Amazing dedication and skill...you truly deserve to be rewarded in any way for this. Rooms are gonna be cranking out the dank for sure...Its every growers dream to have your skills and also the selection of gear that you as a hydro store owner have. Definately tagged!!

Nice setup. Im a little confused as to how you have this setup. Couple questions. Im assuming these rooms are sealed...? What is all of that insulated ducting on top of the rooms connected to?...a recirculating duct?
Are the small vents in the ceiling blowing down or sucking up air? Whats the big ceiling vent being used for?
I feel like a noob asking these questions, but im somehow failing to see how the cooling system in this room works..

pretty sure the small vents are the supplies and the big one is the return.

That must be the case, and he has an air handler. It's weird placement for the return, or feeds moreso, but it would make the walls far larger to drop em down, plus way more hose.

Shieeeet!!

Bought a digital 1000w ballast a while ago - wish i would've seen this video before. You could easily utilize this in vertical.

This is really turning out to be something bigger than epic. Again thanks for this!

Roy is a great guy to have a party with.:friends:

Yeah, Roy, the rest of his crew at Humboldt Nation, and the guys from Gavita are all cool as hell and great to smoke and party with. Totally wish I was going to Spannabis this year to hang out with them all in Europe, maybe next year. :D

Holy shit I like Roy! I've been telling people that the bigger reflectors aren't better for a while now b/c the light has to travel a further distance before being reflected... And that's why I rock SS2's in my veg.... And then he took the reflector off! SOLD! Maybe they'll just knock the $40 off and keep the reflector? Haha...

I can't wait to get some ROI so I can be more like Smith... I'm definitely gonna try out at least one... Bro, was that you in Captain America? Lol... Just saw CA last night.

Lighting in grow rooms is really starting to make a leap lately, and I'm happy to be at the forefront of that push :D

BTW, I'm totally designing a way to make these DE bulbs have a vertical option, it's just much harder since it has attachment points on both ends of the bulb.

Captain America?? I eat fools like that for Breakfast! LOL :D

Roof Mounted Air Conditioners. Big vent is the return, little vents are the outlets. The outlets are positioned right above each oscillating fan so each fan acts as a booster fan to spread it evenly across the room. :D

Not yet, but hopefully soon :D

I don't see a reason why one would not utilize it already. I mean that there sure is a bit large obstacle covering a part of the light but seems to me that it would still be more effective mounted vertically without the hood than horizontally with it. Any thoughts? Not trying to pick a fight here - just wondering...

If you could see the metal piece behind the reflector, you would see just how much it would block. I'm working on a double ended mounting system for it and see if Gavita is interested in it. I was talking to one of the owners about the idea and he was very intrigued. We'll see what happens :D

I'm curious whether you bought the Gavitas outright or are kinda Beta-testing them for the distributor? The reason I ask is that obviously you would need a megawad of cash to buy 16 of them, unless you were getting a very major discount for getting so many. They're hard to find in the USA and I haven't seen them for sale for under 500.00 each.

I guess, now that I think about it, 8K isn't that much when you're busting 20 elbows a run....but still, you could get almost double the amount of 1K digitals + bulbs for the same price.....

Sure hope the price comes down enough for me to pick up a few because they look like some very serious hardware to this pilgrim.

Bought em. I run a hydro store, I get cost :D

Money is no object to me, Efficiency and Yields are my concern, so if I want the best, I have to buy the best :D

Prices are amazing when you consider the replacement reflector cost over most hoods, and the bulbs, instead of replacing every 3 or 4 months, you can go 1-2 years! At 1150 watts, these have a 6% degredation of light output over an entire year, so depending on how efficient you want to run your rooms, you really only have to replace it every once in a great while. Plus with the micromole output being so much higher then all others, it's an obvious choice.

For example:

The Hortilux bulb is basically the standard bulb for most high-end growers but this Phillips greenpower bulb puts out 15.1% more usable PAR light than a Hortilux does! That's a lot!

Here's the difference between Philips and a few brands. The percentage is how much more light the Philips puts out compared to that bulb.

Hortilux: 15.1%
Ushio:18.6%
Digilux: 22%
Sunmaster: 40%!!!

With my connect speed its taken 3 days to catch up to the real time build grow show and must say it was a great time getting here. Great work A/S, il bet its not going to be long till them clones get huge. Luv the lights too, even though i havent read anything yet and my computer will not let me see any vids, but can see how reflective they are. I cant wait to see the room filled up with them.

Great work Smith, man on a mission, i like it!

Iv pulled up my chair............lets have fun..........thanks for the info man!

Keep er green bro,

I think I read that Gavita/GE will be introducing a single ended 1000w bulb for use in air-cooled reflectors/vertical. I was going to buy a 1000w MH to run inline with two Hortis vertically, but now I'm considering getting a 600w Gavita. Agent-Smith, could you send me a PM to recommend a retailer? Thanks.

Can't PM you, not enough posts. I'm gonna talk to the distributor and see if I can get a group buy for people on this site. Not sure if those are allowed or not here but I'll have to ask around. I can get them, although I'm out of stock right now and the next shipment from Holland comes in 3-4 weeks.
