What's new

Told gun seller Im a card holder, big mistake?

Prop - I would love to know more, can you send a link or something? I am going to buy my AR15 soon and would love to hear more before I buy.

Nice conversation we are having OB.

ARs are great arms and .223 is a very fast and accurate round, and plentiful. But if you are just getting into this sport/hobby and want to start off with newer tech you may want to look into a SCAR 17 or 16 if you have some cash laying around.

Actually I don't even know if it would be legal there, man California sucks for gun people.

Here is a good but complicated pdf about what's legal and what's not.

hey folks....look into 80% lowers. its the way to go to get a gun and its a nice loophole that most likely wont be 2014 when the anti gun "progressives" want to take more of our rights..

basically you can buy 80% ar15 lowers for under 150 bucks....you dont need to do DROS because its not a complete firearm.

then you take it to a gun shop and get it milled and install your lower parts kits. then you have a compelete lower without DROS..

now you just add barrel and stock and you have yourself a completely legal assembled gun that doesnt require any registration with the DOJ..

im buying a half dozen 80% lowers myself and telling all my friends to get them too.

im also telling everyone i know to buy as many AR15 lowers with bullet buttons and mag-magnets as i can.....starting 2014 they are registering long guns. also SB249 might take effect and if that happens, all AR15s purchased before 2014 become registered assault weapons and you can take off your bullet button and convert it to drop mags!! and add evil black features...

I appreciate what you are doing

but you do realize only the grunts bring arms to bear in an uprising or a defense. Unless you are arming a private security force I don't see a point. Zombies?

I also don't see the need for guns in this "trade"

I'll take a .40 over a stungun anyday.

I once saw a cop stun gun this biker dude at a gas station. The biker dude picked the cop up by the throat and threw him into his own car's windshield. The cop then pulled out is gun like he should of done in the first place.

My point being, most criminals if carrying a weapon carry a gun, not a stungun.

Be careful out there.

I'm with you on not having to kill others though. After hearing all these horror stories about that fuck awful stand your ground law it makes one rethink their means of self-defense.

Lemonbud- When you fill out Form 4473 and get to question 11 A. answer YES, B through L answer NO.......the dealer is the one who will refuse sale if answered differently.....FBI NICS check is for criminal background........the "FEDS" never see the form unless the weapon is used in a crime.......trace goes from manufacturer to wholesaler to dealer to buyer.
Perjury is a stretch as it would be in the same boat as the violation of your medical records.

Prop, might want to check, but if a licensed gun shop finishes a 80% receiver into a functional weapon, they will have to do a form 4473 when they return it to you. Dremel tool, and your good to go.

yea..no link needed check out calguns dot net--centerfire rifle forum...

basically you can still buy a regular AR 15 lower and do DROS, i would do this anyways since if you are law abiding and dont have felonies its your right! for lowers hit me up anytime on PM il show you best brands...AR15 are like barbie dolls for guys, so many diff options and accessories.

an 80% lower i can get for 160 shipped, it comes with custom engravings too! im getting some with SF giants logos, but you can get any...PM if you want info on the guy, you have to register at calguns and make an account to contact and buy from him..

regular 80% lowers are only 120 bucks or so....but i like the custom shit..

for AR15 if you are on a budget, mega, stagg, CMMG, daniel defense, are good solid brands...

if you got a little money to burn..go with noveske, LWRC, BCM, christenson, etc..

and for accessories MAGPUL is my favorite brand...but Bravo company makes some kickass bolt carrier groups and charging handles....

if anyone has gun questions feel free to drop me PM i love to educate my fellow folks on the 2nd amendment....

who the fuck needs to actually kill someone? Isn't scaring someone enough to piss themselves enough?

On a stretch of land nothing is better than a pack of huge dogs.

we will be the grunts...im not worried about uprisings....this is for SHTF scenarios and self defense, to protect my family and property. if the world economy collapses and the supermarket shelves go bare, you WILL have to defend your property and possessions from looting, especially if you live in a populated area like the bay area...

up north on the mountain, its mostly for peace of mind and hobby...also for future investment, in a SHTF economy guns will be worth more than any paper cash, gold, etc.....if you have a nice arsenal of AR15 lowers and ammo you can barter and trade for food, medicine, labor, and hot daughters lol...

guns are def necessary in this "trade" especially if you grow outdoors...there are bears, cougars, rattle snakes, poachers, rippers on meth....guns are DEF something that helps sleep at night out here in the darkness...i would hate to rely on just a baseball bat and a stungun if some tweaker on a methbinge stumbles onto my property looking for a quick ripoff....45 ACP and hes going down, and then we gotta worry about rubbermaids, cement, and the local lake lol instead of worrying about your family getting a notification you were killed by a burglar..

they work for indoors too...my friends warehouse had 2 guys try to pry the door open. the worker let off a few rounds of .22 at the door....the rippers were scared off and no cops were called. now shooting someone inside your "trap" house thats a whole different story..it comes down to going to jail or being buried in a cemetary..

cops are nazi's, remember that.

