Personal observation?

Yes...I went through the links you posted....and he was only listed as Editor in the Investment Newsletters...which had none of the writing style of the others-- (I forget the name of them, and am feeling a bit lazy this morn, so I didn't go back and get them-- lol

Personal observation?

Actually, going by your earlier posted quote, the one with handy racism quotes withs the masthead listing ron paul as editor were from the investment letter AND predated the questionable material. But who needs facts when they font serve an agenda.

And I'm willing to bet all of you who read about how some blacks in dc are"gangsters" didnt get to the part where it says (paraphrasing now) " it is nice to see the ethiopian community in dc are hardworking blacks who try to better their community", but instead would rather try to paint as a racist a doctor who in 1972 texas(a far more racist place and time than we will ever see) was the only person who delivered a bi-racial baby, and paid for it himself (mind you these wee people he didn't know).

Wow, what a racist scumbag he is '...............note sarcasm.

And anyone who isn't going to vote should stay out of this thread. You are doing a disservice to america.

Happy new year everyone (including those I disagree with)

Oh yeah, ron paul is the only one who wanted to DECRIMINALIZE marijuana. Thus is a far cry from legalization sheff the inherent tax issues.

GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul has commented on the emotional testimony of a man who explained how Dr. Paul came to his rescue when know one else would purely because his wife was white and he was black.

The video, released this week not by the Paul campaign but by independent supporters, features James Williams explaining how close to forty years ago Ron Paul was the only physician who would help him when his pregnant wife became sick.

Mr Williams of Matagorda County, Texas, says he believes no one would come to his aid and deliver the couple’s child “because of the difference, me being black and her being white”.

Mr Williams then explains how Ron Paul stepped in and took care of his wife and even dealt with the medical expenses after the baby was tragically stillborn.

The congress is more important we need to elect pro legalization reps and senators. Ron Paul is a good option as opposed to obama for legalization or decriminalization at least

^any more examples like that?

Does your candidate have ANY examples like that?..... Didn't think so.

As for discos earmark argument.....

Like 92 people like this. Be the first of your friends.

In his March 16, 2009 column “More Earmarks – Less Government” Ron Paul explains how earmarks increase transparency by assigning funds (that would otherwise be spent by secretive bureaucrats) to a specific and fully accountable purpose:

If a congressman does not submit funding requests for his district the money is simply spent elsewhere. To eliminate all earmarks would be to further consolidate power in the already dominant executive branch and not save a penny. Furthermore, designating how money is spent provides a level of transparency and accountability over taxpayer dollars that we don’t have with general funds. I argue that all spending should be decided by Congress so that we at least know where the money goes. This has been a major problem with TARP funding. The public and Congress are now trying to find out where all that money went. More…

On March 10, 2009, Ron Paul spoke on the House floor about the true nature of earmarks and how all spending shoul

Disco and everybody needs to chill out.

Lol. Some of us actually know the difference between information, perspective and pejoratives.

I think you're a bit misinformed about his views and think that something written under his name is the same as him writing it.
Then you haven't read very much in this thread. I've already acknowledged the plausible deniability and emphasize(d) the cottage industry, money making part of it. I also pointed out very early that something stinks about Ron's political calculus. Ron's never even made it to the big dance (at least in modern history) yet he's playing like all this stuff's in his rear-view mirror.

If he was a racist wouldn't his racism show up in his policies and actions?
I'd credit him as sponsor, co-sponsor or even a yes-vote (where credit is due) even though Rick Santorum claims that Congress has passed only one Ron Paul initiative.

We don't necessarily have to dissect the r word and whether it applies. We don't necessarily have to identify a writer so derogatory that nobody is willing to take enough responsibility to lay it to rest. Like a doodie laying on the floor, somebody eventually has to pick it up and dispose of properly. If not, it just lays there for the person to say, "ewe!"

Most folks end up saying something insensitive at some point in their life, doesn't make em bad folks. Many retract their statements as wrong headed, etc. Many simply apologize. Unfortunately, this was Ron's money maker. His own associates have acknowledged the fact they recognized that money and spew has direct correlation.

