Recent Interview On CNBC:

"I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election.

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971 - before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took one (1) year or less to become the law of the land - all because of public pressure.

Congressional Reform Act of 2012

1. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 12/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women.

Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

That dude looks like Cornel Sanders to me.

Ruinning credit. Sounds like we are going the way of Europe. Its too bad we have been spending all our money helping out the rest of the world, while half of the country hates helping at all, and now we have to put out a hand. Im sure that this is a matter of money lost in Iraq. You know that all that 911 bullshit is is now being respent in Iraq and the middle East. You think that Iraq didn't have infrastructure before we bombed it off the face of the earth>>?

And then you have him go and throw out Social Security. If you don't think the gin in the white house doesn't linger in the oval room for a few years you are out of your gourd. Its the war hungry old bastards left over from WW2 that supported the Bushes in their war on Iraq. And now they have left us with a system that won't pay for itself. The only congress that should be paying for social security are the ones who voted for it. Lets just use our guns for the sake of beating on the Bin Ladens and get over the fact that we are not holding the world hostage.

Our efforts at war are expensive and the rest of the world is profiting on the fact that we import most of the foodstuffs and household goods that we used to make. Lets face the fact that there is nothing to tax in America except the rate that we increase the price of cable television advertising to sell crap grown in china or mexico. Fuck the old guard republicans. Lets say suck the new school left and fall into a little know band of believers called the Mericains.

First thing this guy has said in a long time that makes a lot of sense.

Some terrific ideas, no way the elite will give up their perks - regardless of what the little people want.

B/H could actually pay all their corporate taxes due - that would help.

Death penalty for dirty lobbyists and their bought and paid for elected officials. Public execution.

Campaign promises legally binding - under penalty of death. Watch potential candidates go completely mute.

Kill ALL the lawyers.

LOL @ Buffett.

That reform bill would never see the house floor. Just as crazy as his Munger buddy calling gold a "barbarous relic that Jews sew into their clothes".

Gold is such a 'non-productive asset' that central banks around the world (mostly Asian) are buying it hand over fist by the ton.

Buffet is senile and his 'market' hasn't existed for over 20 years.
It has become a pit of HTF algo manipulation of fiat pumped dreck.

Don't you know if you do those things you'll chase the best and brightest away from running for office?

That's assuming we are already getting the best and brightest. Not likely. Most of these politicians today are "lifers"- been in politics for many years already. This is the problem, "Business as usual"!

Everybody thinks Buffet is so great. Guy is a crook just like everybody else at that level.

You guys remember the pipe line that was suppose to carry oil from Canada to our refineries? Keystone XL pipeline?

Around the same time you remember Warren Buffet was in the news talking about how rich should pay more in taxes, furthering the left agenda?

Wouldn't you know it, the pipe line deal got shut down. Now all that oil is being put on trains and railed to our refineries. Much "dirtier" way of doing it, not to add expensive.

Who do you think owns that train company that landed the oil transport deal? Warren Buffet.

What's sad is people will call out the other party for everything they do wrong, and defend everything their party does even if it seems wrong. When will people learn that both sides are corrupt, and big government has taken over.

Yeah but did you also know that because of the expense of transporting oil there is an unnatural surplus of oil built up in the midwest that keeps gas prices there low because supply is greater then demand? Had Keystone XL been allowed the first thing on the agenda was to move that surplus out of the midwest, down to the Gulf and then out to the world market which by the way was also the intended destination for the oil from the Canadian Oil sands per the CEO of the controlling company in testimony to congress.

Had Keystone XL gone thru and they moved that surplus oil out of the midwest the gas prices there would have shot up over night and it would have impacted the farmers (the biggest consumers of gas in the midwest market) that supply most of our crop foods, in a big negative way. Of course they would pass that onto the consumer. So ultimately Keystone XL would have been bad for all of us and would not have translated to much lower gas prices for consumers in the US like everyone hoped and politicians were leading them to believe.
