Drying should be universal, 150w or 1000w. I dried mine for 6 days before they went into the jar. Slow, but not too slow. Some say between 10 and 12 days to dry, but its all over the place. Depends on your conditions of humidity, and temp.

Takes me a week on average. Even then, some jars have to be burped regularly to avoid mold. It easier to leave buds hanging than remembering to remove jar lids for ~10 minutes, every other day.

If you don't have a hygrometer, dddaver's trick works. When small stems snap as opposed to bend, it's usually time to jar.

WET A Q TIP ON BOTH SIDES AND STICK IT IN YOUR BAG OR YOUR JAR OF DRY WEED AND SEAL IT FOR 6 HOURS OR LONGER TO ADD WETNESS BACK TO YOUR DANK.

:woohoo:
I read once you should hang until you can snap a small branch, not just bend. I've been going a week, but I think that's little long.
you can pull a week no prob you just need a dark place with small amount of humidity no to much or it could cause mold and bad smells.what i have been doing to slow it down personaly is drying about 3 days then puting into a bag and burping it every few hours then pulling it completely out of the bag for a few hours then back to the bag or jar or what ever you got! but i never have liked super dry bud i always moisten my sacks up a tad bit with q tips and water.its all about preferance.

I rigged up a big rubbermade type container with intake holes on bottom and a pc fan on top to pull air over the buds. 100cfm fan takes 5 days for stem snap dry 6 and their almost too dry. Will try to remember to snap a pic tomorrow

I've been using the same drying method for almost 20 years now and see no reason to change. Here's a pic of my last harvest hanging, and a post from several years ago in which I described how I do it...

:rasta:

Clip the small buds from the stems, trim them up a bit, and then throw them in a regular brown grocery bag. Keep the bag inflated, then fold over the top and hold it that way with a couple of paper clips. If you want to speed up the process a bit, use a standard hole-punch and put two or three punches running down each corner. Keep the bag in a cool-dark-dry room. Give them about a week or a little more and they should be good to jar. Works perfect!

Alternativly, you could hang entire branches or even whole small plants with the buds still attached. This just takes more room and is far from stealth.

I'll look for a pic or two and post them later.

Here's one, still looking for the other.....

Pipedream, love your cab, and find it amazing what you do!! I have a question for you. I noticed in your cab build, that your 150 is stationary. Do you leave it that far from the bulb, or do you raise and lower your bubble buckets to get proper light? Just had t ask, cause I noticed that it was really far from the bulb.

The shelf is adjustable, but I often have different sizes of plants going at the same time so I will raise each one as needed. All I do is place an empty container under the bubbler bucket to raise it up. Nice and simple and allows for much needed flexibility.

Happy 4/20 to all !
