My room mate just ordered one of these I can't wait to try it.

Damn, we will be wanting pictures of you using that one bro!

I received our HMK last night (thanks HMK), and will be setting up panel comparison of the HMK skillet, the Ko Domeless Nail, and the AT oil well with Ti skunk wand, using various extracts.

No other device manufacturer has submitted their devices, so we will limit our review to those three systems and publish the results on our site, as well as the dozen plus forums that we frequent.

Of course we will have to do extensive pretesting ourselves, so I have two more retired skunk pharmers lined up to help with the preliminary testing this afternoon. More on that tomorrow! Hee, hee, hee.............

make sure to season the titanium up well if you are looking for a flavor comparison. in my epxerience it takes many uses to get it to full niceness. whenever i use a new piece, i transfer my old ti plate.also insert a tight fitting screen in the bell if you can.

Thanks for the purdy pipe with our name on it bro and for the heads up! The TI wand's flavor changes with age too.

Starting later this morning, us'n skunk pharmers will dutifully try our best to build a nice alpha case and season the skillet before the panels get to compare the flavor and utility of the three systems. It would be the kindly thing to do!

I'll pick up some larger screens first. Mine are all too small.

What is the purpose of the screen in the bell? I usually use reclaim to season.
I think the Hk's curve will have the best flavor, I just switched back to my skillet and it has more taste that a nail. I was pondering this subject last night over amber rips. With the nail all of the delicious vapor is drawn back over a really hot nail in tight quarters, don't get me wrong, the dome and nail are def. cleaner. On the skillet the bell just naturally catches the vapors that want to rise off the ti.

Oh yeah GW, you gotta try a kettle curve sometime.

the screen has a couple benefits. it eludes me the initial reason i put one in, might have been to catch reclaim, but it does a couple good things. it seems to me that when a screen is in, the hit is much smoother. whenever i hit a unit without a screen i feel it a bit harsh hit the back of the throat. i guess the screen somehow diffuses the vapor some.makes it not a solid vapor stream. also, a screen promotes reclamation to take place in the curve, rather than in the water chamber. most people prefer their reclaim dry. a well designed setup will have almost 0 reclaim in the water chamber and all in the curve. i never save water claim, and there is not much to throw away anyway.

I don't save any reclaim (that shit is nasty), but I will try the screen.
My bubblers mouthpiece is way too small and builds up claim in a couple days, I wonder if I could torch the mouth piece and blow through the other end hella hard to make it bigger. The mouthpiece comes off.

Damn guys these are some sexy pieces! I have a basic dome with a glass nail on a basic 18mm tube and it puts me on mars, I would love to find out where to obtain A HMK bubbler/curve. Where do I sign up. I really would like to see the difference between ti pads and glass nails. Does size matter 14mm or 18mm?

its a freaky adaptation of my titanium oil curve swingarm setup. everyone just has to be different, but sometimes its just for the sake of being different, maybe not an improvement.

tubular dude!

I have been smoking and growing weed for a long time and I do not know what the fuck these things are or how to work them. They do look cool though. I gotta say though I don't like the metal doohickeys attached to the glass doohickeys, screws up the clean look of the glass. Never made oil, maybe I'll make some from my next harvest just so I can buy a star trek peace. I can't believe I'm so old I don't understand a smoking utensil. I really need to research this oil thing. I've smoked it but we just brushed the inside of the blunt wrap with it.

Ok, here is the system HMK whomped up for usn's to try out and we will be posting more about it as we present it to volunteer patient test panels, along with a KO Domeless Nail, and a AT Oil well with skunk Ti wand.

We of course can't unleash anything on the innocent and unwary, so we always make it a point to thoroughly test all new equipment ourselves, and I can tell you that it works slick.

As you can see from the pictures, it is an artistic functional form, that looks like something from the 60's and 70's, sloomping through a Dr Seuss's garden. As I understand it, HMK is the function and his sister is the artistic form behind their aroma therapy artwork.

As you can see, this one has our name on it, imbedded in one of the knobs on either side, which makes it both ambidextrous and handy for passing.

The goose neck is detachable, with a ground taper socket attachment, and the stem extends down into the water reservoir, where it has been formed and perforated to make a diffuser.

In general it is a matured design, that reflects evolution, and has hidden charms. For instance, it is the only system that is at the perfect height to just set my butane torch beside it, instead of having to hold it.

The whole system is petite, minimizing internal surfaces to lose oil to, and skillet is about the right size to hold enough heat for me to get a couple of hits per heating or to share with someone else.

I added the recommended screen at the snauze end, and thus far no reclaim has made it past the goose neck.

Before testing it ourselves, I ran the skillet up to cherry red and let it cool about four times, to build an inert nitrogen and oxygen alpha case, before dabbing it with oil. After some use and runs up above 750F to turn the deposits to CO2, we developed a nice seasoned surface, without the metallic sharpness of fresh Ti.

All five skunk pharmers testing it thus far likes the taste, regardless of what their preferred system might be. Here are some pictures:
