High guy's,

I been gifted this winter with some beans of "Butterscotch Hawaiian F2" Butterscotch afghan x Hawaiian

This spring i was curious to know what that gens hide. So, i sprout 2 of thoses. I found 2 females very similar. 1 a little more stinky than the other one.

I plan to grow them outside in my crazy climat ^^ They already seems to be super tough against that high temps!

So guys, every advice/comment is welcome. Even if you used to the F1 version. :peacock:

Thanks.

I always wanted to grow this one but shy'd away coz reef listed it as an indoor or warm climate strain, so they should do well for you.

butterscotch hawaiian is actually a re-named Godbud x LUI, a very nice indica hybrid

yes that is the female side of the equation, I actually crossed it with an ibl male from a sativa leaning ibl with hawaiian heritage, which would explain why there are some crazy sativa phenos in there.. a few years ago I grew around 250 of the original F1s and pollinated the best ones with a stellar F1 male and am going to continue to work the various phenos into their respective lines, but of course these things take time

Hi c-ray

I've wondered what the lineage on that one was for a long time, thanks.

I wish there was a 'c-ray seed co.'.

Sweet.

But make things clear. My butterscotch hawaiian have any reference to the god bud!

the original butterscotch hawaiian f1's are 25% godbud
there was a small batch made after the first ones ran out which were jordan's godbud cutting x butterscotch hawaiian f1, which would be 75% godbud
the second batch was pretty obvious because they were low vigour with fatty leaves

Can I say this? Puna Buddah is the same genetics, or very close. Dont get hung up on Hawaiian pedigree from most people, they dont know. Thats a fact..
Grow it out, tell us how it is, let the world know..
Hawaii growers are just that GROWERS.. No breeding for the most part. HOWEVER, we do have the world best genetics here, it all gets turned into bud..I know I live here :)

Still thanks guy's.

Ok c-ray i think i got it! And btw that make some senses, because the reef was not very specific on the hawaiian parentage.

alls i know is i made the first cross using the godbud clone and a highly selected male of LUI, direct from breeder steve when he was in CH. i also had his sweet tooth #3 and shiskeberry#3 at that time. i gave some seeds to a friend who was working for/with reef, who grew some out, indoors with great results. reef recognised the quality and proceeded to reproduce those genetics and added them to his list. i recall he used a burmese male to hit the Swt#3 and Skb#3. but with the god x lui, he got his sidekick Lucifer to make f2's and then they came up with the whole butterscotch hawaiian story to not piss anyone off... not that steve or i cared. around the same time i sent breeder brad the god x lui seeds and he ran with them, calling the cross " Godzilla "

the explanations I just gave are 100% correct.. I should know, I was there, I made the pollinations and my memory is crystal clear and complete on this matter because this is something that is very dear to me.. I made f2s a few years later after, but only for my own purposes, because I wanted and still want to turn it into some ibl's not because of any other reason

btw thank you for providing those seeds

no worries, thank jordan and breeder steve for the parents. i did sift through many males, to find the ultimate LUI, which i feel greatly contributed to the very high quality of the godzilla line. i did my selections in a large, backyard acreage outdoors and used the lui pollen on a indoor grown god clone. worked well. thanks for clearing up your take on these wonderful genetics c-ray and keep up the good work !

Ah, now that explains the super lanky male BH I have. I just collected a bunch of pollen from him and put it in the freezer for future projects.

Nice Dan. Save the pollen. I had a coon or something find my seedlings outdoors. They tore a bunch of stuff up. I dont know if the 2 BSH made it. I did see some G13 x BSH still doing well. I was really hoping to find good phenos to make some seed.
