Any of you guys use any other additives/bud boosters? I know most just rock MB, but heard of people using other additives like drip clean, silca blast etc... Just curious if anyone else is using any additives. Me personally use the 7g/gal MB,drip clean, silca blast, and Orca myco.

I use the MB, ph up, and have been using liquid kool bloom for this run to see if it actually makes a difference, i will switch to powder kool bloom in the last couple of weeks of flower. but normally I just use the MB and ph up, no silica, cal mag or any of that.

Hopefully, This kool bloom stuff isnt just something else for us to buy, and it actually does what it says its supposed to. I can't seem to find anyone on here using it with the maxi. I will post some results closer to the end of the run.

True true, the silca blast is because ive been experiencing high temperatures in my room and makes the plants more tolerant to things like that. Drip clean is because om running blumats and it keeps salts from building up in my medium.

I use the powdered KoolBloom at 1/4 gram per gallon during the 4 or 5 days before flush and same here Tyga, Silica Blast for stem strength and heat/disease/pest resistance and Drip Clean to help with and salt build up in the medium and in the blumat lines. Not necessary but easy, helpful additives.

Everything I currently use is tap water, MB, Silica Blast, Drip Clean, pH Up and Down, KoolBloom and bleach for the blumat res when it starts smelling funky. In the past I have also used SM-90 (good stuff) and Clearex (waste of money) with MB.

I hear ya man, I run pretty high heat too, I didnt know that silica would help the plant be more tolerant to that, i mean i know it makes for some crazy healthy plants, I've been gifted a few cuts from someone who uses silica religiously and those stalks are solid. Now you got me thinking I should substitute the ph up for silica blast or protekt.

Blumats are the shit man, they've been on my wish list for a while now, Hopefully soon. Did you get your's at a decent price, if you dont mind me asking?

How's the Silica Blast treat your res ph? Before diluting, my bottle is over 11.0 ph. I use it 1/4 strength in veg, but it can be harsh on my ladies in flower. (I'm in soil) Seeems to stunt leaf-size, too.

My local hydro shop got em for like 80$ I think they are the same price online. Worth every penny 10 fold though....

A quick question for the Maj. If you don't use clearex I do you flush with strait water? And also was that a 1/4 gram or teaspoon of koolbloom. Thanks in advance.

I flush with straight tap water, clearex is just a little sugar in a bunch of water for a lot of money. With the KoolBloom I use a quarter gram per gallon, I will try to remember and check next time I weight out nutes to see how close 1/4 teaspoon is to a 1/4 gram, I am guessing it is pretty damn close.

Silica Blast will raise the pH, I use it at 5ml per gallon with my tap and MB and I don't have to use pH up.

Sometimes I am high, I have been using it at 1/4 teaspoon / 1.8 grams per gallon, sorry about that, I should have look at my notes first.

ive been rockin the maxibloom for the last year and still lovin it. im never going back to liquid nutes. ro water mb and silicates and thats it. $100 bucks lasts me months for a 12 light flowering and 2 light veg setup. plants in the pics have 4-6 weeks till harvest.

C99 x Sweet Tooth, (narrow fingers) and PokerFace (wider fingers)
Fox Farms, Silica Blast. And phDown.

I bent-n-tied the C-99 x ST branches expecting more stretch. But the Silica Blast seemed to do a bit of stunting. Without the Silica Blast, might not have seen the PokerFace in the corner. (the C-99 are about 3 ft. tall here)

My wellwater is 7.9 ph outta the tap though. Was watching as the phDown did battle with the Silica Blast. Might have been the cause of MY stunting. Wasn't major, but it was noticible.

Sometimes it can be a PITA keeping it simple, lol.

i'm loving my lucas formula! i use half a scoop per gallon on my skunks, and on my c99's i use a full scoop per gallon. i have been having no deficiencies ever. i did my last run 100% organic, and the product was lame in comparison, so i am back to lucas with a vengence!

for me my organic buds were like the organic tomatoes at the grocery store, smaller...they didn't smell or taste any better but they didn't seem to ripen as fast. i'll never go back!

so anyway ive been giving them full strength maxi bloom for 6 weeks then a 2 week flush on my c99's, but now i just bought cool bloom. i noticed a lot of people on this thread recommend it with maxi bloom. my plan is too use it for the 3 waterings during my 5th week of budding, so 5 weeks of maxi bloom at full strength, then a week of cool bloom, then 2 weeks of plain water to use up the extra...

my question though is how much? i had assumed i would use it exactly the same way i use maxi bloom since they are made by the same people, but the bag shows a double strength concentration compared to maxi, something like 2-45-28...and the bag says too only use 1/4 full scoop per gallon?! so what do i do? if my plants are getting a full scoop of maxi bloom do i then go to a quarter scoop of cool bloom the last week or do i use a full scoop just like the maxi?
