Im actually using Fasilitor, and a couple of their boosts along with H&G coco this round as well. Im an idiot and read the label wrong, thought it said 3-5 ml per gallon when it really says 3ml per 5 gallons(never seen a nutrient dosage labeled for 5gal). So thinking I needed to double dose to stop stretch, I ended up giving them almost 6ml per gallon:bashhead: I actually did this the first two times I watered with it this week before catching the error. I was wondering why I went through 1/4 of a $200 bottle in a week.
Anyway besides some slight leaf curl, my plants look great. They got noticeably a lot bushier and bigger overnight after the last fasilitor OD, and they definitely have not stretched as much as they should have at week 1 of flower. Im looking forward to see what a difference this stuff makes, that is if I dont kill them first with my amazing powers of lack of observation.

idoreallytry- One good growth quality that the GSC brings to the table is her sturdiness. I actually wanted to trellis and more than likely will next round, but it would be more for even canopy control compared to helping with the floppers. And yeah I was counting on the Fasilitor to help manage the massive stretch.

headees- Ouch that's an expensive goof up. But you also said 200 dollar bottle, so what size are you using 250 ml? If so I think 200 is a surprisingly reasonable price, from what I've seen, as I think online they sell for 277+tax. Anyways glad to hear even that high of an amount didn't completely ruin your run, let us know how things finish. I gave close to a double dose yesterday, 4.4 per 4 gal, and tonight or tomorrow I'm going to 4.6, then a finally 4.8 around day 21, then back to 0.6 per gal. I'm content thus far with the Fasilitor as a stretch control product and overall plant health stimulator.

brotherindica- Always good to have good folks along for the ride, I hope to push this girls as far as they can go...with sexy love.

Game Theory- Thank you very much for the compliment. I do try to give them what they need, so in turn they can return the favor. Stay tuned as it's just getting good...

Hope everyone is having a good day. I'll try and snap some new pics soon...

Up.

I'm seriously contemplating heavily defoliating these girls at day 21. Top 1/4 won't be touched, but I'm thinking the bottom 3/4 are going to get thinned out.

Those girls look PLENTY healthy, so I'd say some defoliating may be a good idea. Plucking a few fans here & there could uncover more lower bud sites. Especially since you put in the work to heavily S/C...keeping 'em short w/tightened nodes.

Just my :2cents: though

Lump- always good to have another cookie fiend giving input. I have been using Aptus to control their stretch and as much as it may have helpped, these girl are natural born stretchers. From day 12-18 they grew approximately 5-6 inches, which by most accounts is normal, but not with GSC. I think they would easily hit 10+ inches in the same time frame without the Aptus, but that could also be the placebo effect ya know? Anyways I only REALLY double dosed them twice, (which Aptus suggested by their site in order to control stretch) so I can't say it was a really a controlled experiment. Next round I may test some and not others to see if there really any truth to this...some expensive experimentation. Anyways today is day 19 and I believe they have a few more days of real stretch left then it's like you said where they slowly creep up. So far though everything is just about right where I want it height wise.

Smoketrees- I hear ya, but one thing about this strain is almost everything is popcorn. And I actually prefer some larf as I prefer small buds to leaf when making my extracts. Best batch of Cookie Dough (wax) was made with popcorn buds and the smell and taste transfered, and I just don't see that happening even with the best coated sugar leaves. I may still try it on one or two to see if there's much difference, but it's also something that's hard to judge until then end. There's just so many variables, like it's place on the table, that matter so much more than if I de-popcorned it, if that makes any sense.

Dr.Dank- Once they get their legs I'd say they are very vigorous. Some people are saying they're slow to veg, but after about 6-8" they seem to blow up. Even the ones I put into flower at 8" are now closing in on 3.5 ft! If you put one into a 12 gal an flipped it you'd be looking at a beast of a tree, kinda like what LVMcGoo posted in the GS Cookie thread. I wouldn't have flowered a girl that big indoors, but it seemed to work for him. But if you have the space why not? Anyways always good to have you stop in my friend, I hope all is well with you and yours.

BrotherIndica- Thanls for stopping by and I do think after seeing them get more and more bushy that they need some opening up. I'm now thinking of leaving the top 1/3 and taking the bottom 2/3 pink stemmed leaves. I love that the fans' stems turn colors as it's easy to find, the same thing occurred with my sourstrawberry girls, and a heavy defoliating really helpped them. My only concern is they haven't really been plucked beyond a bottom clean up before being transfered. I've always been told by older folk to consistently pluck or else the plant isn't use to it and can cause shock. I'm hopping they are healthy enough to just steam through it. Maybe I'll add some B vitamins the same day.

Anyways I'm happy to hear any and all input. Peace.

Day 21

Day 21

Thanks for the kind words fellas, I always like seeing quality growers stopping in.

So many may think I'm crazy for this, but I'm not fucking around anymore...I DEFOLIATED THEM FIERCE. I'm talking (4x) 5 gal buckets full of anything with a pink stem under the top 1/4 of the plant. About 20-40 leaves off every plant. I did leave 8 undefoliated that were the biggest on the outside of one table, as well as the smaller 16 in the two back rows.

I wish I would have taken pics before and after, but I've been too over worked, underslept, and dabbed out to do much of anything lately.

Anyways I know what you're hear for...
