Who's adding other stuff with Head/Rez/Lucas 6/9?

This round I'm using Rez's feeding schedule, but I'm adding in a foliar program with Dutch Master's Penetrator and Liquid Light. I'm thinking about some Neem or Maxicrop too but I think I'm just going to follow the recommendations from Dutch Master and see how it goes. I'm going from seed this time so no real side by side, but I'll be running my favorite female from this batch from clone next time, so I'll do some real tests.

hmmm...

hmmm...

simple g! been a long time since i chopped it up with you. :D i basically follow h3ads regiment to a t with a few exceptions...

-when rooting cuttings, ill add a little rhizotonic (at half recommended dosage) to my half strength mix, just to get roots going in the right direction. ph 5.6

-during veg, ill add 1/3 recommended dosage of liquid karma sometime during the middle of my veg period, and tad going into flower. i basically use it sparingly, and space its use out at intervals as i see fit. i have witnessed plants looking noticeably more vigorous and healthy with its application, but am weary of using too much as i dont want to compromise tasty, clean burning buds for plants that are cracked out on a ton of additives

ive never bought liquid karma, as a friend who stopped growing donated two large bottles to my cause at no charge.

-strain depending, ive added some sort of bloom boost, whether that be liquid kool bloom, the powdered form, or simply an increase in gh bloom, during the plants noticeable, earnest (nicked that phrase from h3ad too :D) bud formation. my ppms almost never go above 1100 at any point of the plants life cycle.

-i use a barley based pond enzyme (basically a much cheaper, concentrated form of the stuff yall are buying at the hydro store :D) throughout the life cycle of the plant. there was a really good thread on these types of enzymes here at icmag, and the gist of it was that its the same stuff, only cheaper. nute companies basically water they re enzymes down, add, i dont know, yucca plants to make it sound exotic and then charge you an arm and a leg for it. why? because they want your money, son! :D ill link the thread if anyone wants it.

and thats it. i handwater as much as time permits, with minimal run-off and im very happy with the finished product--as are most of my friends. :D i began my growing experience with the ASK LUCAS thread and that left a lasting impression on me. less is more! additives really only complicate things (often times) and serve only (IMHO) to cater to the growers sense of well being.

good genetics, a simple feed, lots of love, and these plants will reward you for your endeavors.

peace all!

I made a semi-organic version of H3ads Formula with similar NPK. In my side by side results were the same as far as yield but taste wise 5 out of 6 of my friends thought the GH version was the organic and liked the taste better.

I like to taste just the flowers, too... imho the flavors that organics 'adds' are not the flavors of the flowers, but of the organics.

That has been my experience... that's why I was asking for with/without result comparisons. If something super additive-wise is out there that works as advertised, I haven't found it yet...

Question for the crowd. Running 6/9 + 7.5ml CalMag + 5ml Hygrozyme + KoolBloom boosts.

I'm at day 32, cutting down/out the Micro now. Master Kush is supposed to go 60 so I need to start flush 10 days prior, day 60, according to the recipe. When should I cut the CalMag & Hygrozyme? Also, how should I flush? I use a wick/bucket & that will take 3-4 to dry up. I could just keep adding ro water to dilute out the res. Also, this is a coco-mix that came w/ all the guano & organics additives.

I would cut the calmag same time as micro. 7.5ml of calmag is adding 44ppm of N which is increasing the 6/9 from 97 to 141.

Other option might be to use carbonate based Cal and Mag for later in bloom, such as General Hydro's new product CaMg+, which contributes no N. I've seen some Kush strains have particularly high Cal and mag requirements, so dropping them too early might reduce potential yields. Note that the calcium to magnesium content in this product is ~5% to 1%, different from the Botanicare CalMag which is closer to 3% to 1%. Alternatively Botanicare's new Organicare line has cal and mag separated into Calplex (3% Ca from calcium carbonate), and Huvega (1% Mg from Mag sulfate).. good if you have a strain that especially craves one or the other..

but what exactly are the differences in your own personal results with each additive vs. without?
:tiphat:...I know this is an old thread but I gotta chime in!
I've got a 'sweet tooth' (the cut too) and CANNOT pull the full spectrum of flavors, aromas, terpines etc. with the 6/9 alone. IMHO it leaves behind nearly half of the genetics 'true colors' so to say.
The yield certainly doesnt seem to lack ANY nute reg. I've ever run, but 3 OMRI listed feasts is where I find, ...hmmm?... Maybe secondary compounds? I forget the word I'm lookin for, but essentially all I'm really saying with 100% confidence is that the organic feeds are as important as icing is to the cake! lol ...(IME)

I've ALWAYS had a desire to pull the best qualities of synthetic nutes and organics together, and use the specific benes from each, at the appropriate times, to achieve maximum quality and quantity.

