Hi GTBH. The plant is now 20 inches or 50cm tall. It's always been in the same pot, sowed the seed right in there. Haven't seen any stretch so far since I switched to 12/12. Since it's my first time growing indoor it's hard to judge when to go into flower. I have no idea how big the plant is going to get. I hope it doubles in bloom.
i bet you get an excellent yeild from that plant i think i may have started 2 many seeds i wanted 6 females for my tent so far i have 12 seedlings lol i think 4 plants would have been plenty
That's kind of a luxury problem you have I would select the 4 best females and flower them out. And I would probably dry and smoke the shoots, new growths and small leaves from the plants you don't select.
Hey Liza, welcome to IC! Happy looking little lady you got there! Good luck with your grow, and I'll be sure and lend any advice from my personal experience if I can.
Seems like a good idea GTBH, good luck. I'll be watching how it works out for you.
Thanks for the support kushedphantom, any and all advice is always welcome. Have a lot to learn still. I'll probably do a picture update later today or tomorrow, so stay tuned.
The container size is 7 gallons (30L) but there is only about 6.5 gallons (25L) of soil mix in there. I have been feeding Canna Terra Vega. Two feedings for every three times I watered it. At full strength.
Nice. Good size container for flowering. I usually don't give full strength feedings with anything, but if it's working for you, keep it up. It's all trial and error and each plant is a different life force and wants different things in different conditions. Good work.
I agree that probably every plant is different. This one really loves her food. At times I give it plain water or let the soil go dry for a day or two and when I start feeding her again she looks much better. Also I haven't seen any sign of nute burn on the leaves. I plan not to give too much in late flower and flush heavily.
Another picture update. I tucked in the big fan leaves to allow more light to reach the lower branches. I didn't however cut or prune the fan leaves, just bent them down under and between the branches. She is stretching but not yet flowering. She's 23.5 inches or 60cm right now.
