Strain selection for outdoor 2012....

Some of you guys in the Butte county area should try and get a hold of E18. It's 12.5% Trainwreck, 12.5% Nepalese, 25% Blue Knight and 50% Green Crack. It's definitely got a bit of the Trainwreck twang but much more complex than that. Larger buds but similar appearance to GC. The buds are rock hard and beautiful looking. It's a MONSTER yielder and my buddy told me some were getting 12 lbs. a plant. Even if you treat it like shit it yields well and puts out great herb. It's very potent. I'll get some pics up in the next day or two of a few buds I picked up. The buds come out so good it can easily pass for indoor. Kind of doesn't make sense to grow it inside lol.

I can easily seeing this becoming pretty popular in the next year or two. Think it finishes like Oct 7-15. The guy that made it is giving cuts freely so it should be in a neighborhood near you soon!

sounds bomb...im on the lookout for e18!!
You're probably tripping over it all the time in your neighborhood lol. For sure though I think it's a MUST try strain for outdoor growers and I rarely say things like that cause I know how valuable peeps grow space, time and money investment is. I'll have a shitload of cuts soon cause I'm gonna hand them out to friends in my neck of the woods. A friend is gonna take some good pics of what I picked up cause I don't own a camera and want to do the stuff justice. I can easily see it replacing Green Crack. The Green Crack x Blue Knight should be another good one. I picked up a lb of Blue Knight kief cause I just had too! Oh man the stuff is heavenly. Will get a pic of that up too. I'd rather grow a Blue Knight cross than Blue Knight for various reasons.

Yup...an overlooked area IMO. I like the weather patterns up in the hills better. Some crazy shit goin on up there. Wish I could do a reality show lol. It's like another world sometimes.

Speaking of Cheese I smoked some very nice Cheese x Blueberry yesterday. Some of the tastiest smoke of the day but the Mango was pretty good too!

Here's a few OK pics. The first is the largest piece of the lb of Blue Knight kief I picked up. It smells EXACTLY like the flowers. This is not pressed but as the bag was handled and jostled it simply formed a cake. It's soooo gooey. This stuff is very pure and wish my buddy had a macro lens! This chunk is actually 3.5" high. Blue Knight is not that easy to get but can be found and is starting to spread. Ridiculously early and goes for top dollar wherever it lands. It does not ship very well because of the structure. Very fragrant/flavorful/potent but loose structure. I'm gonna pass a bunch of little nuggets around to friends and probably press the rest into 1 ounce pieces, vacuum seal, freeze then break out in August for some fun!

Next is Good Times aka Vanilla Kush. Pretty hard to obtain and hails from Butte County as it's still tightly held. It's very dense and low odor/flavor but still wonderful. Taste is more nutty nutmeg. The stuff is very potent and burns forever! There's a new cut called Good Knight which is Good Times x Blue Knight or Blue Knight x Good Times which combines the best of both strains. Only about 4-5 people will be growing that this year from what I understand. A bunch of beans were tested and 'the' one was found during the 2011 season. Both strains are insanely fast at under 50 days and heard actually about 45 days. Killer for indoor work with the short cycle. This stuff rolled around in the bag a little but looks pretty close to fresh. The indoor GT goes for about $3300 lb. Finishes very early and at the beginning of the season easily goes for $2200 a lb. directly off the farm early season. BK also commands top dollar early on. Not too much GT left in inventory.

Last is E18. Yummy stuff and more dense than GT. Wonderful fragrance and potent. Like I said has a definite Trainwreck twang to it but does not smell like TW outright. Soon as I stuck my head in the bag I was like...oh yeah. Wicked good stuff!!! Should be easily available by connected people in Butte county. I'm pretty sure this one will leave it's mark in the community at least for awhile. Many in the area are dropping Green Crack and appears on it's way out. For sure this kicks the snot out of GC. A decent amount still around. The background is actually white so the nugs are a little darker than real life. Indoors this stuff must be insane!

I'm gonna arrange for a tray of E18 clones soon. Many will go into the garden along with Blue Dream and the Dime but plan on passing some to friends. The Dime is Lime Kush x Chem D and is an excellent yielder of high quality tight, potent, super sticky and tasty buds. Hope to get those cuts in a few weeks. I got a small sample and rave reviews from friends. It really stands out!

Good Info Nondual!!! I live in Butte county and havent even heard of E18!!! I dont do outdoor though only indoor. all of my friends grow non butte county strains. I remember when i moved here in 98' the raging local strain was the 10 bud. does that ring a bell? well you made me want to get involved with some more local strains, i'd like to run the E18 indoors. thanks!

