My 2 cents....Cats like Karma, Chimera, Loompa, E$kob@r, Classic, Kaiki, and Neville are some of in my opinion the top of the capstone in their own respected rights. Guys like Classic and E$ko have amazing stuff at very very affordable generous prices, Kaiki runs the raw shit, Loompa got the fuckin flame, Neville simply speaks for himself, Chimera is a wealth of information and has a tight lineup of strains, and Karma is probably the most underrated out there that is actually breeding and not pairing up/reversing elites for a quick buck.
You are absolutely wrong on that. In fact, he admitted that doesn't even know what elite cuts he is using. Ex: Shoreline & OG Kush. What respected breeder do you know that says "it's good whatever it is" about their own P1 stock? He sells names and nothing more. It might be dank but you don't know for sure what it actually is, because he doesn't know.

Can't say I've ever seen a shoreline hyb from karma, is that an older release? And what OG are you talking about? He's using the HA in his biker line, OG#17 for his 'Bear og', and he's used an SFV bx male that I dont think he has any more. I'm no expert on Karma, I have only smoked weed from his strains (Jack, Mirre and Kryptonite) but they were all great and I have never been confused genetically speaking about any thing I see him coming out with..... That is with the exceptin of the big sur x biker kush where he said the bsh isnt pure and is crossed with somethig else.
And by what standards should this be measured ? ^^ I mean, when is something True-ly quality controlled or could just as well be Hype-shit?
I think some helpfull criteria for beeing a breeder would be to take into consideration the number of succesive reproduction seasons under his belt > combined to the number of plants beeing used to select from > combined to the harshness of conditions his plants are to thrive under.
Anything else would just be "breeders ethics, prolly combined to a certain moral code and from there on it will be real hard to distinguish between breeder & seed maker.

So the breeder who creates an unstable clone is a breeder, but the guy who tries to make seeds available of that or produces crosses of other quality strains is "just" a seed maker? Why is one better than the other and why? They are both providing different services. To me the people producing good crosses for reasonable prices are doing just as big of a service to the community as those breeding stable lines. I like the unstable stuff just as much because you never know what you'll find. Also unlike clones I can order seeds and receive them from the other side of the planet.

from the larger more commercial seed producers i rate subcool and serious seeds up there. they have a standard you can rely on.

Yo, so back on topic, Serious seeds does get my highest qualification thus far for if to grow for commercial purposes, but if it were to be grown for my own private interest I must say that his selection has become rather boring meanwhile.
Simon has been running his bussiness already since a long time and I can find myself pretty well in most of the aspects of his breeding strategy.
KC brains comes to me on a good second place, but that's mostly due to the fact that he ones sold me femmed seeds wich all prooved to be regulars.
That act completely pissed me off, as I had to grow his batches up to 5 times in a row, making sure that there were no any stressing factors involved to proof him wrong wich by my standards I eventually did but wich he kept denying.
He's got THE shit though, don't take me wrong, but after 5 attempts & at my growing level I will figure at some point who's right and who's wrong wha?

I think the title of the thread should be worded differently. It seems he wants to rate which 'Seed Vendor' produces the best results.
I know there is a total difference between a 'Breeder' and a 'Seed Vendor', but i couldn't be bothered elaborating myself.
The fact that some people get all egotistical about whether they're favourite vendor is a 'True Breeder' or not is quite funny.
On a side note, i have watched some of Greenhouse Seeds videos, omg??? What are they thinking?
I guess it's nice to see them grow one of their plants, but Arjan sounds like Borat with his sidekick Franco the camera guy?
