But.... things will be changed up a bit from here. I've ran sealed w/co2 in the past, but never with a split AC so this should be fun. I want full control over the environment without having to vent. So with the 36k split, the sante fe, and a co2 generator I should be able to focus on other aspects of growing. I'll be sealed and just running a 14" Max on a Can Filter 150 for odor control.

I'm sliding over to the other half of the basement 11x16 and plan on doing somewhere in the neighborhood of 8000w... not sure yet on lamp configuration as I've got both 1k and 600w lights. Should I be running a vented room it'd required 2464CFM to exhaust twice per minute...thats like two 12-14" Fans. I'm not sure how people normally achieve this in a basement...or much anywhere for that matter. How do you discreetly exit a structure with 2 14" ports? This basement is glass block with no where to vent period... In other places (ranches) we'd cut a hole in the basement ceiling to a bedroom closet above and then to the attic/roof. Not sure what to do in a 2 story house so sealed / co2 is the route I'm going.

I'm close to $6000 invested into this next run already, but should be worth it.

God what I would give to have a basement with 10' ceilings and a bit more room...great job FF, this is one of my favorite threads that I lurk in....your tempting me sorely to rip everything out and rebuild using this as a model.

i too am new to the vert game and so far it is blowing horizontal outa the water. nothing better than looking at a f*cking wall of colas. i'm running circles around 1k's with 1k's horizontal on light movers above everything. its rocking it man, now i just gotta get the blumats and i wont go crazy over constant watering anymore

Hey all,

Well total yield was 8.5 lbs + a few ball jars for the dome.

I'm finally getting good yields after having grown for nearly 10 years horizontally averaging around 1-1.2lb per 1K. This grow was around 1.7lb per light and its a dead simple setup ta boot. You really cant go wrong just dropping HID lighting down into a circle of plants. Blumats + coco and its about the simplest route to KISS results that I can think of.

Unfortunately after having just transplanted my next round of girls into their new pots and in addition to dropping some good $$ on equipment upgrades, I cut em' all down.

A few nights ago my friend's buddy got popped. Nosy landlord snoopng around saw the meter spinning like a clock and helped himself in (not sure if the fool didnt change the locks or what....but called the cops. They showed and sat out front while a warrant was obtained because dude wouldn't let them in. I'm not really sure of the details but do know the dude didn't get arrested that night, but rather went in voluntarily the next day for a "sit down". Its possible that he didn't get arrested that night because his lawyer supposedly was on scene before the police made their way in, but who the fuck knows. Entire thing sounds sketchy to me. (no news, no court dockets yet, nothing..)

This guy doesn't know my address and has never been to my house, but does know my full name (went to school together) and is aware that I recently moved to a particular rural area so I'm not taking any chances...at least until I hear an outcome and shit blows over a bit. Rather then roll on his friend that set him up I might be that guy he tries to sing on. Its pretty safe to assume he knows I'm into this shit based on my friendship with his buddy and other growers.

Kinda hard to explain my situation without revealing too much info but.. survive to grow another day ya dig? He's not the only one near to me that has been popped within the last year so it just kind of feels like the time to take a break. Been at it 365 for some time now. Time to give the mind a rest.


Thinking about building a grow trailer while I take some time off. Don't feel full if I'm not growing or building so I've gotta do something to keep me from going crazy.. I got tons of gear needing put to use thats for sure.

I'll be around.. I might fire back up here down the road, but ultimately it'd be nice to find a secret location that nobody knows about and set it up auto w/blumats.

Safety first FF, I always hate to hear someone got caught. Glad to hear your harvest went well at least. Grow trailer sounds like a great project to keep you going in your down time. Be sure and share the process with us if you decide to go that route.

Right on man nice yield fo sho. I forgot to ask last time but what is the size of your circle around each bulb? from center of the plant at the main stalk, to the bulb. Thanks

And yea I don't blame you.. its like driving with a little beer buzz, its just not worth it if something dumb happens and you get pulled over. Best of luck man

Sorry I missed the post about the plants shittin out excess CO2 and RH they didn`t metabolize during lights on FF......

That`s all I meant was that they get rid of what they didn`t use during lights on during lights off , cuz humidity spiked my Hygrometers and the CO2 spiked my CO2 monitors EVERY lights off period for yrs till Heath showed me about major air exchange twice per minute......and....

Freedom means EVERYTHING Bro.....Whatever it takes to make your head feel safe and secure , and if it means shuttin down I feel yas.....

Hey FF. Happy you yielded more than you were expecting. Sucks about shut down, but as everyone is saying, better safe than sorry.
