I'm stoked to have her in the garden :tiphat: You got any W91 bangin? You need to start a thread over here. I don't hit up the other site after the problems...

MH - Yeah man for sure!! How you been? You get everything back on track?

Veg - I hear ya, I work with some minimally-hybridized lines too, and there's def fun in that. But burk is beggin for a facial, and I've got a nice sativa in mind. It's goin down.

Sad to hear that hybrids will be made with Mother plants that come from STS hybridization.

This might be a totaly nube question, and I tried to find the answer with no prevail but " What is STS hybridization" and what are the pros and cons of this method. thanks for the learning experience in advance!

Please don't hybridized to the Burkle clone..it's an Elite x Elite feminised terminal hybrid...Bless. Hard to believe it's been almost 7 years since the Burkle came out of seed...

im curious why you say this... could you clarify your thought process behind this.. my line of thought goes as follows "if you got bomb genetics, pass those genes on..." better yet isolate genes and select what you like...

not trying to start anything, especially in cob's thread (MORE PICS COB!)... i just really would like to know your reasoning behind this statement...does your reasoning have to do with the exclusivity of the cut?

Chief, sts is a method of forcing a female plant to herm and produce pollen. Some folks are of the opinion that working with those methods, or breeding with plants that were reversed will harm the global canna gene pool. To each his own I say. If that were the case maybe Nspecta shouldn't have done the cross to begin with? Or working with s1 cuts like the 91, og etc...

Thanks for all the kind words fellas, more pics shortly. sistre is about finished, and I'm really excited to get that gal down $. She looks really special.

Boombap. I ride the fence on the breeding of females that come from STS. you win some and you lose some. In any case I am sure ol cobber has the best intentions when it comes to making those seeds. plus that guy will has one of the harshest eyes for selection, no joke.

Hey Cob, I suppose I should've said something in private..

Now especially since you mentioned Nspecta and his intentions..They were to grow large seed lots out and pull cuttings from them. That's what we did with the Burkle...

At that time 50 Urkle x Bubba , 50 GDP x Bubba and 30 Mendo Purp x Bubba made it to flower when this project happen we thought GDP and Urk were same clone but still kept the labeling separate. The Burkle clone came out of the GDP/Bubba lot and was the #2 out of 50 females that made it to flower.

The piece isn't locked down or exclusive at all...

I would just keep back from breeding with parent coming from STS hybridization because they are engineered crosses in the first place..Then to further polyhybridize - Yes I'm sure there will be incredible plants but what will their genetic quality be? You have to understand that the further and further we get from how it was back in the day , Mexico X Kush type true F1 ...the closer we will come to breeding IN to these plants lack of resistance for disease, bug, weak structure etc., ALL in pursuit of the finest drug specimen...And so like Moths to the Flame we continue this delicate dance of stewardship..

I meant no disrespect bringing up nspecta, it was more of a rhetorical question I guess. Like using any of the OG's in a project.

I understand where you're coming from, and I've put in my time growing landrace plants over the years. IMO if a plant had undesirable traits like the ones you mentioned then it's not the best plant to breed with. But just because a potential mother was bred using reversed pollen I do not think that means she contains and passes on those undesirable traits by default. If the Burkle as an example was a weak plant then I would agree it wouldn't be suitable, but by my estimation she's rock solid. Then again I chuck pollen for head stash, and my own gratification so drug qualities are what I'm aiming for, not a stewardship of all potential traits contained in the species. If I was trying to preserve wild landraces it would be another story but I don't have the acumen nor the resources for that kind of thing. I can only hope that my gear is flame, and people get drawn in.

It's all good man, I'll treat her right :D

Grit - Nice dude, sounds like a bangin line up... little get together this week, I'll holler at ya.

Those cocksucking bugs really fucked my yields, so I'm REALLY lookin forward to getting everything down, cleaned up and movin on. Think I've eradicated every living creature outta the veg, so hopefully I'm good to go in a week or two.

Anyway...
Gritty WIFI! Lovin her although my yields suffered a lot.

Very nice Cob. Sad to hear about the PRxDC... I think she was my fave in your group this run. Did you get to burn any? Wonder how much the DC dominated the Panama Red... in the flavor and effects of the high. Glad your getting a grip on those cocksuckers.

Can't wait to hear the smoke report on the new gear too.

Im about to clone some Arcata T- Dubb and Abusive now that the moms are big enough... finally... cot damn. Azamax fried the shit outta them, don't know why, used it plenty times before... maybe has to do with it being 18 months old??
