Frost

It is Frost time. Where to put these plant that should get 8 to 10 ft tall. I picked a place next to the green house that you can almost see the horizon and the tip of Mana Kea(13,000 ft volcano) so they get max sun. Here is a shot before and one after some tree clearing with pots and boxes getting placed. Aloha View attachment 169648

Soil for the Frost

Soil for the Frost

Now with a name like Dirtboy we got to have the dirt. I believe different soils give different tastes so I have 4 different dirt's I play with bur my favoret one is volcanic cinder mixed with old cane dirt. The dirt is mixed equally with red and black cinder,I call cinder Hawaiian perlite. I screen the soil and put it on top of a layer of black cinder about 4 in thick in the bottom of the bucket for good drainage. I mixed all my ferts in and let it cook a month. This is for the Frost that goes out side. The one that will be in the green house will be put in 45 gal pot using a Super soil mix with Down to Earth as my base mix. This will be my first summer grow using potting soil. View attachment 169655

Baby Frost

Baby Frost

Her are the girls and boys. They are at 16 days old and taking off.
I transplanted them into 1 gal pot today the roots were just starting to make those balls in the corners. I put Super soil in bottom of the one gal and filled up with Down to Earth. They will be loving life when they hit that fert. Out of the 5 i hope to get 3 . One will go outside in a 65 gal 2 inside in a 45 gal and 30 gal. I'm living this summer.
Aloha

alright my friend, things are looking killer!! beautiful spot bro, she likes the sun and the rain :) i like the way you are doing the different soils. i usually just use some of the used promix for the outdoor, but i like to do it with cinder and chicken shit tea. i am definitely sure that there are different flavors coming out of different soils. i had a freind that used to use 30 year old macadamia nut husk mulch for his regular and pakalolo outdoor garden. he would mix it with cinder and regular soil and that shit would go OFF :) bananas and pineapples for days :)

good luck bro, i hope she does you well, either way don't be afraid to post the results up here. i have some going now too under veg getting ready for a late long season put out date, aloha brother, you take care!

alrighty then, just put out a few mamma frost clones the other day to see what they can do for the rest of the summer. transplanted them in 3 gallon containers for now then gonna put them into the trashcan bins when i harvest the ones from those. i put one sickly mamma clone in the ground about a month ago and she is still alive and starting to thrive so we shall see.

frostlings are doing great and are starting to take off in veg. aloha to all you people out there!!

You get em HaWyn. Show us some shots of the mamma. Is she a MILF? How are the worms and leaf minors for you? The little Frost are loving this weather easy doubled in size. Should be sexing in this next month. One more thing are you a Checkers & Pogo or Captain Honolulu fan?

hehe :D i never answered on the other site :) i am a later checkers and pogos guy bro, they were still on just about when i could understand and then they were gone :) some of my earliest memories ;) capt honolulu was a little older than me...i remember Capt Pow!! where you could call into the TV show and say "pow...pow pow pow...pow" and shoot down the things falling on the tv screen :) not too ole but ole enough

i gotta get a cam bro. i dont really do mommas as i have been having trouble with white mould and fungus gnats so i do more clone from clones. but, i will take a pix next chance of my mamma frost outdo...i have a BKxsensistarfrostX(schromxfrost) that i put out at the same time that is on its way to blooming while the mamma has barely put out a hair still small but good to go. ok bro, you take care!!!!

i haven't dealt too much with the bore beetles or leaf minors for now but i am trying to get my outdo to start blooming while they get out so those fuckers don't have much time to fuck up my plants lol

here's the mamma and the bkxsensistarfrostXschromfrost. the BK cross is smelling super sweet, very interesting. they were put into the ground at the same time. pix are tagged so you know what they are.

lastly is a pix drop of my creamy smelling plant. she is a trianglekushxsensistarfrost. she is a little finicky like how the mother was when i had her, but dialed in right and she is a nice tasting stoney bitch. she makes up the bulk of my medical outdoor grow and should come down by end of July, like last year ;)

aloha everybody and have a fantastic fucking weekend!!!!!!!