Never heard of 10 bud but will ask my buddy. He's my hookup there and born and raised in that area. E18 is one of the strains created by the boys up in the hills. They basically create stuff that works for them. I picked up some stuff called Flavor and nice tight nugs of a more golden color. Kind of smelled like a bit of a skunky, citrusy, peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The lb had about 25 beans and was told feminized from a breeding project. This was from a guy working lots of genetics he does not hand out. For sure I'm gonna run those beans cause Flavor is some awesome stuff! This guy gets up to 24 a pack for his outdoor buds.

Last page a couple different people talked of Barney's Farm-Vanilla Kush....FUCK THAT PLANT. Spouted nanners around day 50. ***Bog gear directly next to it was nanner free, finish twice as heavy, and twice as fast.

Yes4 you better get that white girl and those strawberries I gave you under the big HPS.

And we need to start sifting through these buckets of seeds, they ain't gonna pop themselves...& I may be able to handle the starts for us, regardless of what we talked about earlier. Many younglins are easier to take care of than the current everyday nonsense I've been slaving over.

Yeah what you saw happen is not what I've heard or even close so whatever. This cut is a real gem and they've been running it for a few years without issues. It's done before 50 days anyway lol. I can only assume the cut came from that seed stock and guess they found the keeper you didn't. I run across some interesting things and usually only get partial information about it's origins and stuff.

theres junk in whoroville but some decent finds...like bubba kush for 1350 a pop that was on par with my LVPKs and can easily fetch 25 in most non med markets...looked better than most ive seen around for 15-16 but yeah a good amount of real cheap, badly trimmed, moldy packs too but we stay away from those....my buddy knows some old timers in the foothills up there so we arent dealing with any of the tweaks with no growing experiance....the real deals to be had right now are on all the shitty indoor that hit the market..been seeing indoors that werent properly grown going for 1k a pop! deals deals deals...a little beasterish but cant argue with the price! and i literally bought some "california middies" basically the most shitty weed you can find right now for under 500 a pound. its brown, smells like tea, barely has any frost, but its better than mexican and non bricked up, and mexican brick still fetches 500 in arizona...i dont smoke any of this shit just put a few points and pass it to guys who know what to do with it..

that vanilla kush looked weird...nice frost but the nugs were not heavy at all, very "speary" and airy if that makes sense....if it came out that fluffy indoors i can only imagine how fluffed it would be outdoors. maybe it was a mislabeled cut or just a bad pheno...

Wow man not the same stuff and doesn't even sound close. The VK I got is almost rock hard and wouldn't hesitate to recommend people run it outdoors if they came across it. You could pass it off as indoor IMO. For sure I think better stuff out there but this cut is tried and true. I'm more of a fragrance/flavor whore and the VK is a bit lacking there but still OK. I want the entire package! Only thing I kept any of this season was some Red Dragon a friend gave me and kept a bunch of the Blue Knight kief too. I think it may actually be called Blue Night and need to get that straight. Someone else mentioned it might be Blue Nightmare but first I've heard that. All my friends are really liking the hash I'm spreading and gives you an idea what the flowers are all about.

Did Barney's create VK? I have no idea. Also did they create Red Dragon?

my buddy knows some old timers in the foothills up there so we arent dealing with any of the tweaks with no growing experiance.
Yeah some great growers up in the hills but I've run across some real junk when looking around and have no idea how they can move that stuff in the local market regardless of price. Local where I live I reject most everything I see. I don't get it...it's so easy to grow great herb with a little attention and starting with solid genetics. There's soooo much crap out there.

I have to chime in on the VK also. I grew her out indoors from seed form last year and she was very nice. I only vegged for about 2 weeks and she yielded around 2+ ounces and it was top notch smoke. Very floral and dense nugs, no nanners. The VK was my favorite out of that harvest so I want to see what she can do outdoors. I think I have at least one spot in my outdoor garden for VK.

My Vanilla is the real thing, from someone's ass keestered. 10 seeds...1 keeper. I did see the end product during the first run (nanner free) and it looked nice, but lacked smell and taste. Not tomention it smoked like a ruderalis, total headache weed. Sucks because I didn't smoke any because I though a cure would bring out more smell and flavor, nope. Now when I went to flower mine I noticed a great smell, can't comment on the taste yet, but they seriously looked better at day 45 than day 55?!

I think this could be a good strain, but nothing great. Barney's Farm has a lot of what I like to call "steroid weed" something that aesthetically pleasing, but effect is always meh. And I was a judge in the Dam and Barney's was right next to our apt. The best thing they had going was their pineapple pancakes.

Anyways this wasn't 100% a flop, they did plump before busting, so it's not a totally lost like if it happen at week 3-4. But still they nannered, the Bog gear didn't, thus they don't make the cut for next time. Outside may be a different story, but for me...no more feminized anything, too unstable.
