126x3w LED tent grow

I called the people at lighthouse and they sold me my bs 240w for a pretty nice price including shipping. Less than amazon list price. I've ordered stuff from china before and they tend to have below avarage quality and support is horrible. I remember I inquired on those leds and they would bombard me with emails trying to sell me other products. I look at their spectrum list and its scary but if they work I may purchase 2 for my next grow. I ordered a led from china once and it gave me a half dead plant near flower lol. But that was in the 1watt days. I hope this light works.

Btw do they still let you custom build panels?

Yeah you can get custom panels made. Whats wrong with 440/470/525/640/660/740nm spectrums? It's the same exact spectrums of the HGL lights.

The rep I bought it from hasn't emailed me unless I email him asking questions. How long ago did you contact them? Quality on this seems really good. I am hoping it has good results in flower though.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't want this to come off as offensive. I am just basing it off my personal experience with eShine. I wish I knew about contacting lighthouse directly though :D I am going to use the 240 in my small tent.

No worries mate. So it was around the same price as the BS LED? I want to see how it compares. Did you buy the standard version? Or did you set custom wave lenghts and numbers?

I'm not going to lie these blackstars seem to not do very well for veg. Hoping to see results during flowering.

Too expensive for what risk?

It was cheaper than the Blackstar 240 (before shipping) I bought from Amazon.

Amazon seems to jump back and forth on free shipping for items over $25. I just waited till I saw that and ordered my BS. Got it for about $295 delivered, recently.

Distance from light seems to be a big factor with those. Got mine about 10" from the light and the girls took off.

Hotter then I expected though. Think its because my cab's in a closet. Still need to use my loud Vortex fan.

Decided to take the plants out from under the LED's to really check on their health and green. Also got the good camera out.

My favorite plant. I decided to name these Boston Berry as I am not 100% sure on the strain. They are so fruity smelling.

I am pretty happy about the health/growth. That's all for today :tiphat:

I might need suggestions on fungus gnat control. I was doing maintenance on the plants and noticed something flying around the tent. I had my apt windows open though so maybe that's where he came from.

Anyways, what can I do to prevent this? Hang bug strips?

Edit: It could actually be from my water liner in the tent. Will be cleaning that shortly to make sure!

Edit 2: Cleaned water liner in tent. Drying currently. Will disinfect with wipes after it's dry. I also put about .5" of fresh Perlite on top of the buckets. I didn't see any other bugs except that one so hopefully it's just me over worrying!

Hopefully it's just you over worrying, fungus gnats are a real pain in the ass. I know for soil, one of the best ways to control and eliminate them is to let the top 1-2" of soil dry out between each watering, FG's love wet soil. The second is to use mosquito dunks by crushing them up and mixing them in with the soil. Or by putting the dunk in the water so that your treating with every watering. Best to do both with soil. Fly strips would do quite a bit to help with the ones flying around.

You can find mosquito dunks in just about every big name chain also you can usually find a good deal on amazon.

sweet. I will let them go another 24 hours and will check on them tomorrow. I did smell what smelled like rotten leaves though on a plant so I pulled those off. They were the very first leaves when the plant sprouts.

Mind telling about how much you spent for the 126x3w shipped to the US? I'm down to the e.shine or cidly appollo 8. I'm thinking cool white, 660 and 740 to mimic the Evo leds.

I believe it was around $350 shipped.

The 4G lights are out though. I am planning on getting some of those for the next grow. It's either 3 of those 60x3w 4G bar ones or 3 Evo50 v4. I haven't decided yet.

Had to kill a plant tonight. Was the first male. I'm not too upset as it actually will free up some space in the tent.

Stem was nice and thick. I love how thick it is where the branches meet the main stem.

Roots went deep and were completely packed in there.

Pretty sure it's in the genetics to turn purple. During the last month or so in flower I believe is when it really turns it on.

Do you have any pictures of the two tents side by side? Also i have noticed in you're pictures you are not using any of the intakes? They all look closed. Also when you do sex them are you going to reveg them?

The intakes have flaps over them on the inside. If they didn't they wouldn't be light tight. Plenty of air goes through them still.

Unless you are talking about something else?

The 2nd tent isn't running currently.

No to the reveg, all of this is going to be finished by June I am hoping. Next run following this will be Cannabiogen Peyote Purple, PCK, and more GDP.

Yeah i ment the two 4in or 6in openings in the back. Those are meant for intake by using ducting. The flaps do work, but having the ducting works much better. This could also be the reason why it bows in on you. I brought up the reveg cause i personally would let them go another 2 to 4 weeks once you figure out what sex they are. From watching my buddy use leds for the past 5 years, one thing i have noticed is you need a longer veg time. Since typically the growth is slower and they stay shorter and bushier with tighter nodes. Either way, its looking nice man. Peace
