ok, got a few updates... added real wattage to a couple of BlackDog arrays, the BD360 and the Platinum XL...

Does anyone know if I can replace the charts I have in POST #1. I don't think I can

the two attachments in this post were the only two spreadsheets requiring updating...

ALL PDF CHARTS ARE NOW IN POST #1 OF THIS THREAD

Hey y0 everyone :) i had a long break in checking on this website but ive never stopped growing hiehie >< so i looked thru this topic and everyone seems to be happy and satified with led lights :)

I have 2x HGL 21xpro i made a mistake but i did use them first time to grow 8 autoflowers the yeld per plant was small but the overall yeld was about 1gpw and i have to say quality was outstanding so there is only one thing to complain about the price :)

Im up to buy more leds i was also thinkin about DIY (especially after seen the riven's masterpiece) but i would like to meet with your opinion about diferent manufacturers :)
How everyone know HGL are radiculus expensive comparison to other retailers is it worth it to buy it and have extra awsome lenses and expensive led lights or there is no diference beetwen HGL and other cheapers manufacturers :)

THE PROBLEM IS HGL has a perfect marketing i was studying marketing and I know how it works on us... That is my concern becasue i see they have made comercials as u want them to be that makes us believe yes i want to pay more for it.

THANK you for any response

VerdantGreen is a big fan of HGL and does great using them. Search for some of his LED grows you'll be very impressed...

A lot of others refuse to do business with that company. a search of google 'HGL Cammie' will shed light on why.

Which one is the best in your personal opinion :) but on the other hand im really keen to make led light myself hehe but i need to calculate it first.

Personally, my choice is Lumigrow. It's a shame that they have discontinued the ES165, but if you have room for a fixture that is 48" long, the Lumibar looks very interesting. It is also passively cooled, which is a huge plus for me. The other company that looks interesting to me is California Lightworks. I like the idea of several of the Solar Flare models spread around to get better coverage, rather than a high wattage fixture that has too small of a footprint.

Just for the record, my replacement SolarFlare BloomBoost is working like a champ 48 hrs. in. Still miffed it took 2 wks for California Might Works to get me a new one, not good customer service imho when the original was dead in the water upon arrival.
Grower's House reached out to make things better by offering me the Lumibar @ cost, but I was already reaching $-wise w/ the SolarFlare, and another $300 to swing the Lumibar just wasn't in the cards this time around.
I don't think I'll be buying another commercial LED light anytime soon.

rives, I have some interesting news. I am speaking with Rob @ LumiGrow (guy I have been dealing with for weeks). I've sort have been pestering him about shrinking the lumibar and it looks like it has paid off.

You (click to change)
have you guys shrank the lumibar yet?? :D

LumiGrow
you now have a 330w unit with 5w diodes.. dont look at it
we are talking about shrinking it!

You (click to change)
omg
seriously?

LumiGrow
keep checking back at our site or even send me email/call any time. I would be delighted to keep in touch

Sounds good, Oneshot. I've spoken with Rob a number of times, and he seems to be very interested in input from their customer base. They need to be - if the Lumibar was 2" shorter, I think they would have sold a hell of a lot more of them into the 120cm tent market.

Moonwalkr1 - that looks like an interesting fixture. I'll be interested to see some more information on it - I don't see how they could balance the Bridgelux LEDs against the 10w Crees. 10 watts with 90 degree lensing seems like it would demand a pretty healthy separation between the fixture and the plant to avoid bleaching/burning. Have you seen anything on the wattage and lensing on the Bridgelux portion of the fixture?

I also got that email from Advanced LED about their new XL light. It looks like a nice new light, and it has those new 10 watt diodes. I didn't even know they made those. From the writing, it sounds like this new unit has a square design to entice all the tent growers out there.

i have a couple of welthink wex-c150's. currently i only grow veggies and herbs with them, but they do well with seedlings, clones, vegging and flowering...

but as others have stated the Lumigrow stuff and EVO is supposed to come out with a V4. I also like the concept and design of the OVNILED Snake 42W

Thanks GP73LPC, I'm happy to be a part of the community :) I will post pictures and my grow notes thus far in another thread tomorrow.

Rob from Lumigrow told me a press release and more information on the pro series will come before or after the weekend of the 20th, when OFA Short Course is going on.
