AirPots vs regular cups/pots

not my intention
sorry bout that
I Quit
All I use is air pots. Never fails, i could have A plant with underwear wrapped around the top of it, and if I'm with somebody unfamiliar to "the setup" no matter what, (especially women? I dunno either) unless its one of my blind girlfriends, the first comment is on my air pots! I love the fact that I can disassemble & clean, then neatly stack & store away till needed later. I am not A fan of "the homeboy hookup" in regards to tattoo work, and I also think that cheap gun you saved on is going to embarrass you (not you directly my friend) when it jams constantly while target practicing at the range. This idea of spending A lil more, carries over to my garden as well. I am enclosing A few photos of how I utilize this product & what works for me, since in my opinion you hadnt been taking full advantage of what this product has to offer your ladies. Even the blind ones... Regards, Liam-

After seeing the results of the smart pots, I can only imagine how great the results are using these air pots. It seems to me the price is worth it in the long run.

I am just starting to use the smartpots which from what I can see in 72 hours the growth has exploded but I will wait to see what the final product is like once its all done. Who knows maybe it will increase yield or maybe it wont. I have not seen enough side comparisons of yields with smartpots or airpots versus regular black pots.

If it does increase yield as they market then this was an idea everyone should have jumped on years ago!

i love mine! my plants grow like crazy in them. my moms are growing too fast for their own damn good lol. im doing a side by side of multipotted clones(3 per pot) side by side and i will take some pics and get em in here. they were just transplanted recently so i suspect the real differences will soon be showing. they were dead even at the start. 3 and 3 identical shaped clones of S@nnies herijuana, one set in air pot and the other of the same size balck round pot.

I'm curious.. do you run them all the way thru flower with 3 in the same pot? If so, how tall do you let em get before jammin em to 12/12? Oh.. almost forgot.. how big are your airpots? I love airpots.. I've been using them for 3 years now..

Great side by side joe. I loved it. I'm running a side by side nursery pots vs smart pots and will post it once write enough posts to add pics. LOVED THIS ONE THOUGH!

could have done without seeing those weird Bilgee planting methods. Never seen someone leave 3 pots on their plant, and have no clue what you are talken about when you explained why you do it that way.

I have a mother plant that usually autoflowers when it gets root bound. With these type pots prevent this or aggravate it. Thanks!

just thought i would point out a few things....

this is pythium...
View Image

even though you have air pots, it would seem that you kept them too wet or watered them too much and caused to roots to become unhealthy...

now see these?
View Image

this is the "pythium wilt" that you will see only days after the pythium has beed introduced...days later the plants will be dead, they will also stop taking up water...

i should also mention that it could also be Phytophthora....

sounds more like fusarium wilt to me . but the pic dont look like either more like ammonium toxicity

In my studies, i have found that you will have much better results if you are using or planning on having AirPots in a hydroponic set up.
I have seen them work well with soil, clay pebbles, coco coir, decomposed granite, aquarium rocks, and perlite.
Smaller stones is a better alternative to larger stones, the reasoning behind this is algae prevention.
The great thing about AirPots is the fact that they can support a much more extensive root system in a smaller area than with a conventional pot.

Hey Joedog, It has been a while since you last posted.. You should have harvested already by now, right?

Do you have the final weight of the experiemnt?? I want to know what your final finding are!!

Also, I think I read that the AP are most effective when started in AP's.. Not normal pots and then switched only for flowering or something? I currently have 3 foot plants I am about to flower but love the idea of airpots.. Would it be worth it to transplant the normal pots to AP's for flower?

Anyways, looking forwards to hearing from Joedog!

Airpots (another first)
LEDS in a home made fixture ( Yet another first for me)

Ummm I am pretty sure that it can hardly be called an experiment if you replace more than one thing. Especially if they are big changes... How do you know if an improvement or negative change is because of one factor and not another?

Anyways perhaps you should start another thread for your 'experiment' rather than hijack this one.

Maybe I am wrong though, I am new here.

I'm curious about these led bulbs you've got and where you got them... as well as their price.. That's quite the rig you've got built for yourself there... is this something you've grown with before? What was your previous method and what were your results like? And just an observation.. you need to get ur bubblegum habit under control..

You're an interesting guy Guy I'm a little new here are you a mod because I didn't think you started this thread? If not why don't you leave being the hall monitor to those to parties.

As for the experiment "for me" it's just to see if I can produce something using completely new materials and techniques ONE of which is AirPots. I'm not trying to prove the original threads position just showing YES they work well even for a newb when it comes to pots and soil.

As far as a Hijack it takes more than one post!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need to be careful there are peeps around that don''t like ANY straying from the intent of the thread.

LEDwholesalers.com

before

bubble buckets (hydro)
400 mh for veg
1K hps for flower
The results on the whole are excellent but a hassle to deal with I wanted something more hands free.

OK OK now I've done it I posted another off topic post DAMN!
