How far are your lights spaced? I am on my first vert tree grow, and I spaced the bulbs 5 feet from the center of each plant, so 10 feet between each bulb. Does that sound about right?
and also, those outdoor plants look great, i wish we could grow giant sativas all the way up here!

Just got to the end of page one, but I'm diggin' the cleanliness of the setup.

..even if it IS hydro.. ;)

:respect:

Edit: Finished with thread. MOAR PCHLEASCHEEEEE

Beautiful setup hydroformer.....for capfan, Under current is when the water pump pushes water into the buckets from the bottom and drains back to the res from the top portion of the bucket.

RDWC works on the same principles except the water is fed to the top of the bucket and drains back to the res from the bottom.

i started in rockwool and ebbflo like u, no good. i then moved to RDWC looking back though undercurrent would be a better option only because my roots are constantly clogging the drain line.

Next time I'll have a light over the top of the plants as well I think trees require either a double stack vert or a hybrid vert & horizontal when the plant centers are so far apart.

I'm pretty interested in some of these "Igrow" 400w induction lights as an over head horizontal option, they can safely be 10" off the canopy while not adding much heat and wattage to the room.
The bulb's 42" long and the fixture's 48"x48"x10" with the added wings. They rate the bulb for 100,000 hours and 90% @ 60,000 hours, and say they developed and patented a grow and bloom bulb just for horticulture.

You can see a demo here:

Here's there web site with a lot of interesting info on there product:

:yeahthats

A buddy just sent me a link to that. Interesting stuff. I'd love for someone else to take the plunge and let the rest of us know how it works out.

Hey bro, would you be buying 4 then at $2400 each? or will you save $375 by just using the vegging bulb?

I've been looking for pricing all I could find is someone mentioning 1200$ per. I emailed for a quote. If they've really developed a "great flowering bulb" for this ballast system, then I'd give it a try.

$1200 X 4 = $4800....damn, you must really, really want to save power and reduce heat to be thinking of using these units! Why not 600w Gavitas for 1/3 the price and double the lumens/par light?