I'm not going to argue because I disagree with Paul on his stance on immigration but other than that the guy is the best in the Republican field but to call him racist because of something a guy working for him wrote is over the line.
You might want to hold that one for somebody actually calling Ronnie a racist. I consider the guy more a combination of snake oil salesman and carpetbagger wanna-be.

Other than the newsletters what is your problem with him
Probably the fact that every stump pitch is book-end extreme. What's irritating isn't so much the "gold standard" ringy dingy, it's the blank stare that comes from being asked what would would happen.

What's really aggravating is the idea we have to pretend the shit will hit the fan so bad that nobody will even as much as ask what they're opting for.

and who do you intend to vote for?
The person I feel will least-diminish revenues and corporate/safety/environmental regulations.

And who would that candidate be? Your responses show me that you are indeed misinformed but this is not the place for me to spew my political beliefs at others and try to convince them as every individual is entitled to their own opinion. A mod should just lock this thread because this isn't the place for political discussions its a place to talk about cannabis and that's not what he is entirely about.

The O cheerleaders seem scared shitless....

If you are a big fan of more war, more harassment of mmj, ndaa, usapatriot and presidents owned by Goldman by all means vote for O.
Personally I dont want bush to have a 4th term.

You can tell the pro O crowd are afraid when they keep bringing up their equivalent of Jeremiah wright with this idiotic newsletter tripe.

We get it SS and DB you prefer more war, federal raids and Goldman to peace, freedom and a president not owned by banks...

Just dont think you will convince anyone else that obusha is anything more than a tyrant.

You do realize no one is forcing you to read this thread?
Surely no one made you post...
Why would you want to silence a thread you dont have to read?

DISCOBISCUIT don't hide behind the fact we are mostly supporting Ron Paul to not put something costructive in the thread.

A sail rides the wind, a rudder steers it's course. Grow a rudder and stop suggesting I'm steering your sail.

Read the title! Ron Paul 2012!!! Your thoughts on who we should pick for our "Cause"?
Ron does a pretty good job telling you what you should want. He won't touch the what-you-should-expect part. If history's any indicator, you'll say, "fuck this, we need something different."

So who do you want and why?
Taking the attention off Ronnie? I'm voting for somebody I happen to have considerable disagreements. But instead of pissing in the wind I actually weigh the objectives. I already said I wouldn't vote for Michelle, her brother Rick and her other brother Rick.

Aside from those, Ron would be last on my list.

Where is your ideas or your "causes" or your candidates.
For starters, I wouldn't consider inflammatory publications as a way to gain personal wealth, campaign contributions, national name recognition or all of the above.

I would expect that anybody worth a single vote might feel the same way.

Your in here spewing rhetoric and you don't want a valid discussion.
You have several options. You can read or ignore. You can address the subject matter or the messenger. I find it surprising that Ronnie's newsletters aren't objectionable yet their reflection is. Especially when my latest personal comments were about the war on Christmas baloney.

When you address the r word flying around, address the folks flying it. Not the folks you happen to substantively disagree.

lol ,and we are gonna pay for it with the use of goverment force, now that people are FORCED to buy insurence otherwise face a fine.they like to leave out the bad bits.

Now mabey one day you may not be able to afford the insurence, then how would punishing you help?

i know that the hospitals will treat you reguardless before and after this bill, the only thing that changed is insurence companies have less encentive to give you quality care for a price that only a insurence company can afford.
the freemarket solution is competing hospitals ,you help more people with better quality then you probabley gonna see more buisness, and you would have to charge according to what people can afford otherwise youll lose customers. thats a true encentive to give better care and no one gets fined.

As I explained earlier it causes fighting between members of the site with huge threads like this which is completely stupid because it drives a wedge between us when we are all here for the same reason. If he wants to vote for a candidate that you don't like that's fine.

Also lets be honest, if the military industrial complex thought that Ron Paul had any chance he would be gone, they have way to much to lose....

-SamS
If he ever got into a position to really challenge the status quo he'd be JFK'd.

As much as I hate to say it, I don't see anyway that O doesn't win again. He's too precious to the MIC and the banks.

In the end it's bread and circuses and the illusion of choice.
