Hello Siomha thanks for stopping by. The ladies are growing pretty well and healthy. I set up my scrog last night and topped the Ultimate and the Blackwater. I'll post up some pics soon.

My biggest concern at the moment is where I'm going to put all these clones

I really don't have much space anywhere to store them while they grow roots and get ready for the next run. Also since I don't want to veg them any longer I'm thinking of setting up the hps and flowering asap. I'll maybe take the clones in a week which shouldn't be too bad.

So I'm leaning towards defoliating some of the lower fan leaves and lower bud sites. It's harder to tell in the picture but the canopy has definitely filled up and it's practically dark in the middle.

here you can see the scrog as well as how much these girls have grown, can't even see the floor :dance013:

pic came out brighter than it actually is down there.

top view of the Blackwater, she's been topped and now got to get a few things together before I can hang the reflector and the hps and get the flowering started. I'll be giving them a period of 24hr darkness to prepare the ladies.

Finally put up the hps and the flowering has begun :peacock:

Gotta improve airflow around the hood now that it's in. It gets pretty hot in there pretty fast.

Thanks a lot methods. I'm more than satisfied with the way the CFLs have been working with vegging. Very simple and energy efficient as well. :tiphat:

Heading into week 3 of flowering now. They're currently in the stretching phase, might have to top a few of them before they get too tall. Bud sites are now forming and plants are looking healthy as can be. Adding Big Bud to this flowering cycle to see how it improves yield. Heard good things about it from people that have used it.

Are you making a second cabinet for the clones with the CFL's you had?

I can't wait to see them after a week or two.

** BTW - if you can, turn your HPS hood 90* (degrees) and your bulb will be more efficient for the closet you are in. Since the bulk of the light is coming from the sides of the bulb, it would cover more canopy.

they're finishing up their fourth week into flowering now and budding up just nicely :peacock:

I've actually acquired a 4x4 tent so once I find the space for it I'll be finishing the flowering in that tent and probably use this current closet to veg with cfls. I'm not quite sure what you mean by the hood tilting perhaps some further explanation would make me understand lol maybe I'm just too high atm. Anyways on to some pics, sorry they were taking in the dark and some came out blurry. I'll take better pictures soon.

I'm confused about your cfl's..You said 10 6500w, was that a mistake? I have only found thenm up th 27watts. Am I buying the wrong kind. These came from Lowes, took a bathroom fixture for 3 lites and put double fixutes in them to run 2 bulbs each, thus 138 watts. I made another double set up. 2 fixtures, double 27 watt bulbs, thus 324 watts. Are my bulbs a different kind than yours. Please explain or tell me what I am missing. :dunno:

the 6500 is a measure of lumens, not watts. General rule of thumb is 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower

Hi Seedlin, E.L. patient's got it right. The 6500 is the color temperature in Kelvins. 6500K is a white/blue daylight color while the 2700K is a yellow/orange/amber color. The wattage on each bulb is probably no more than 23-27watts each so I'm guessing you bought the correct ones for the vegging stage. Hope that helps!

It should be marked either on the bulb or the box. If you can't find it anywhere all you have to do is plug it in to find out whether it's the 6500K or the 2700K by the color of the light.

and The Ultimate, in my opinion smells the best/fruity

This is the last time you will see my ladies in the cramped little closet. I just finished setting up my 4x4 tent and have moved them into their new home. I will take new photos in their new home along with my new setup. As for my closet I will be using it to veg my next round of clones that show roots.
