i still have over half the hao i made in the freezer. but like i said i like the effects best from eating it, but the cinnamon is just a bit too over whelming to be enjoyable to eat. i wonder if i should cook it some more in a water bath to help the cinnamon taste get weaker?

I make pills out of it.
I mix it with powdered oatmeal and make canna-pills out of it. Not a sublingual, but it gets it into your system without the cinnamon in the mouth issue. :D

Awesome thread GW! Lost my Grandmother to lung cancer and my Dad to prostate cancer in '09, then my Grandfather to colon cancer in 2010. Wish I had found this earlier. I'm gonna make this for my RA and my wife's chronic migraines and will report back.

Hello Gray Wolf,
This is a wonderful resource you have provided. I have a few questions if you don’t mind.

1. I have some oil that I made using ISO. I followed the basic Rick Simpson method, but used ISO instead of naptha. Will I be able to use this oil to make the oil you describe here?

Why do you use BHO instead of an easier process?

2. I have been using this oil for skin conditions, such as moles, burns, and even cuts. It has been effective, especially with burns. I simply smear the oil on my skin and cover it with a bandage, re-dressing it every day until the cut/mole seems to be gone. How do you use your oils for this sort of thing?

3. I would like to find a sublingual spray that is fast acting (many people describe these sprays as working almost instantly, and follow the same onset trajectory as smoking or vaporizing), and am wondering if you have advice for this. my previous attempts were not successful--steeping hash in glycerin for a month.

Thank you so much for all the time you have put into this!

Hi,

I'm new here and am enjoying this thread, but I must admit to a marked degree of confusion. Plus, I'm writing from a little village 20 kilometers outside of Hue, Viet Nam that isn't stocked with all the ingredients I've seen others on this thread using.

Plus, I'm a pragmatist. I liked the story where some guy asked Rick Simpson if he thought his oil would cure hemrrhoids, and he gave him a glob on his finger and said, "I don't have to tell you where to stick this do I?" Apparently this cured this guy,s long time problem.

My bohemian, reprobate father in law just got out of the hospital for the 3rd or 4th time from drinking himself into total disease. This time he has the beginning stages of diabetes, with leg rot starting, but not yet ulcerating. On past visits here I might have been willing to just watch him rot away, but this last trip to the hospital has at least slowed his drinking down to a slow crawl, and perhaps the realization of the immanence of his own death has mellowed him to the degree that he's actually not too bad of a guy and/or he would at least be a good test subject for the healing properties of hemp oil.

So, I know how to make the Rick Simpson oil; have done so in small amounts and used it for experimentation, though I suffer from nothing at present, disregarding a very bad attitude about the dysfunctional way this planet is spinning. I know I can get olive oil here, certainly cinnamon in some form, and probably even myrrh. And if I can get the cinnamon and myrrh in liquid form, what's to prevent me from mixing it all in correct proportions under low heat and calling myself a medicine man in a half hour or so? I guess what I don't get is the 10 hour cooking time, or the deoxyribocarbonixyzation (sp?) process. If the cinnamon and myrrh come in some leafy, barky, natural form, I can see having to cook with water and oil for some time, but otherwise, why?

Also, this recipe comes from the bible and I'll be treating a Buddhist man. This won't kill him, will it?

And this isn't a governmentally compassionate country. I don't think they execute you here for drug offenses as they do in Singapore, but I'll be putting my ass on the line for this old drunk. I don't know how, when, or why Viet Nam bought into the 'Reefer Madness' mentality, but I've heard of some pretty harsh treatment of tokers who've been busted. I was held hostage here in this country against my will in 1968 (what a nightmare!), and I certainly hope it doesn't happen again. If things are looking or feeling a little risky, and worse came to worse, I could go back home where I'm licensed, cook him up a batch of HAO there and somehow get it back to him. Has anybody ever tried shipping this stuff in the mail?

Anyway, kudos to the guy who can give me the simplest procedure for cooking up some HAO with antiquated equipment.

all depends on how strong you wish to make it. if you want rx strength, which is giving the miracle cures, it is a concentrate and must be extracted, which is not hard using a qwet process. then add the essential oils in the recipe ratios given.

if you wish to do it the old fashioned cooked, biblical method using raw materials, it is quite aromatic unless done in a pressure cooker in the oven.

only you can judge if the process is worth the risk for an old alky. no offense, i'm a friend of bill's/

black oil is very hard to mix.

the only process easier the bho is qwiso or qwet. i prefer the flavor and ease of formulation using bho.

sublingual HAO or HS is pretty fast acting, coming on in minutes. i have been playing with spray, however, have not found the proper menstruum. glycerin lacks in solvent strength for a spray and it gums up the mechanism.

for skin penetration, nothing beats topical HAO, but for moles and skin cancer, straight oil stays on point much better. now with respect to systemic uptake, i'm not sure which is best.

1 Yes, IPA quick wash extract will work as well, though it may leave more residue behind.

We use BHO because it is a non polar solvent, which makes it easier to make a pristine extraction, and because it is the cheapest process we've found, as long as we recycle the butane. Basically the cost of ~ 3Kw/hr of electricity and periodic pump maintenance.

We also use denatured and IPA for extracting oil from stems, to use in a topical. When processing large volumes of material, with a low yield, it saves time to just pack the material in a large 10" tea ball and dip it in a vat of denatured, instead of grinding it up and packing it in a column.

2 We just smear HAO Topical on, rub it in, and don't bother to cover it.

For moles, we smear on straight cannabis oil, and cover it with a bandage as necessary, to keep it off clothes, etc. It makes a permanent stain.

