im having a problem with pill bugs in my flowers soil anyone know how to get rid of um

What problem are they causing, or is their mere presence a problem for you?

If they aren't harming anything, and they should not be, let them be.

Pill bugs don't exactly hurt anything but the can quickly become an overwhelming infestation which if anyone has experienced it, it can be quite gross being surrounded by millions of these little roly polys.

Spread diatomaceous earth around the edges of walls/cracks. Also keep your area as dry/clean as possible. Loose dirt, especially constantly damp, is a perfect breeding ground. There not insects, there isopoda, so don't use insecticide or pesticides.

You can mix in the diatomaceous earth in your soil mix. It also helps with fungus gnats by shredding their bodies as they rub against it.

But like pinecone said, they probably aren't hurting anything if there just in your flower pots. There pretty cute, just not where your walking on tens of thousands of em which happens.

You can find it at any home supply store- home depot, lowes, menards, walmart I bet would have it.

It dries the bugs out like salt on a slug when they walk over it. This will be the safest and cheapest approach, just spread powder where the bugs walk. If its really bad you might need to do a perimeter soak around the house with esfenvalerate.

You should get control back while at the same time not sterilizing your yard from anything living. Try to stay away from the really nasty stuff like carbaryl and malathion. Chemicals should always be a last resort, safer for you/safer for the environment. The Dio earth should clear it up.

That Organicide stuff might work as in a drench. Neem (or Azamax) as a drench would be another option. It is cheap and something you should have anyway. Another option would be a hot peppers.

Of course you could get real nasty with them, but someone is going to be smoking the weed and it seems like such a shame to toxify bud for the sake of eliminating pill bugs. This said, I'm sure someone will recommend Hot Shot No Pest Strips sooner or later. Good Luck!

You can get it at any hardware store, including Wally's World. It's just floor dri for picking up oil spills and such. A good brand name is Oil Dri Premium Absorbant.
