Budbox or homebox, which is better?

Homebox is better than budbox, but the new homebox growlab is better still.
Dark room tents have more vents and access holes, but make sure its a DR and not a DS version.
No tents are totally lightproof.

secret jardin intense is the best, but spendy. Actually, I like secret jardins regular(non intense) line better than all others i've seen.

I use Secret Jardin DR Tents and like them enough to own five of them. A 4x4 goes for about $220 and real nice zippers and well made.

Are the Homebox's still good quality, with strong light proof zips etc., even if some prefer the Secret Jardins?

I just ask because i like the dimensions of the Homebox better.

I bought a Holland Forge Sea Hawk tent previously and it has light leaks all around the zips??

Thanks. :)

Yes the Homebox has strong zips and good quality material.
Homebox has some new modular ones now too that can be zipped together to make a bigger room.

Thanks Harry.

The main thing i was thinking about was light seeping in around any of the seems or zips, as that is the problem i had before.

You would think that the first thing they make sure of is that no light gets in or out. That's the main point of a tent isn't it? :dunno:

You should be OK with a homebox or a dark room or a green room..... Most tents(even ebay cheapies) will keep your plants in the dark enough to flower them successfully, but with just about all tents, you might see the odd chink of light peeking through when the light is on inside and you look from outside. The main thing is that the inside is dark when lights are on in the room where the box is placed-get inside and zip it up to check. A tent isn't exactly stealthy, so a bit of light round the seams/in/out vents isn't really that much of an issue IMO where security is concerned. If you need stealth-build a growdrobe
How you put it together makes a difference, if you are rough you may split seams etc.

Thanks Harry.

The last one i had was a pretty tight fit around the frame, so i might have stretched it a bit. I just thought that it shouldn't be very hard to produce a light tight tent, with flaps that cover all the seems or something. And also not make it such a tight fit over the frame?
They seem like amateur mistakes. I was very disappointed.

Actually, I prefer the tight fit over the framework. My GL is a much tighter fit than my SJ, and it seems to help make the tent more stable as a result. My SJ wobbles all over hell with a heavy fixture, fan and filter mounted in it.

Homebox and Secret Jardin where the only 2 company's that did not use out gassing materials back when we where having all the out gassing issues. Allot has changed since then but HB and SJ are my top picks for tents.

Well, i guess i didn't really have a problem with it being a tight fit, just that the seems weren't made well enough to survive the tight fitting without getting damaged. :frown:
