnt wire run and just spli e into another sayin they fixed the problem. in actuallity they just caused a problem down the line cause now there is too much running on a circuit.
the pxm-1 can only hold 15 amps each. I need more info on how much amps each piece of equipment uses. IF all that is on one 15 amp breaker that is your problem cause im pretty sure that is too much for even a 20 amp. Give me more info an maybe i can be of more assistance.
A lil tip bathrooms equiped with a gfi usually have their own circut an can the plug can be changed out for a non gfi plug an you can run one of your pxm-1 units to there with a heavy duty extension cord. bit ya gotta map your houses electricity. Ya never know whats been done to the electricity. the last house i was in was horrible too. they ran one line on a 15 to the whole upstairs which is where the 3 main bedrooms were at so i tapped into the bathroom but they ran all the bathrooms together so when the wifey blow dried her hair that breaker would flip. Alot of electricians are lazy and just dont do the job right to save money an cheat you.

Yes thats what happened here. It was a 1 family house with 2 floors. They made it into a 2 family house and rented out both floors. Illegelly too.
The owner did the electric himself cheaply so Im sure he split wires here and there.
Its a very old house. Both bedrooms and the living room are on 1 breaker, plus a plug in the kitchen.
Then the stove has its own curcuit because its not a 120v. I was thinking...my ballasts have the option for both 120 and 240v or whatever it is. Maybe if I used that I could run 2 more 600w lamps just off that alone. With the 240v ballasts it only takes 3 amps instead of 6 amps to run a lamp. What do you think?

I just keep hearing Beavis, "Fire, Fire, Fire!" Thats alot of what ifs for your situation, ideally you can connect another 1000w to the fridge plug....if its not spliced another fridge downstairs or something else. I personally would stick with 600w units but I would move your grow next cycle to another location if possible. To run 240v you need to replace the breaker that line is on and also that line has to be 10/2 or 10/3 wiring to handle the power and im sure if this dude messed with the wiring to cut corners he ran minimal wiring. Your pushing it with what you are running now. Check the breaker box an see what line your running on to see if the breaker is a 15 or a 20. with 2 x 600's thats already 12 amps and with all ur accessories you askin for something to burn up like when ur 600 started smokin. Go to a few bars get close with an electrician an invite him over when ya can trust him. Make sure hes a family man an he has something to loose cause more than likely he wont put his family in danger by doing something stupid....big risk i know but your running a bigger risk of fire from ur scumbag landlord screwin ur wiring up.

Things are running pretty smooth in here, but its what to expect with the K.I.S.S method. The girls are almost all ready to be put on my auto drip setup Im about to put together, as some are feeding every night but a few are still on every other day to give them a proper wet/dry cycle of feeding. I started them all on molasses to increase the iron/cal/mag, an they are Mcluvn it.
When the Led panel arrives I will have alot of my questions answered about how the enviorment will change such as, what will it do to humidity and since the lack of heat, what will it do to the transpiration rate that is needed for the coco. I have many Q's in my head an will figure this technique out with trial an errror......just hope its not to much error lol.

.....Things really came into their own when they devised the portable AC units and I like the way you've got the third 'intake' line set up as well..
Damn, if that's one thing that us 'stoners' are is ingenious when it comes down to figuring shit out like this when we need to.!! I use the term 'stoners' very lightly and no offence is intended especially since I include myself in that category.

Thanks Vukman. The only way to stop the funk exchange is hooking it up that way, but the downfall is you cant have a sealed room. Gonna take some clones tonight of the Jackflash#5 as I didnt keep the mom an put it into flower since it didnt seem to grow well in veg. What made me wanna keep her is she just took off in flower an is a nice indica shorty pheno. I veg under 24/0 and I think that was her issue in veg wantin a lil sleep. Im gonna build a panda film veg tent in my walk-in closet in late November that I can light proof. Right now Im using a Clonebox from hydrohut thats only 4x2x4. It currently has 6 moms packed full.
.......wishin I had a time machine today.

Theres a thread on here where someone used a 800w solarstorm an killed it....sooooo damn frosty. But that unit runs $1799 ON SALE! Not worth it IMHO.