My favorite supplements?
1st: My 'RhizoMaxxx' witches brew! Hehehe! (Is that name taken?) It's a 500 ppm brew of Hormex, Superthrive and GreenFuse Root Stimulator top fed over a pinch of ZHO(Mychs n Trychs). I also like the GreenFuse Bloom, Roots Organics Extreme Serene and their Buddha Bloom. I certainly dont use ALL these on one crop, but rather rotate supps to find the best net value.
Lately I've been running the full FloraDuo series plus Drip Clean, Regeneroot and an AquaShield feed once or twice in bloom.

*I will say I tried a 1/4 compost + 3/4 coco mix with great results using only 6/9. Ran pH from 6.0 down to 5.7 by final week at 900-1200 ppm. Easy, effective and excellent results!

~ALL CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM VERY MUCH WELCOME AND APPRECIATED!!!

Since I spouted off all these LOVED yet HATED products I'm playing with, (mainly due to BOREDOM having only about 3 minutes of work a day w the 6/9 servings,) two impressive products were unjustly left lingering through my mind like: "Yo muthafuckoo! We're both top quality products yet we get no love?" ....Sorry guys, but it's your job to serve my bitches 'n SHUT THE FUCK UP! XD
S.O.S (Super Organic Stimulator) & The Allmighty Hygrozyme.

If your running a 60 day strain and watering every three days or so, then i'd cut the micro out right around the 6 week mark. maybe a few days after. By day 50 you should be watering with straight RO until the runoff is as clear coming out as going in.

As for when to cut calmag and hygrozyme.... I usually cut it out completely by week 4 of flower.

good luck

gh 6/9 (orange and brown)
floralicious plus veg-flower until the last 2-3 weeks
bud candy for about 6 weeks in flower

I started using floralicious plus about 12 days into a flowering cycle. Within a couple days roots started popping out of the sides/bottoms/tops of my pots.

I have been using floralicious plus on some of my outdoor plants (weed, tomatoes, flowers...) and they have been going nuts.

I just mix a 25% strength batch of my normal indoor fert.

5 additives I would not even consider doing a run without...regardless of base nutes

1- h&g Roots excelerator, I use it for keeping slime away in my cloner, yeild decresed approx 10-25% when I have switched it out for cheaper products such as kangaroots etc. just improves all around early vigor and has a place in my own regiment.

2- Humic acids from just about any source....I tend to prefer the liquid karma because its got some seaweed in it also just an all around plant health enhancer. floaralicious+ is nice due to it's concentration and application rates but my personal preference lies in liquid karma

3- Agricultural Organics "Yellow Bottle Bloom" "FINAL"...this stuff just rocks in all catergories, used in weeks 6-7 of flowering it solidifies lower popcorn nugs, increases overall density and oil production, appears to act as a bud hardener also...I mainly am interested in filling out popcorn and increased oils.

4- Silica, for reasons stated above(stronger branches, resistance to stress in extreme conditions, resistance to pests etc.)....and crazy composer claims it as his secret ingredient...I have seen many benefits of silica and will continue to use it.

5-molasses or some molasses based product....not much to say about it another than quality of the finished product is always greater when i use molasses, the trichs have a more oily glassy look and are more pronounced....smells and flavor respond well in my experience.

Holy thread revival..

I keep it simple because I'm using blumats and dont want to risk humics or molasses clogging/ causing sticking in the small 3mm line.

I've had great success running 6/9 + Grotek Pro-silicate (to make em' damn tough plants) and then I add BloomBastic my 2nd half of flowering. I'm also using drip clean at .5 mL / Gal. Might give their roots excelerator a shot in the future.

whadeezlrg, Karma just isnt want it used to be in my opinion. Doesnt contain near the amount of humic acids it originally did. If you can get it in your area or online I'd check out Nectar for the Gods Zeus Juice. Straight humics...is dark and thicker similar to how karma used to be.

2- Humic acids from just about any source....

people need to know.. not all humic is equal. you are actually better off using fulvic, the fraction of humic that is not dependent on pH.. and of course it goes on to the qualities / sources of the humic... what I would recommend:

-tera vita Sp-90 humic
-bio-ag ful-power

---------------------------------------------------

I keep it as simple as possible.. who likes shaking / opening / dosing / pouring / mixing / cleaning measure tool / screwing caps back on / putting away..

-1 or 2 shots of silica through flower