Florida cops kill innocent man at his own home

Hearing a knock on his door at 1:30 am, a perplexed Florida man answered the door to see what kind of unannounced visitors were outside. Holding a gun for security, 26-year old Andrew Scott was instantly shot dead by police after he opened the door.
It took the Lake County Police Department an hour and a half to realize they had killed an innocent man.
“There’s things I would have done differently, but you never know when you wake up out of a sleep and somebody’s knocking on your door,” a neighbor told Fox 35 News. “You don’t know what’s going on.”
The police had been searching for Jonathan Brown and an accomplice, who had attacked a man in the street and attempted to smash a cinder block on his head before being stopped by a passerby. Being pursued by deputies, the attempted murderer escaped, and Florida police began their search.
Seeing Brown’s motorcycle parked outside of Scott’s building, they quietly approached, refraining from announcing themselves outside of the wrongly suspected attacker’s door to avoid scaring him off. Upon seeing the man’s gun, the police opened fire, leaving multiple bullet holes in his door as they killed the innocent man. Neighbors awoke to the sound of gunfire and screams from the victim’s girlfriend.
“I was in bed and heard about seven or eight gunshots. Got up, looked outside the window, by that time you heard a woman screaming,” a neighbor told Fox 35 News.
After realizing their mistake, police found 31-year old Brown in the building next door and arrested him.
Neighbors said Scott was a nice guy, and find the mix-up a sad mistake. The police department says it would not have opened fire if the man had not been holding a gun, but neighbors want to know why the authorities didn’t identify themselves at the door.
But Scott was just one of many victims of police pursuits each year. In the U.S., innocent bystanders account for a third of those killed in police chases, according to USA TODAY. Each year, 360 people are killed in high-speed chases. While Scott was killed in another manner, his death shows the level of carelessness sometimes found in police departments while pursuing a suspect.

lol, you will be one of the first to go if, god forbid, SHTF. No one will follow you just because you think you are leadership, and not a grunt. In fact, military guys don't like power grabs, they earn their ranks. Guns are a very important part of the American citizens life. Right now the constitution is being dismantled, and guns are a big part of that.

Guns have a place in all aspects of Americans lives, just have to be responsible. Remember, it is a God given right to defend yourself, no government can take that away. Doesn't matter if you are defending the world largest pile of pot, that is still your right.

Ironic, as we talk about our gun rights some nutcase goes off and kills a dozen people at the Batman movie opening.
Why was the only person at the theater with a gun the nutcase?
At least the media isn't jumping on the gun control debate, most agree more gun control would do nothing.
And most like OrganicBuds and Hash Zeppelin here need to realize our gun rights are not going anywhere. Radical gun control is not coming.

oh I dont think radical gun control is coming at all. Americans wont let that happen. civil war would happen first.

It doesn't mean I am going to shut up about the importance of gun rights or any of our rights for that matter. ever.

just have someone "legal" by the gun you want from dealer then private sale to you. best way to do it
Kinda the same as just buying from a private non-dealer citizen which can be done at most guns shows and online classifieds. You don't really want to be asking mommy or a friend to buy a gun for you.

"oh I dont think radical gun control is coming at all".

Good to hear Hash. It's a right-wing myth, one of many.

No I agree, you must talk about the issue to keep it known people care. But with well over 50% of all citizens being gun owners we definitely have the war won.

Even with crazy shit like in Aurora happening.

FYI- Straw purchase puts you right in the same position as perjury, except two people are involved. ATF "Fast and Furious" operation not only was attempting , used loosely , to track weapons , another goal was going after "straw" purchasers and dealers.

Stay armed my friends.

Exactly. More evidence that the government, liberals, Marxist, Communist, progressives all seem to want more gun control. The question isn't if they are trying to take and control guns, its how will they try to pull it off?

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe the 2nd amendment is going ANYWHERE. But I do believe it is under attack, and 4 more years of Obama would put us in real jeopardy of loosing these rights.