Looking really nice! I know what you mean about the green house, the only big difference for me was the PM it got washed off out side so I have to be more on top also the ones on the back side less air flow get it more. I'm still working the kinks out. Bra I must say your strains look great. I was reading what you wrote about TK and it is like you guys are talking in another language, I really feel like I've been living under a rock for 20 yrs oh well I'm out of the closet now. I ended up with 2 Rhinowrecks. The Frosts are fucken unreal Bra. One has a little duck to it. Mahalo for all the work you've put in to make it easier for me.

mahalo bro! it is definitely a fine line to walk when using the GH, on one hand you are right that i would probably have less problems with WPM (although i haven't seen it on them yet, but i have had it on my indo before in same area), but on the other the rain doesn't pound the buds like they do when it gets raining hard here. i get pretty good ariflow here so i am hoping that helps :) this brings me to another subject. normally i am a grow it under mother nature kind of guy, and the frost is pretty good at that, but if i want to grow anything indica that i don't want to have to work with for a while outdo, then the GH is the only way i can finish them fully i believe. i have not had a real GH before, but i had a friend that had one the size of my house and he used to grow all kinds of shit in there :)

the TK and this particular cross are WPM whores. at least that was my experience. the TK was my favoritest OG. i have personally grown a couple different ones, and have tasted most on my visits to the mainland. the biggest difference for me between OG and all other strains is the mouthcoating dankness that lingers way after the joint has been smoked. good till the end of the roach and you can even taste it after in teh roach. my friend that hooked me up with almost all the clones i got sent used to say that with the OGs you can even taste the flavor when flossing your teeth a half hour after smoking it lol. i would like to have kept that one, but my gnat problem helped me lose that and the pre98bubba, and bunch of others. the TK cross i have now isn't as flavorful, but at least i saved something, as i am no longer willing to get sent clones as that was a different time in my life. now i just grow from seed and keep the ones i have that i like. overall bro, the internet is full of drama, if you find someone that you can trust and be open with about the true nature of the pakalolo then hang on to those dudes. i met a couple that i keep in touch with every now and then, and one just blasted up to the top of the scene right now. i made a straight cross of the TKxsensistarfrosts that i hope were mature enough when i took them to make it as i got rid of the male already. if it comes out i give some to you so you can have an idea of what the TK is somewhat about.

i liked that round of rhinowreck crosses that i took those beans from bro. the taste was pretty good. alright on the frosts my brother, she is the one that really opened my eyes to the world of pakalolo and still does me good today. i thank those that gave her to me and had perfected her long before i stumbled along to trudge thru the strain lol. you take care and she loves rain too bro lol.

Hawaiian Got rained out to day and got to take a good look at the Frosts. Dam Bra ! What have you given these Roids? In 12 days they were rooting through the 1 gal pot and the leaves are like my hand at 1 ft tall 3 out of 5 have full on duck. No signs of sexing, hope in next 2 weeks I can sex them. One Rhino showed male and both have purplish stems.
Rhino's look great but nothing I have TGA, Heath,GGG hold a candle on how these Frosts are growing. I think I could be a fan. I will get some pics before to long. Aloha

LCVOr Not sure I just lucked out by being on the right island at the right time. Flyin will be back and can probable answer your question. Their are some more Frosts shots under Strains & Hybrids, Molokai Frosts [ Motarebel] is what the posts said. I will get some pics when it stops raining long enough to see the sun.
Aloha Bra Happy hunting

F&S aloha. not too sure where all da bomb old skool strains went but honestly i am not missing them one bit. i have enough to make many different variations with what i have so onward and forward i say, imua.

LCVOrganics aloha. i'm not sure where you can get Frost beans bro. i know s-a-n-n-i-es used to help mota sell the Frost cross but i am not sure who has some Frost beans to give out or god forbid, sell lol. the Frost is out there somewhere :)

Aloha brother Dirty! solid, i like to hear stories about the Frost kicking ass lol. she is the best outdoors. she will most likely outgrow the duck stage brol the leaves' fingers should separate accordingly. yep, the rhinoscrosses throw purple stems, some might even have purple/black buds, but that is from the TKxSensiStarFrost father's sides in the genes. the rhinowreckcrosses i made from last round are all crosses of themselves. they should taste pretty good bro, i liked um, i plan on doing an all rhinowreckcross grow after the long season :D aloha!

shit is moving on. frost in ground is getting bigger even with limited light. plant right next to it will have to be pulled a couple weeks early if the rain keeps pounding. thank the gods for the GH! none inside are even showing a hint of mould. no rain on top of buds is a beautiful thing. now just gotta watch for the rippers. aloha people, have a greatmuthafuckingbeautifulday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
