so the weigh in on the bubba scrog was 45 grams! - two of those in the cab and i would be close to the 1gpw i hope to eventually get out of the bubba - which would be awesome as its regarded as pretty low yielding. i think there is plenty of room for improvement yield wise on it as it yellowed a little early this time. the quality is amazing. so far the bubba has been better grown under the LED than the HPS. more terpenes under the LED for sure.

ive just made my first colloidal silver machine as im worried the bottled stuff i got wont be strong enough. hoping to get some pollen off the bubba and my shark1 cut too.
im not usually one for crossing crosses but i have a strong compulsion to do a fem cross of bubba x cherryjuana VG Kush.... anyone?

Yep, that looks absolutely killer. Solid work with the Bubba sir, 2oz for a tiny screen like that is hardly low yielding!

You said that it looks like it has more trichs than the HPS version, hows the size by comparison? Have you seen more color shift than from HPS? I ask because my friend whos running LED is pulling way better color than I am..

hey terpene, i'm not sure about more trics but the bubba is defo more aromatic under the LED (its still lovely under hps too though) . some of the colour in bubba isnt temerature dependent but some is - so perhaps the temps get cooler under LED at your friends. i dont think bubba really likes bright light so try backing off the lamp a bit. the top buds tend to brown quite early if they are in too much light/heat. bubba has big leaves and plenty of them - thats usually a giveaway that they like a bit less light.

GP - thaks man - yeah 1gpw from bubba would be as big an achievement as 1.5 gpw from some of my higher yielding cuts like the shark1

forgot to mention i got a dozen or so seeds from the Bubba x Cherrybomb so a bx might be in order...

yeah the Cherryjuana is potent! this pheno is quite reminiscent of the heri- the high is similar too but the CB has added a subtle 'soaring' sativa vibe to it - it also has a bit more smell and taste.. and ascerbic fruitiness on to of the heri acetone type smell. the bud density is impressive - the yield on the plant was 24g which from a 5 litre pot is pretty impressive. ive just taken a cut from the young mother plant to veg up for a full scrog.

the Bubba x DC is nice too, pretty much 50/50 between bubba and DC tbh. yield was 10g.

hi guys ive been holding out on you slightly - been busy changing things round in my bigger cab. need to change my signature links as i have a new grow diary having changed my 250 hps for a 187w LED.

so back to this cab, here is one of my Power Black F2's that finally got put to flower a little late. i had 3 girls and chose the one with the widest leaves as i am looking for a power plant type pheno. we are about a week into flower.

and the other half of the cab is currently housing a bubba kush plant and a shark1 plant (actually a very old sharksbreath cut) both of these are being sprayed with colloidal silver in an attempt to reverse their sex and get pollen from them. i'll be making some S1's and some feminised crosses with these if all goes well. they are yellowing a bit because they are potbound but should be fine for the purpose of making pollen.

pranoman, yeah there are plenty left on the plants - im seeing if i can pick them off before they are open so i can harvest the pollen more easily - the first few didnt seem to contain pollen so ive cut some more mature ones off today and we'll see what happens with them. if that doesnt work i'll cut a stem and keep it in water.