3 HAOO or Holy Shit are sublinguals, which start to come on in minutes, as cannabis is trans-dermal. They are 68% and a 62% solutions of pure oil respectively, that have been thinned, rather than a tincture where the menstruum is the major portion of the solution.

Glycerin makes some damn tasty extracts, but glycerin won't hold enough cannabis oil in suspension to make an effective fast acting sublingual or spray.

If you already have the cannabis oil extracted and are using essential oils, no long cook is necessary. Just stir them together above ~180F and you are good to go.

To make it orally active however, you will need to decarboxylate it, which you can do in an oven or a pot of hot cooking oil sitting on a stove top.

QWET probably requires the least amount of equipment, if you have refrigeration available. instead of using a still to recycle the alcohol, just boil it off to atmosphere.

My Native American views are similar to Zen Buddhisim, and the only effects that I could discern, is that instead of seeing one of everything, I started seeing in triplicate.

No thoughts on mailing, but HAOO doesn't smell anything like cannabis plant material.

As a tongue in cheek thought, if I did have any, I probably wouldn't share any illegal shipping ideas I might have on open forum, given the probable monitoring by LEO.

Here is how we make QWET:

HAOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to do this! Wonder if my neighbors annoying dawg can smell the cannabis?

Simple and concise reply

Simple and concise reply

Thanks for the simple and concise reply Gray Wolf. I will proceed with a simple Rick Simpson type extract of the cannabis and mix in the other oils when the last of the alcohol is boilling off. No sublingual efficacy is needed in this case; we just want to see if his legs will clear up with the HAO and I'll leave him some dark green cannabis oil to take internally to maybe help his liver and pancreas, etc. get a bit of healing.

After a bit of searching, we have located in Dalat from some sort of relative, a pound+ (half kilo) of what is described as can sa (cannabis) flowers and leaves for 7,000,000 Dong - about $350 U.S. We've decided to let the old reprobate take the risk by taking a bus, or something, to Dalat (about 14 hours away), and if he can get the stuff back to the house, I'll do the HAO making and we'll get him started. If he gets nabbed on the way back, well, maybe a few years in the klinker might do him some good.

Yes, I find the Native American spirituality and Buddhism have a lot in common as well - spirit is here and now in everything.
Envision the end of the Abrahamic Trilemma!

Thanks for the tip (different aroma) if I do get back and try to ship some HAO over here, but my process will be pretty simple and I'm going to teach some sons and daughters how to make it over here. Much less expensive anyway.

I'm only about 4 hours north of you. Maybe once I get my grow room up and running and start seeing some green, I'll take a trip down there for some hands on experience.

Thanks again.

Completely ashamed now politically for my actions there, but proud to have been with all those other boys putting their ass on the line for a people we once believed in. First time in my life I ever smoked MJ was after the worst firefight I was in over there, ODed, and was amidst a bunch of grunt wise asses who thought it was funny to flick their zippos in my face and laugh while I freaked out. Very serious paranoia on this maiden voyage accompanied by strong halucinations. I haven't been able to smoke since, though I've tried several times with slighter, but similar results. I can ingest the oil though, and like it.

i always come here and read, feeling compelled to add something, but graywolf is doing such a great job, i hardly know what to add. good job, graywolf!

Simple HAO making

Simple HAO making

Hi,

As I've posted before, I'm in Viet Nam and am looking for the simplest way to make some HOA to cure the deteriorating legs on my diabetic father in law. I just saw this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDqTSciUh4I&feature=related and am wondering if this technique would work.

For those not wanting to watch the video, the proceedure is to put the cannabis, oil, and water into a pot and simmer it for an hour (probably stirring often). Then stain into a container, put it into a refrigerator overnight, allowing the oil to congeal on top. Then just take off this top layer of coagulated oil and use it in whatever way blows up your skirt. In the short video, it looked like all the impurities stayed with the water, and the oil he took out was pretty clean. What's it look like to you?

Olive oil works as a solvent but you can't get the concentration extracting with it, that you can simply mixing olive oil with a concentrate.

It will mix at any ration with cannabis concentrate, but as it begins to saturate using it to extract, the process grinds to a stop.

We also don't use water when we extract using oil, and use a press to expell the oil afterwards. We lose some oil to the plant material, but we end up with less water solubles in the final mix.

Thanks for the input here, but I'm still a bit confused.

Olive oil works as a solvent but you can't get the concentration extracting with it, that you can simply mixing olive oil with a concentrate.

It will mix at any ration [ratio?] with cannabis concentrate, but as it begins to saturate using it to extract, the process grinds to a stop.

We also don't use water when we extract using oil, and use a press to expell the oil afterwards. We lose some oil to the plant material, but we end up with less water solubles in the final mix.

Okay, if I started with an ISO extracted concentrate from the cannabis, added measurements of cinnamon leaf oil, cinnamon bark (cassia?) oil, and myrrh oil, and added to this an equal amount of olive or coconut oil and about twice as much water, and cooked it for awhile, what would I lose by a refrigeration extraction of the final solution of mixed oils from the water?

Would some of the THC stay with the water? What percentage of oil would one have to use to keep the extraction process from grinding to a halt and keeping all the THC with the oil?

What percentage of the water solubles stay with the oil?

Would the waxes stay with the oil, or the water?

I'm aware that this process wouldn't render the best sublingual effect, but I am looking for a topical treatment for diabetes damage, as well as an internal medicine that could be easily dosed by the drop.

You seem to be the highest ranking expert here, GrayWolf, so any more input, even if it's a guess, would appreciated. Input from anyone else is welcome too, of course.
